To Aaron, Seddi nods in affirmation. His assumptions about La Primera aren't far off. "There's a little I can say. And probably should, given this land's teeming with danger. The primary reason I'm here is to study this region's Paradox Pokemon, the ones that are ancient and futuristic impossibilities. Or as the locals call them-and I hope I'm pronouncing these correctly-the Mip'Tcina and Vresy''A’ru Rarii. Given the circumstances surrounding why these pokemon are appearing in Paldea-which are very much classified-the League was quite interested to hear they are considered native species in an entirely different region. They're powerful critters though, so only the best of the best really have a chance of studying them and getting out relatively unscathed if it comes to a battle. Hence why my partners and I are here. We have a fair amount of experience with fighting these kinds of critters, and stand a good chance of coming out on top against all but the most powerful ones."
Seddi will look at everyone assembled one more time, a curious look lingering briefly on Bernhard, Akamu, and Ianai before he continues.
"There's one other matter though. Not exactly much of a secret for those of us here either. The fate of Sutalör is hanging in the balance if that voice was to be believed. And that just so happens to be the other reason I'm here. I wasn't called the Warding Soul for no reason. My partners and I are here to ward off calamity in the near future, whatever it may turn out to be. Unfortunately, that's about all I know because my sources won't tell me any more than 'calamity is imminent if nothing is done'. Until I find out more, I'm essentially just a researcher, and stirring the pot for no reason is something I'd rather avoid. If we're all factors in determining the region's fate though, I'm not going to turn my nose up at a potential collaboration on this."
Seddi's not entirely certain how the others might react to that claim. Nor is he expecting all of them to 'collaborate' with him on it. The mage in particular seems like they might be a hard sell, given their general demeanor so far. He's definitely interested in seeing how everyone reacts though, especially so with Bernhard and Ianai.
The entire time Seddi is speaking, his Ceruledge is simply standing next to him stoicly, staring at everyone with narrowed, wary eyes. Not even Munchlax coughing up garbage seems to faze them.
Your pronunciation earns you a wrinkled nose from what you presume to be the Native woman, but she does give you a nod as you finish speaking.
"Yes, that is how you say the Proper Names of The Primal Ancients and The Star Servants. Your accent is atrocious, however. They have existed in The Lands of Lepia ages untold, living alongside and serving our Grand Ancestors before they...vanished and The Calamities re-shaped everything. I find it strange that Your People consider Them impossibilities - Paradoxes - when they have always existed here, living and thriving like every other being. Stranger Pokemon exist or have Been Made by you Vin'dacc and your Science Sorcerers - Porygon, Golurks, Claydolls, Genesect, Ditto and Clones - and Old Creatures still persist - Abyss Fish, Fossils Made Stone Flesh, Dragons, Fae, Spirits. Why does your People feel the need to Name your Primal Ancients and Star Servants differently?"
Ianai studies you for a time, her striking blue eyes seemingly boring into you as they swept up and down, before pointing at two particular Pokeballs of yours - Leaves' B.Ball and Sand Crawler's.
"Reveal to me your Star Servant and Ancient Primal, and let me be Judge Seer of You and Them. What I Shall Learn, What I Shall See...Together with Your Word will Decide if I Walk with you, or if our Paths remain Seperate."
If you say the Leaves is currently 'Out of Action' due to getting knocked senseless by the Astral Expanse, they offer a bag of fragrant minerals, retrieved from....somewhere in their robes.
"Use this. Place your Pokeball within, and they shall Rouse from their Contact with the Cosmos and its Gods. Tell them not to Look Too Deeply in such things, until They Ready Their SOULs . Some things are not meant for us Mortals unless we are Prepared."
Aaron, for the moment, remains silent, looking only to his apprentice and seeing what they think of all this drama and talk of future perils.
EDIT: When they go and say that they hang their head for a moment before raising it back with a fond chuckle and wistful sigh.
"Welp, guess we're committed to more excitement than Butterfrees hopped up on Honey. *Shakes head* Never thought I'd be directly involved in a classic heroic tale in the making...but I don't find it disappointing. If nothing else this will put my names in the history books for sure, heh heh!"
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
