[Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands

He would indeed have the time to treat Iron Leaves, though you note she's a bit touch shy about as you apply the Full Heal. From your Bond with her, you sense she's unused to others actually taking care of her like that. Considering her immense Healing capability and innate regeneration factor, this isn't that much of a surprise now that you think about it.  You can also tell she's more quiet than usual - whether that be from thinking about things or from wearing herself early for your shake is up in the air.

As for the Strength Sap Velzuna volunteers, surprisingly. Then you seem him studying and sizing up your hydroponic horsy and realize he's using this opportunity to 'read up' on another 'rival of the blade' and it all clicks into place. Oh you battle and slice hungry fishy...

Once you wrapped things up with Fernnigan and Oz - and were subsequently shooed out of the medical area by Dr. Peace once he came back to check on things - you go over and see if Dodger could join you to kick back and unwind at The Afterlife. Unfortunately that would not be the case, as he decided to pull in some 'double duty' to help get this mess sorted out ASAP , get everyone were they needs to be, and give the police force some much needed relief and moral boost (whenever he isn't laying into them for bad behavior, that is).

"Sorry 'bout that, mate, but it wouldn't be very dandy of me to leave things as they are. *Smiles* Don't let it put a damper on your spirits, though - here."

He hands you a card with what you later learn to be one of his membership card for the Afterlife's more high bar cliental, giving you a finger gun afterwards.

"Use this to by yourself a real good drink on me, and perhaps some other service that neon tech shin-dig offers. *Shrugs* I'd recommend using it to track down some leads on the helpers you want for our other big ol' disaster waiting in the wings or scrounge out some Bounty Hunter work or Trainer Requests to put some Poke in your pocket and rep on your name to make your life smooth as me, heh. You do you, though. And remember, have fun! Just 'cause the city is going to a Beliaddon's Inferno doesn't mean you got to overstress about it - you did what you could today, and I'd say its time for you to take a nice slice of comfort pie and party wine as your reward. Now go on and have a groovy time!"

After that he gives you the deets on where the night club/dive is and shoos you off with a grin and fond wave farewell before he gets right back to work. In a way he reminds you of a certain friend of yours - always eager, and always willing to put in the extra work to help.

You and everyone else meet up at the Afterlife - you got there last, but everyone else was held up outside by the Bouncer Ursaring and what looked to be his Bearartic groupie (who was shooting him moony eyes he was trying his best to ignore) until you flashed the membership card and explained things - and in everyone was. Things were just as wild and punk as usual here, though a few activities and the general low level shadiness and mercenary air this place had might raise an eyebrow to your Ace Trainer sensibilities. The music was different this time, however - Dark Disco

"Oi, you there!"

You turn towards the bar, and behind it see a punk-ish middle aged woman wearing rockerboy get up with a mohawk that was somehow glowing neon pink giving you a mildly reproachful look.

"Who invited you here? A 'Dea Day cowboy, a Sinnish monk and Bug boy, and a true blue Lola? *Shakes head* If this is some kind of set up for some joke, I kindly ask you all to fuck off with that. Now start talking, 'fore I get the Bears to maul 'n haul your asses out of here."

Once you explain things (I'll leave that to you to RP out, mates!), you're left alone with a huff, free to mingle and party as you please. You also are told about the Weekly Special Drinks, of which the details are down below.

Upon inquiring, you get the following choices of Special Drinks to Choose From (All Cost $5000 Poke [Except ONE Drink...], can't stack with themselves but can with the others; Dodger is paying for your First Drink, but no other!) :

Fairy King's Retort - A Special Coffee mixer with High Quality Moo-Moo Deluxe Cream and Sweet Colber and Roseli Berry Liquor. "Make you feel as if you're the Fairy King Himself, from Sweet Beginning to a Bitter End!" While Under Effects - + 1 DEX and INS, + 2 Lore, + 2 Empathy and Much Better Friendship Rolls and Bonding for 4 Encounters ; Hangover Effect: Social Rolls Worsened, Become 'Frosty' (Emotionally deaded, Crueler Decisions Enforced) Bonding Greatly Hindered for 4 Encounters; and even better version of this Drink can be bought for $10k with Extra Effects, and  Dodger WILL buy this for you, but in exchange you forfeit any Rewards you could get from the Battle with him Tomorrow 

