[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows

[Dragonstrike]

Daxter frowns. "Footprints... Can't tell whose these are but I'd rather we get the lay of the land before we go chasing after some unknown footprints. Why don't we backtrack a little? You lot will be able to get more on your little map, right? Let's to back to that last area and head north."

"The more data we get, the more detailed our report will be.  Just tread carefully.  My whiskers are picking up something farther into the trees..."

Ignoring the footprints and signs of battle for now, Daxter leads the group back to their starting point and farther north, deeper into the forest.

   

Dedenne is monitoring the group's surroundings carefully, while Bunnelby is keeping an eye on the more immediate area.  Snom can't help but comment as she looks at the towering trees ahead and to the right that both appear to be climbable.

"...i-it's quiet...al-almost too quiet."

"I agree.  No wild pokemon yet.  Strange."

Dedenne suddenly calls out to everyone.  "Wait, stop!  There's something here..."

*rolls*

On Alert after that warning, Daxter just manages to catch a glimpse of something yellow moving from tree to tree, traveling to the north.  The sound of rustling leaves can be heard among the constant pitter patter of the falling rain.

Rowlet's feathers are a bit ruffled, having also seen that brief glimpse of something.  Snom exclaims in surprise.  "Eep!  That flash of yellow and blue!  Do you think that's...that's..."

"It is likely a wild pokemon of some sort, yes.  You have good eyes, Snom.  I did not see any blue."

"Oh, uh...th-thank you..."

"What do you want to do, Daxter?  I imagine the wild pokemon are rather skittish, given how quiet it is right now.  We could try and look for loose items elsewhere to prepare for a fight, but there's a chance we might encounter other wild pokemon as well and have to fight them."
