(Fair enough... I should probably begin by introducing myself. The humans call me Syliva, though I prefer [UNTRANSLATABLE].)

If the Murkrow gives a personal identifier, Sylvia will use it. However, I expect a less open response...
If given a name: "Esp! Espeon." (Nice to meet you, [name]!)

Then, the real question:
"Eon... Espy Espeon, espeon esp, esp esp Espeon?"
(The humans are all in an uproar... everything in one of their healing centers disappeared. You seem observant - did you happen to notice anything out of the ordinary?)

The Murkrow tilts its head at your greeting, but doesn't speak up. Rare is it for a Wild Pokemon to have a Name of any sort - that is more the domain of Humanity and all they bequeth one.

Your question, however, causes them to visibly shy away, ducking their head and looking away.

Translation: "....Yes, very much yes. Do not want to speak of it, no no. Invite trouble and Misfortune, it shall! Beware, beware, this be the work of a Big Predator! Involve yourself such, such you put yourself at peril!!"

The bejeweled bird gives you a reprouchful glance as they finish, as if daring them to inquire further and incur their wrath....

Sylvia finds it odd that a city 'mon would be so afraid - most of the ones she's interacted with seemed (or at least acted) more jaded than that. Based on the Murkrow's abundant adornments, it doesn't seem like they're young or new to the city - so the only conclusion Sylvia can draw is that this was *really* serious. Big Predator...

"...esp... Espeon. Peon, esp esp - Espeon? Esp eon?"
(...ah... Thank you very much. I'm sorry to have stressed you so - perhaps I can get you something? A berry, or a trinket?)

Sylvia's goal here is to calm the Murkrow down a bit, maybe let them warm up to her. They're the only real lead she's got, given the mystery of the footprints, so holding on to them seems a good idea... that, and she really hates to see them stressed out. Perhaps after a time, they'll be willing to tell - and maybe she can even convince them to join her, either for this mystery or for longer? We'll have to see.

Sylvia would have offered a one-on-one battle as an option as well, but something tells her she's not ready for that just yet...
