Daxter and Pyra are able to get out of the trap once the Trapinch have been fainted, as there no longer seems to be any kind of force that's pulling them further into the gravel.

Every member of the party gets 3 exp for defeating the Trapinch and surviving the traps.

With the last Trapinch is felled by her toothy maw, she hop-yanks herself out of the gravel and contemptuously kicks the ant lion away from her before marching over to Dax and helping him out if needed, giving him a serious but concerned once over as she does.

"Dax, my companion, are you truly well? If not, nay, I can handle matters of exploration and protect thee until you are well and well recovered, yes. "

Regardless of that interaction, I have one question concerning the gravel (Area) Trap made by the Trapinch: is it possible to use it to dig under/around the Big Rock blocking her mini-group's forward on their current tile? Because if so, I rather we get the chance to try to do so, as doubling back will be just wasting valuable time going back through old tiles AND give the MD a chance to further screw and delay them with Random (Read: Reroll) Events. That, and going back has the not insignificant chance of re-Encountering the Team Gallop (or whatever they're called), which could lead to problems given how their last interaction with Pyra went....

(Also, any Items/stuff that the Trapinch/gravel pit has, now that they've been defeated?)

If not, then its time to backtrack to the previous tile, and see what happens from there. If nothing happens, continue backtracking until Pyra's mini-group comes back to the whole group's 'entrance point' into the dungeon, then have her group try to go through the cave and see if that leads out of the dungeon or to a new part of it. Given how esoteric and strange MDs work, its not unlikely that what was a entrance now just leads to another part of the Floor's maze.
