You do see someone odd, however - what appears to be a long, wild haired haired professor type at the front desk, staring down a very nervous looking clerk.

"What. Do. You. Mean. By. That?"
"M-mam, it..it is something I can't - !"
"Explain. Now."

“Um-“ begins Randy, with no confidence.
“…esp. Espeon.”
Randy gives Sylvia a bit of an exasperated look, then clears his throat. “Excuse me!”

Presumably the clerk and the Professor turn towards him, at which point he’ll go back to stuttering.

The wild looking researcher pauses at that and, now that you notice, loosen their grip on the front desk with a notable 'SNAP!' coming from the wood as she did so. Slowly, she turns around, much to the relief of the attendant, and stares down your poor beleaguered aide with crossed arms and a blank but menacing expression.

"What?"

As Randy was sweating up a new storm, you begin to to feel that something was off about this person. Or rather, you couldn't feel anything at all coming from them. Like, nothing. It was akin to interacting with a Dark Type, a particularly powerful Psychic, Fairy, or sufficiently old and/or talented regular Mon or Pseudo, or one of those rare Mons that have atypical thought and emotion patterns. That is decidedly Strange.
