Bug Maze Room 2, Round 1
Lumia hesitates momentarily before following Pyra's orders, seeming to think about what to do. (If you want specific numbers and more, that's what the 'recruited pokemon' sheet I linked awhile back is for.)
When she does decide what to do, Lumia tries to cloak her target in as much fire as she possibly can, knowing that they're suuuuper vulnerable to it.
Fire Spin
4d6 + 2 - 2
(6)(4)(2)(6)
(5)(1)(2) Sewaddle takes 3 damage! 2/5 HP -2 Pain
Sewaddle becomes trapped by the flames!
Sewaddle panics slightly and tries to fight back with (arguably flammable) string.
String Shot 1
3d6 - 2 - 2 = -1
Luck Die!: (3) Bzzzzzt
Sewaddle ends up getting tangled in their own string, which seems to slow them down a little. -1 Accuracy for Sewaddle
(I've been thinking about how to enforce Luck Dice versus moves failing in this Play by Post system, and I'm thinking about bringing Luck Dice into play when they're either a) requested by the player if the move would have an accuracy pool of 0 or less b) whenever the dice pool would become negative. If the dice pool is exactly 0, there's no consequences. What do you guys think about that rule?)
Pyra lunges. Nom.
Bite 1
(6)(6)(4)(1)
(5)(6)(3) Sewaddle takes 2 damage and faints!
Burmy starts to swing back and forth from its position on the overhang as Karen channels her Psychic power into an attack.
Confusion
(5)(3)(3)(5)
(5)(2)(2)
Burmy takes 1 damage 4/5 HP
(4)
The momentum allows Burmy to launch itself at Pyra to try and bludgeon her.
Tackle
(5)(6)(4)(3)(5)
(3) No damage
Pyra just shrugs the weak physical attack off before mercilessly burning the poor bug in response.
Ember 2
(4)(2)
(4)(2)(3) Burmy takes 2 damage 2/5 HP -2 Pain
(6) Fwoosh! Burmy is Burned 1!
Burmy takes 1 damage from its Burn 1. 1/5 HP -3 Pain
With Sewaddle KOed and Burmy about to be KOed the next turn, the remaining Bug type surrenders. "I give up! You win! You can proceed to the next room!"
Two large stone doors stand at the other end of the room, and they slowly roll open as Burmy starts crawling towards a small pool of water in the room to extinguish its burn ASAP.
Karen, Pyra, and Lumia all gain 2 exp.
