(...)Unfortunately, Monferno sees the attack coming this time, and dodges around the ghostly Riolu's attack to strike at Kee with a dangerous Fighting type move!
2* Str + 2 Pow + STAB - 1 Def + QE = 4 D6 + 2
(5)(3)(2)(3) Kee takes 3 damage and faints as the attack launches him into a wall!

Karen stares in shock and worry at the intensity of the blow, but she's even more surprised when a beam of light engulfs Kee, and the Galarian Zigzagoon is standing again less than a second later (though he's definitely feeling a little groggy)!  One Tiny Reviver Seed has been expended, and Kee is revived with 2/4 HP and -2 Pain.

Monferno just seems angry and frustrated instead of surprised.  "Damn you adventurers!  My boss will have your heads for this!  You got that?" (...)

Oof. that Mach Punch hit kinda hard, and the blow from hitting the wall with his back isn't really any less painful. As Ziggy Kee falls back to the ground in a dramatic slow motion and finds himself at the verge of loosing his conscience - "THAT must be what it feels like t'faint in-battle, doesn't it...? See ya then, people...~" - he all suddenly feels a little better. Just like that, and within a split second even. Huh, how NEAT and HANDY, yessss!!1 ( ÒωÓ)و☆

He's still feeling shaky, groggy and not fully confident, but that does NOT prevent him from continue participating in this battle against Monferno aka slamming himself into them as some sort of revenge blow while their words of 'My boss will have your heads for this' ring back ominously within his mind. So that means that...Monferno's working for someone?!


Either way, the battle soon ends with Monferno's defeat, and Ziggy Kee finally has the time to slump on the ground and take a deep breath. "Uggghhh... Headache... My ears are ringin'...", he mumbles to himself as he rolls to his side. His inner curiosity eventually brings him back onto all fours though soon enough, sniffing and clawing the ground for anything that may have been dropped during the battle and that he can pickup. A bit of red Monferno-fur would be neat.

When Kogeki thought he would be capable of intercept Monferno attack, he dodge the Punch in the last second and strike at Kee. Everyone was able to defeat Monferno and after the battle ends Kogeki rush towards Kee.

"Kee! Are you alright?" Kogeki punch the ground in frustration. "Damn it. I sorry. I was not able to stop Monferno attack in the right moment. The bastard was more quick than me."

When Kogeki make sure Kee was okay, along with everyone else he said. "Monferno probably guard something ahead. Karen, could you use some healing on Kee before we head to the next room? I don't want to give chances about Kee received any more injuries and faint." (...)

When Kogeki rushes over to Kee to ask whether he's alright, the black-white crittercoon's instant reaction is...

... to slap away Kogeki's paw with a claw of his own.
And give him a look kinda like this:


"I'm alright", he points out with an almost ridiculous amount of emphasis, "Might be a tad bit shaky, but that's NAT worth mentionin'. Am good. Oh, an' PWEASE dontcha make it sound like it's been yar fault that Monferno hit me, 'kay? Cuz it really was nat. Dontcha be sorry, no need for that." *weak yet encouraging smile*

Then Ziggy Kee turns away to avoid Kogeki's look, he seems adamant on insisting that he's okay. And so he doesn't react when Kogeki asks Karen to heal him (Kee) before moving on, acts indifferent about it. (It's up to Karen whether she does use Life Dew on Kee or not, he himself will not use any healing on himself)


Sounds harsh on first glance, when it reality it's that Kee is absolutely not used to someone else (bar Octavia and his uncle probably) really caring for him and being worried about his wellbeing. He grumbles a bit to himself and hides his face, finding this whole situation unfamiliar and awkward and therefor having not much of an idea how to react properly - it's very hard for him to admit that deep inside he's actually happy and thankful for Kogeki's concern.