Black Flame Kumbaya - A Bulk and Pinap Berry cocktail (your choice of mixer) that has Fire and Dark Gem dust sprinkled in before it's set alight! "Black Flames that's warm you up and make you cozy, casting all doubts into the abyss!" + 1 SPE and VIT, + 2 to Performance  and Channel (Shared with Mons), Better Diplomacy and Repair (Any) Rolls for 2 - 4 Encounters; Hangover Effect: One Forced Angry Encounter and - 2 INS and Alert, Fire and Ghost Pokemon will mess with you for 2-4 Encounters

Dread Dead Blaster - She won't tell you what in it, but the sheer strong stench of alcohol and Ghostly/Psychic energy tells you it's hella potent. "I drink that'll make you feel like a King of Death, like ol' dusty Dread Dead and take you places, before and after the hangover, heh!" Positive Effects: + 1 Success to All Rolls (PC and Mons), and Double Successes of All Rolls Made by PC and their Pokemon for 2 Encounters, better Fortune Rolls! ; Hangover Effect: Become Blackout Drunk for those same 2 Encounters, and suffer - 1 Success (All) , 1/2 Successes , and Worse Fortune Rolls for 1 Encounter afterwards.

Law and Order Shakedown - A single-malt whisky made in Galar, made from Moon Blessed Peat Block important from Sinnoh, served with Ground Gem Infused Nevermelt Ice Globe. "Want something that makes you feel like the beat cop and general Law and Order 'bout to ruin a whole Team's day? Bottoms up then!" Positve Effect: Gain Justified (Base Pokerole Ability) for you and all your Pokemon, Doing Police/Bounty Hunter Type Work is Improved, Better Investigation and Training Rolls for 2-4 Encounters; Hangover: Gain Truant for you and your Pokemon in Battles and Social Interactions , become a Grizzled and Confused Detective force to take on at least one really odd Case for 2-4 Encounters.

Queedom's Uncle Robert - A spin on the Aunt Roberta mixed drink recipe made with Vespiqueen Honey and what she claims is a few drops of Beliaddon blood, giving you a smoky blood ruby red drink that literally gives off steam and ominous vibes... " Looking for a killer drink, a real devil's brew? Have a sip of Queendom Killer's favorite drink!" Positive Effect: For 1 Non-Super Boss or PD Encounter (Your Choice on the Day the Drink is Drunk), everything shall go your way; in a Super Boss or PD Encounter you and your Pokemon ignore their PDs and your Moves/Tactics are More Effective against them and have a 3D6 Chance to Flinch; Negative Effect: For 2 Non-Super Boss or PD Encounter, the world will be your enemy (Random Day(s) ); in Super Boss and PD Encounters you have severe disadvantage against them.

Redoer's Remorse - A bloody marry styled drink, made with a Tamato and Cherry  Berry juice slurry and served with a spring of Whimsicott grown celery. "Something to take you back to better times and try to clear away nasty hangovers, just like Shiva the Redoer..." Positive Effect: Relieve the Best Moment of your Life (Special Encounter, ???), Much Bettering Crafting and Nature Rolls for 1 Encounter; Negative Effect: Relive the Worst Moment of your Life (Special Encounter, ???), You will be Unable to Catch Pokemon or Do Pokemon Battles for 1 Encounter

Savior's Redoubt - Cinamon spiced Chople Berry Stellar Rum and fortified Vanilla Payapa flavored Mega Coke, served in Metal Coat made glass. "A drink to honor the fellow that put Sutalor on the map and won it all, Savoir and Acrowls be Praised, heh ha!"  Positive Effect: + 1 to ALL (Attributes, Skills, Specialties, Move Power, Chance Effects, etc.) , Better Encounters for 1 Day; Negative Effect: - 1 to ALL, Worse Encounters for 1 Day. Drink costs $10k Poke - Dodger WILL buy this for you, but in exchange you forfeit any Rewards you could get from the Battle with him Tomorrow) . You also get to keep the Metal Coat Cup (Acts like the Held Item version, makes Steel Pokemon happier when drinking from it) too.

Seddi's a little disappointed that Dodger won't be joining them, but he gets it.  Somebody's gotta keep the coppers straight.

