Moments later, the whole group is reunited as Randolph, Lucas, and Kogeki are Teleported to the next floor.  But this time, Lucas looks around the room with a sense of...recognition.



"This is it.  Once we walk out of that exit, we'll be at Spear Pillar, the ancient ruins built to enshrine Dialga and Palkia at the summit of Mt. Coronet.  I don't know what we'll find there, but if there are any last minute preparations you need to make, do so now.  I'm not sure what exactly we'll find out there, but I don't expect it will be anything good."

A little while before Ran and his mini-group is warped to the next Floor, he takes the time to speak with Paula as they (his mini-group) themselves explore for the Stairs, the siren queen herself sticking very close to him as they traveled. After that harrowing fight with Diamond Steelix and their enslaved Coal Onix 'allies' and her Evolution and his emotional moment, she's the one feeling overly protective and caring now, and not the other way around.

" Well well, look how much ya grown on me in so little time, Paula. You're bigger, taller, and much prettier than me now, ha ha ha! Didn't expect you'd Evolve during that battle, but I say its a great change for ya , lass. *Chuckles* Or should I call you 'my lady' now, since you look like nobility now? "

Regarding his big siren's protectiveness, the midget miner of course picks up on this, and while normally he'd be irritated about being 'coddled' like so, after everything that happened he just.....isn't bothered by it. He understood her reasons to act like she does. Not just from the context of the events themselves, but also because he understand her feelings too now. For the Cloyster hearted man who seldom connected to anyone on deep emotion level, it was quite a jarring discovery, like it had been when he had similar revelations concerning his understanding Diam, Beethoven, Brigid, Stymph, and previously most recently Zorn.

Yet again he somehow managed to form a strong bond with one of his partners without quite knowing how or why, and while that frustrated him as always, this time....he was less bothered by it. Perhaps it was his conversation with his partners on the job, the personal growth he went due to the trails of it, both or something more, but.....he seemed to get it a little better, even if only on instinctual level. Maybe someday soon, he'll find the answers he's been looking for all these years....

".....Ya know, you're the first Pokemon I've have that's ever Evolved, Paula. I've always preferred partners that don't or have already Evolved, and I didn't know you were capable of Evolution when I caught ya, so imagine my surprise when my little sea lass becomes a great big queen o' the waves mid-battle! Nearly distracted me from the fight, ha ha! *Shakes head* Don't think of it as a bad thing, though. It was unexpected, but....it was nice too. *Smiles* Knowing that I helped ya become the very best you can be. We'll have to celebrate the occasion later, but right now I just want to let ya know I'm for ya, and I'm....thankful I have a partner wonderful as you, my lady."

Upon reuniting with Kee and the rest of his mini-group, Ran gives the ladies a once over to see if they're fine, before looking over to give the colorful musician a downright devious smirk.

"Looks like my faith in ya was right, Kee. Took mighty fine care of the ladies, and showed them a good time while exploring. An Outstanding performance, but what else could I expect from a charming and compassionate musician like yourself?"

The lewd innuendo continues, and boy oh boy is Ran and Diam is enjoying, judging from their grins and the later's cackles. Paula reaction I'm not too sure about, but maybe she blushes from it or doesn't get it at all?

Lucas' warning cuts through the dwarven craftsman' air of jollity , causing him to sober up in an instant as he regarded the Exit with a wary look, as if it were going to come up a bite him.

"Ain't that right? Well, I'll take ya up on that suggestion. If Dialga and/or whatever is responsible for Tauros shit supernatural mystery force is sitting pretty out there, I damn sure want to be ready as I can for it."
