Vaporeon does some exploration of the chasm. Water is usually rushing down it - but every now and then, a huge bubble of natural gas comes up through the chasm, causing a firework of "exploding" seawater. Some of these can be very violent, bringing up ancient silt and materials. There are also a lot of nutrients in such a place, leading to a relatively big population of invasive Lavent.

Ohhh that sounds interesting, curious, fascinating, and like a fine distraction to not dwell in self-loathe. "Well done, my dear!~", Shiva greets her waterly Eeveelution upon they come back to report on the chasm. "Now, let's do a bit of further exploring together, shall we? We can use your new DIVE skill, yes! ♡(^v^ )"

Huh, Lavent. Shiva has never seen these Pokemon before until checking for them in her Almanac, she finds them somewhat scary... Interesting and unique, yet they somehow creep her out personally.

Can Shiva and Vaporeon wait for such a gas bubble to cause a firework of exploding sea water to obtain a bit of the ancient silt and 'materials' they bring up? Sounds semi-dangerous to do so, but she 1. got the Ancient Shield to protect herself and Vappy from being hurt by that explosion (aka, protecting from additional effects) and she doesn't leave out an opportunity like this to collect stuff for crafting or just keeping.