Nothing more to add here besides making sure Dodger and the cops are updated on the situation with Fernnigan and what Akamu's reported so far.  "Don't think it should take priority over this mess, but it's still concernin'.  I know I'm gonna be keepin' an eye out, even if only for my own safety."

The bartender eying him and the rest of their merry little band as if they're the start of a bar joke gets a chuckle out of Seddi as he pulls out the member ship card and sits at the bar.  "Been workin' with Dodger recently.  He's a little tied up with the business that happened earlier today and couldn't make it tonight, so he's lettin' me borrow this.  Said I could bring some friends along too.  Think we all need a break after that madness.  He also told me I might be able to find some information here too.  Lookin' for some pokemon that know particular kinds of moves."

After looking over the drinks, Seddi will settle on ordering a Fairy King's Retort.  For some reason, he's got a good feeling about that drink...plus, he's got a perfectly good freshly caught pokemon that he still needs to do a little bonding with!

Darren tells Aaron that he'll be meeting with some of the others at a place called Afterlife (no need to worry his mentor!) At the club he starts with some water and presumably after a bit of jeering from other patrons orders the Dread Dead Blaster. Consequences be darned, he doesn't take too well to that.

The jeering getting Darren to change what kind of beverage he's ordering does not go unnoticed by Seddi.  He holds a hand out to get Darren to pause that order.  Even just looking at the menu, Seddi can see that drink is potent stuff.  "Hold on there pardner.  Don't do anythin' rash just yet."

Seddi will sternly look over at one of the jeerers (provided they're a patron and not the bartender).  "Oi.  Let my pardner order what he wants to order in peace.  Or you'll need to deal with me and the Pseudo Legendary I have on hand."

And if they think he's bluffing that he has a Pseudo, Seddi will just casually let Goodra slip out of his pokeball.  "Last warnin'.  Go back to mindin' your own business, or we're gonna be takin' this to that battlefield over yonder if you insist on continuin'.  Trust me, this ain't a Goodra y'all are gonna want to mess with."

He'll turn back to Darren.  "Don't forget we've got a meetin' with the Professor tomorrow.  Try not to end up hungover if you can avoid it.  If you really are goin' to order somethin' stronger, I would recommend orderin' somethin' else.  Or take one of the drinks Vernon's sharin'.  I, for one, don't advise lookin' a gift horse in the mouth."

Says the guy who was loaned a membership card, though the advice should still be sound.

Vernon accepts the free drinks and distributes them evenly among the party, and takes the opportunity to get updates. "So what's the current status on all those quests you all went running off to do? How about everyone says their favorite little thing that happened today! Mine was Surfing with Pwee, I think I might be a little impressionable because I'm totally starting to get into surf culture now."

Akamu's Pokemons' actions immediately catch his attention. He'd put down the backpack and ask the derg if she wanted to return to her ball for the time being. If she doesn't he would walk towards the counter and ask if they had earplugs, clarifying that they weren't for him.

The groovy creature will have his item taken for now and is then let loose on the dance floor to cause havoc. ''Make sure to watch out though. Wouldn't want to poke anyone just trying to enjoy themselves. Let me know if anything goes wrong and have fun!''

Turning back to the group it was time for Vernon's inquiry. ''Witnessing the true potential of a pseudo, it is truely a sight to behold. My little lady is still resting from her incredible feats during the bust today. I'll be happy to tell the full story, after all it leads into what I wanted to talk about with Seddi quite well. On that note we can begin at any time, I do have some curious stuff to show off.''

Seddi leans on the counter as he continues glancing around the bar, watching for potential trouble as he makes casual conversation.  "I definitely want to hear the full story.  You were asked to tackle a few ruffians if I remember rightly.  From what I've gathered, those hooligans have been causing a lot of trouble lately.  Sounded like you took some of my advice in dealing with them, but how'd it go?  I can't imagine this group is very honorable, given what I've heard about them so far."

As for Vernon's inquiries, Seddi frowns at first.  "'Fraid my little 'side quest' isn't over yet.  Seems what happened is likely bigger than what anyone was expectin'.  I need to talk with Bernhard about it tomorrow."  Favorite thing that happened today though?  "Met a nice fellow and an Espeon while I was on the job.  The Espeon was even telepathic to boot, if you can believe that.  Gave me a hand, and just about saved the investigation from bein' a flop. Would have probably taken a lot longer to reach the conclusions we did if they hadn't been around to help."
