[Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands
#73
Alright, I've got done with the latest wave of PC Creation for y'all, so it's time to get onto the next big release of public resources - !

The Sutalör Map City/Location Reference
Now, I haven't had the time (or skill, frankly) to convert my Map to a more legible format, so that is still a bummer. What I have done, though, is find a reference point on them that everyone can use to (hopefully) find where everything is and is in relation with one another! Let's get armature cartography, mates!

[PERMISSIONS: PUBLIC]

[WEST SUTALOR ]

[Image: Sutalor-Map-Pt-1.jpg]

See the square that is Labeled 'A' ? We'll start here, going counter-clock wise as we name all the Cities and Towns. Locations, meanwhile, will have a descriptor of what to look for to find them on the Map, in relation to the other Cities/Town/Other Locations. Each place will have have a basic descriptor attached to it, and a Spoiler Tag containing Public/Shared information on the Place and what Events happened in it. I'll try to remember to keep those Tags updated, but if I don't just bug me until I do!

CITIES/TOWNS
===

Bayhama City - The City of Beginnings

Capital city of the Sutalor region, and the most densely populated. It is a major metropolitan area, tourist attraction, a political hotspot, and more, as it's many Foreigner's start to their journeys throughout these Wild Lands. Here is were Settlers are most comfortable and determined to call home - don't let their friendly and laid-back attitudes take you off guard, 'cause each and everyone of them has got grit! The Scimitars have their main embassy and ports to the Mageocracy here, from which a small population of Scimitar, Magi, and the Occultic people - these are about as friendly and outgoing as Magi are outside the Mageocracy. Natives are scarcer sight - they too have an embassy, but not much in the way of Lepia around.

-

Verdantia Conclaves - The People's Bread-basket

Sutalor’s Major and Primary Agricultural zone, formed by a collection of townships that have banded together to coordinate harvests and survive the harsh and bizarreness of their homeland/industry. Nature, land management, and conversationalist is held to an almost sanctimonious degree in these parts, and the culture and lifestyle is vastly rustic and simplistic with some modern leanings; a sharp contrast to Bayhama’s cutting edge modernity and multicultural busyness. The Settler folks here are much the same as the ones in the 'big city' , if a bit more vigilant ; and, occasionally, you might see a few of the Natives hanging around, keeping their distance from local and outsiders alike as they quietly go about their lives. A rare few Scimitars and Magi call this place home.

Mostly situation on and around the Whitefalls River and Delta Wetlands, and covers a large swath of the lower western part of the region. Borders and overlaps with the Delta Marshlands and Picaross River Natives: the Gomruve'Lepia, and the Dire Dartz hidden villages.

--

Port City Fweilabors - The Conflux Cove City

West Sutalor's other major port city, one focused more on shipbuilding and repairs, fishing, storage and frieght, and imports from East Sutalor and the Mageocracy. A 'business first' and blue collar sort of place, the Settlers here are of a rougher sort, toughed by their hard lifestyle and ever vigilence on the seas against Sutalorian Jellicents incursions and the errant Wandering Hurricane. If entertain is what you're looking for, the myraid docks has all sorts of salty seafayer delights - including, rumor has it, some fight clubs for the most daring out there. Scimitars (especially the Water Faction) have a controlling interest in this town, as its where they get most of their goods from; the Natives, by contrast, are a unwelcome sight, as Ceona'Lepia Pirates and roughnecks are despised and feared while the rare Hez'Lepia and Gomruve'Lepia is regarded with curiosity at best and uneasiness at worst.

---

Hez'Matiwa - Bewitching, Beguiling, Ever Beautiful

'The Towns of Mists' in Common, this is the primary homelands of the Lepia sharing the same name, being the second smaller of the two 'official' settlements of the Natives. Holds the highest population of Independent Pokemon too, many of whom are members of the Hez. A few odd Settlers call this place home, the most famous being Christain Handerson, best seller author of 'A Madman's Sorre: The Official Guide to Sutalör' . Scimitars are frequent visitors, intrigued and excited to discover the Magicks of the Hez, but just as often leave befuddle and frustrated - or not at all. For you see, this place is a snowy, misty, hazy, shrouded, and coniferous place, in times past the entire place was a labyrnthtine nightmare to traverse to all but the endemic people and their Mons, the lands unwelcoming of any hostile outsiders in their own uniquely fae and eldritch ways. Ever since the Scimitars enacted their Anti-Magic Tech and Spiritual Wards along the Route and around the town, though, travelers of all kinds have an easier time navigating this cold and curious place - though beware, for the protections are not all-encompassing, with it and the bordering Lostlorne Taiga still having plenty of tricks and surprises in store for the curious and incurious, bold or unbold....

----

Mrufe'Matawia - Reverence, Regard, Remembrance Bold

'The Town of Mountain Fail' in the Common language, it is A small city/big town (depending on how you look at it) located right outside, on, and within some part of Mt. Twinspires. In the past it was inhabited almost exclusively by traditionalistic Mrufe'Lepia, but the discovery of common metals, minerals, and rare, magical ores - Mithril, Adamantium, Orichalcum, and a plethora of rare Evolution Stones and Items -and other useful materials has attracted and maintained an healthy (and unwelcome, by the Natives) populace of Settlers and Scimitar (Earth Scimitar mostly, though they are most dislike at best by the Natives). It is the major industrial area of West Sutalor, with its metallurgy and mining industry booming, migration and integration ever ongoing, and modernization of the town continuing strong to the present day. Disputes between the indigenous people and the ‘Faldan’ (Flat Landers) , Vin'dacc, and Scimitar existence ever endures here, just as the mountains and its Lepia are - The Bush Wars bloody presence is still strong, and the memories of the Mrufe all long indeed...

-----

Quarmire Township - The Miresome Jungle-Sea-Grove Retreat'

The smallest town of West Sutalor, it is a strangely quaint and laid back place that is thoroughly entangled in the Region's infamous Picaross Mangroves - home to some of the nastiest Bugs and Poison types outside of the Gomruvushisspe’matigov - and the Glimmering Seas, home to the last great Undersea Empire of DEATH in Sutalor. This place and its surrounding locals are perhaps the deadliest and primal of West Sutalor, holding a Nature's bounty of plentiful and colorful threats that titulate and much as terrifies. The fact the area 'boasts' the highest concentration and diversity of Malefic Monstrum is not earning the place any rave travel agency reviews either - unless they're the stark raving mad and horrified kind. Despite this- or perhaps in spite of - the people - ALL the People - living here are the most laid back, carefree imaginable, almost one and all having a sort of 'lazy, devil-may care attitude' about them. It almost defies belief, but perhaps living so close and familiarly with death of all kinds has inured their sense of urgency - or, perhaps, it has made them among the strongest people of the world.

LOCATIONS (Work in Progress)
===

Gomruvushisspe’matigov

'The Gathering Grounds of the Green Mountain Valley Snake Passage' in Common speech, this is the one 'unofficial' settlement of West Sutalor. Or, more accurately, the stomping grounds of the nomadic Tribes of the Gomruve'Lepia, who journey back and forth and 'round and 'round the circular valleys, hills, and what little plains and grasslands not chocked by dense jungle. This is the connecting ring and paths that binds the circular Route of West Sutalor - tread lightly here, for this is where Barsihisska slither and Rumbling Mountains roam most.
