Alright.
I've been holding off posting for awhile, as between work, helping you all out PC Creation-wise, and brainstorming in general I have frankly had all my time occupied.
However, I've put things off long enough, me thinks. The vast majority of you are pretty much done aside from some stuff that can be rushed to completion, and I myself am getting tired of the wait. So, without further ado, I'll be properly starting the campaign in the near future. The soonest that I can start would be Thursday (All Day), but if that time is inconvenient I'll push back the start time. The point is that the time has finally come to kick things into gear, rev up the engine, and start this wild ride!
There is one big thing that needs to be decided by EVERYONE, however - Where the PCs shall start in the Region. I've mentioned it briefly before, but due to several factors you guys currently have 3 Different Starting Locations to choose from. They are as follows:
- Bayhama City - The Default Option, and Sutalor's biggest and most metropolitan and commercial city. It's the easiest way path avaliable, as their are a LOT of places to stock up on goodies, Rare Mons, and even other convenience options, and it has the most connections to the rest of the Region, be it to Quarmire, Verdantia, or trying to hitch a ride to the Mageocracy or to one of the other coastal cities. You're not liable to run into anything truly exciting there, however, bar Strangness and Fortunate being on/against your side, and the city is huge enough that you could spends in-game weeks exploring it and still not run out of Strange or new things to do (a time sink, in other words). It's also the seat of Sutalor's Government, which may or may not try to pull you into their business depending on how things shake out early on. Overall, a solid start.
- Port Town Grinita - This option was unlocked due to a combination of PC Choices and that enough of the existing PCs have a high enough power rating. It's 'Hard Mode' Start, in the sense you're not going to get near1y as much of a luxurious start as Bayhama, but in exchange you have more opportunities for Challenges, Quests, Hunts for Rare and Exciting Mons and Artifacts, or even Base Building and playing the local trade if you want to bog yourself down in the busy work and capital sinkhole that entails. You also have access to some of the most exciting locations from the get go between the Ferromagnetic F1oodp1ains and the Taiga beyond, or going prospecting and cowboy-ing in the true Frontier of Sett1ed Suta1or. Lastly, if you guys want to interact with the Natives right away and get to discovering and researching all the Lore and Special Stuff surrounding them this is pretty much THE option - Smelta Town/Matiwa is the home to the friendliest Lepia out of everyone (if the most boisterous, hot blooded, and some cases crazy), the Hez are a welcoming (if obfuscating) community , and the various Plains/Desert bands of Lepia are traders and community focused and therefore rather willing to open up a bit to 'Outsiders' of most kinds. Overall, a bold start.
- Mageocracy - This option was unlocked because at least one PC choose 'Scimitar' as a Background and most of the existing PCs are not the sort that the mages would detain and/or deport on sight , though that doesn't necessarily mean most of them will trust you all that much without a good reason and some good social work. This is the most 'politically intriguing' route, since starting here means - for one reason or another - you're getting into the thick of things when it comes to Magi Culture and the undercurrent of esoteric and arcane weavings that Scims and Non-Scim Magi tend to create as a afterthought, so tread lightly or be prepared to get roped into the working of one magical and/or government project or another. On the flip side starting here means you don't have to bog through any bureaucracy or quests to gain access to this magical enclave full of the Strangest and most Mysterious Locations in the Region, they are plenty of opportunities to engage with Magic in very fun and lucrative ways, and you have chances to gain a foot in with the Scimitar Council in a professional sense. Overall, an intriguing start.
Choice will be decided by majority vote; in the event of a tie, I'll decide in favor of the option that has the most discussion and interest surrounding it. Alternatively if you guys wish I can Randomly Decide which place you'll start, which will take out a bunch of planning and open you guys up to the possibility of Fortunate Shenanigans early on.
In the meantime, I have another thing for you to choose from: Lore Selection! From fleshing out more background details to introducing new factors, I got stuff that'll hopefully interest and excite! Vote on one of the Following 3:
- More Info on The Heroes of Cheshires, as well as other Key Figures from the time of Iron's AU Campaign.
- More Info on Enigma, its Associates, Neo Unova as a whole, and what exactly have they done for the wider world.
- More Info on the Regions themselves, focusing on a couple of Key Figures from each and how they've shaped up since the Ruinous Times.
That should be everything for now. If you have any questions about the above or anything you've been pondering since the start send them my way!

Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
