One of your guesses was really close. These seals are binding something in a room below you, and to the sides, but that's not all they're doing. They're also channeling off a lot of excess elemental energy from those rooms. To the sides are trap runes channeling fire, electric, psychic, and draconic energies. The central one is channeling and sealing an elemental type you've never worked with before.

There is a specific path among the runes that someone would have to take in order to be safe from the traps if an incorrect password were entered. That route forms a sort of countercharm symbol and deposits the walker in a safe zone within reach of the keypads, but not directly in front of them.

Heart after noticing these patterns he begin to share this information with everyone. "Well people, I was half right indeed. These seals is indeed binding something in some room belows us to the other sides. But it seems its not absorbing energy. Instead it is channeling a lot of elemental energies in those rooms. There is so much Elemental Energy in those symbols I almost feeling sick."
