[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
Team Omega Seekers and their allies head inside the Glacial Ruins, the sudden snowstorm an ominous sign.  This is not the dreadful, smothering wind that would be threatening to blow them out of the mystery dungeon though.  It is a freezing cold, bleak feeling storm.  And as the group wanders through the icy halls of the ruined Glacier Palace, they encounter no wild pokemon.  The growing feeling of isolation is something that Madame Twintales cannot help but remark on.

"There are supposed to be wild pokemon like Piloswine and Pawniard here.  The fact that we have not encountered any by now is...disturbing.  Something is amiss."

The Ninetales looks warily around every corner before ushering the party through the dungeon with renewed urgency.

During the exploration, Team OS finds another Aspear Berry, a Quick Orb, and two Reviver Seeds (they can be distributed as necessary before the next part of this scene).

Eventually, the group of pokemon finally reached the center of the Glacial Ruins.  A large, spacious chamber of ice makes a stark contrast for all the tight corridors they were wandering through before.  The sudden snowstorm that had been hounding them throughout the corridors seems to stop as soon as everyone reaches the innermost chamber, which seems to be empty apart from a huge set of doors on one side of the room made from incredibly thick ice.  As everyone is looking around the room, Keldeo suddenly exclaims that he's found something.  "Look!  A frism!  And I think somebody left a message on it!"

Emolga briefly explains to Team OS's members what a frism is.  "It's basically an object that can remember things that are spoken to it, and then repeat them later.  They're pretty popular in Post Town as an alternative to written letters, but they're rather rare nowadays since you can only find them here.  If this one has a message on it though..."

Keldeo seems eager to check what's on the frism, as he doesn't hesitate to activate it to play the message that had been recorded.  The voice that comes out of it is not one that Team OS recognizes.

A Message Frozen in Time: Icy Sanctum - PMD: Gates to Infinity

Is this thing working?  Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3...okay, good, this is a fresh one.

You might be wondering who I am, but that's not important right now.  What is important is that I'm the only human on this planet that still has their memories of their life as a human.  And because of that, I can tell something is wrong.  And I might be the only one with enough knowledge to figure out how to fix whatever is happening.

"Sue!  It's Sue!  But why'd she leave a frism here?"

"Shhh, she's not done yet."

I've noticed the sky has been darkening lately, as if a large scale blizzard is coming.  And I've also noticed the Rainbows of Hope have started fading again.  The last time they disappeared, the Bittercold was formed out of all the mistrust in the world, nearly triggering a bitter ice age that would have wiped out all life.  I was the only one that could stop it, as not even the clairvoyant Kyurem could get anywhere near it.  No pokemon could on their own.  But stop it I did, with the hope and faith of all of my new pokemon friends, and the Rainbows of Hope returned.

If you've found this message, it means I've gone looking for Kyurem and not returned to Paradise.  The recent events have been reminding me of what happened when the Bittercold was gathering power.  I can't let something happen like that again, and I'm going to need Kyurem's help to figure out how to stop it.  Kyurem isn't here in the Glacial Ruins though, so I will have to look elsewhere for him.  I've heard rumors that he has been spotted on an island far to the south, near a mystery dungeon known as the Altar of Ice.  But before I go there, I'll need to find two stones, one black, one white.  With both of them, Kyurem should be able to...

The message is suddenly cut off by the sound of a howling wind, then resumes.

I need to go.  I've been in this Mystery Dungeon too long, and something is following me.  Follow my footsteps.  Kyurem the Clairvoyant will have answers once he is whole.

The message ends there, and everyone is silent for a moment as they try and process what that means.

Emolga's the first to speak.  "Kyurem isn't here then.  So why did your dream say to come here, Platina?"

"Maybe Kyurem knows something we don't.  He can see the future, after all."

Madame Twintales has been listening, but she seems to be distracted.

"That is entirely possible.  Hmmmm...could it be connected to the lack of wild pokemon in the area...?"

The group of pokemon does not have much time to ponder this revelation further, however, as the gigantic double doors on the other side of the room are suddenly thrown open with the force of a blizzard, and a flurry of snow fills the room!

W H O O O O S H ! ! !

Much like when Madame Twintales appeared, a pokemon has suddenly appeared while everyone was unable to see due to the snow.  This pokemon, however, is very, very different from the Ninetales.  Floating on a cloud is a humanoid pokemon with dark green skin and a long, purple tail.  Shadow tinged wind almost seems to wrap around them, and the snowstorm that had persisted during the exploration of those empty corridors has returned, stronger than before.  Accompanying the sudden blizzard is a very airy sounding cry.

Growing Tension: Rising Fear - Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity

"Who dares trespass on Tornadus's territory?!  You dare ignore the warnings of the Winter Blizzard's freezing winds?!"

Madame Twintales looks furious.  "This palace does not belong to you.  You are the trespasser here."

"This ruin was empty.  So I took it.  And from here, my freezing winds shall cover this land  You have no authority here, and you and all of your companions shall be ejected from this place immediately!"

"I am this palace's warden and a disciple of Master Kyurem.  I shall not let you defile these grounds!"

Keldeo and Emolga walk up next to Madame Twintales, ready to fight.

"I don't know who you are, but I think I can guess what type you are, and nobody challenges Emolga's Enforcers and goes unscathed!  Prepare to be zapped!"

"Nobody threatens my friends and gets away with it.  And as a Sword of Justice, I cannot let you simply do as you please with this continent!"

Kee hears a very excited Hoopa's thoughts in his head.  Yes yes yes, a fight!  And with a Legendary pokemon too!  Let me out let me out let me out!

VS Tornadus, the Winter Blizzard

VS Tornadus Initiatives
Tornadus: (6)+8 = 14
Keldeo: (6)+8 = 14
Emolga: (4)+7 = 11
Madame Twintales: (3)+7 = 10
Hoopa: (5)+5 = 10
Platina: (3)+7 = 10
Kogeki: (6)+3 = 9
Kee: (3)+5 = 8

VS Tornadus Round 1

It has begun to Snow!
This provides the +2 Def bonus to Ice types and has all the normal benefits of the Hail condition, but does not inflict damage to non-Ice types at the end of every Round.

Tornadus is wrapped in wind!
The effect of this status is currently unknown.

To release Hoopa from the Djinn's Bottle, it will require 1 action during combat.  Hoopa cannot act until it is released from the bottle.
