Conkeldurr would indeed block that projectile with his sturdy stone column, but he definitely doesn't expect Kogeki to use the momentum to swing past the obstacle and land a direct hit!

Conkeldurr throws Kogeki and Kee aside with a single sweep of one of his columns, then charges at Pyra!  He plants the pillars in the ground, lifts himself off of it slightly, and lashes out at the Devimp with a powerful kick!

A series of rapid attacks follow in an attempt to finish off the Apple thief!  The attacks can barely scratch that thick steel armor, but scratches are all that are needed!

Marcus and Pyra whiffing their last two moves doesn't matter, though, as a 1 HP Forretress  isn't going to last very long against 5 relatively healthy opponents, one of which is a Fire type that it cannot possibly hope to KO.  It begins to slowly back off, retreating towards Conkeldurr, but never turning away from the party in an effort to defend its leader.

Victory!  Everyone gets 4 exp for wiping the floor with Conkeldurr and Co.!  Everyone also gets a surge of confidence that grants them 1 Will Point!
