There's no cover in this area.  It's just a straight corridor.  And despite being a ruin, this place is actually in fairly decent shape.

Throwing the pearl would also be really, really difficult for Kee.  Not impossible with a single action, just hard.  As it's not designed as a throwing item, and Kee's a quadrupedal pokemon, that'll have a -3 accuracy penalty to it if Kee wishes to try using it as a makeshift throwing item.

VS Monferno Round 1

Monferno shakes his head and gets his bearings straight.  Now surrounded, outnumbered, and outdamaged, he doesn't look quite so confident any more, though his attitude is still incredibly defiant.

"You've not gotten the best o' me yet, ya jerks!"

And saying thus, he tries to swipe at Daxter with a hand!

...but the attack doesn't have enough force behind it to actually cause anyone kind of concern.

Monferno's panting heavily from being attacked by so many pokemon simultaneously.  This battle probably isn't going to be lasting much longer at this rate.

VS Monferno Round 2

At the rebellious simian's defiant words and less than spectacular Scratch, Pyra could help but let out a cheerful yet mocking giggle at their expense.

"Actions and reactions speaks louder-clearer than works miscreant Monferno, yes, and yours tells me and us you're at your wits and fitness' end...!~" she trills out playfully, with just a hint of darker menace lacing her tone. Then without further prompting the brimstone imp attempt to further compound the monkey's woes by tripping them up, followed again with some (hopefully this time) scorching Embers! Face it, you baddie: your criminal reign shall come to an aburpt end!

Orders: Pyra's going to try and Knockdown Monferno to further ruin their Accuracy (or at least make it harder to use its Moves) and perhaps chip in a little more, then retry setting them alight with Ember! Enough said, so let's finish our Team's first criminal contract off!

Effect: Knocks the Target down!
