The old man simply nodded and sighed, hanging his head as he took the contract. Nothing more need be said - he won't bother trying to pretty things up or say meaningless platitudes. He knows that he and his lot are not handling things the best - but this is simply the best they could do right now.
When the Needs are Great, no Cost is too high, but heavy is the head that bears the crown of Authority - a lesson to take to heart, considering your own aspirations.

At The Survival Center...
@Redstone , @Iron
The guide lights up at the mention of The Rodger Dodger, excitedly nodding her head!
"Yes, we do! He's one of the best Independents that visits us, if not THE best! Every time he stops by, any of the real tough jobs or thorny problems are done so fast it'd make a Inflagetah blush! *Swoons* He's so handsome too....and a real charmer! Everyone always has a good time when The Dandy Man is around, Eh he he ~ !"
Well, looks like he has a strong following with this group - and probably any other Bounty Hunter or Mercenary Group, considering his status...
If Goodra is out, the guide girl is so bold as to ask them to carry her on their shoulder as they Tour, which the lovable and most huggable Dragon is more than delighted to comply with, hoisting her up like no biggie. She lets out her own cheer as she steadies herself before motioning over to the Fishing Ponds.
"Right! If you don't have anymore Questions, let's begin our Tour!!!"
The First Floor is mostly akin to a Pokemon World version of a Military Goods Store mixed with a Bass Pro Shop - it has just about everything you could ever want or need to rough and Tough it out in the Wilds! However, most of the PCs already have kitted out to Survive in the Wilds, so I don't imagine they'd be interested in buying anything - if you have something special you're looking for, however, the Guide will do her best to find it!
As for the Fishing portion of the Tour, she leads you over to a big indoor pond, complete with an artificial stream that flows into and out of it, chock full of plants, logs, and rocks! You could see a few Bugs and Birds nested about the place, but they seem uninterested in interacting with you - the guide explains they are there more for security and as a temp home for some recent and nicer rescues.
Now, onto the Fishing Items Roll!
Vernon: Gets + 1 Rarity Value on the D20, since he's already fished here before and has Pwee subtly guiding him to grab any goodies, since this was their former home.
Type: (1) Derp , Rarity: (3) + 1 = Omph
You fish up a badly smashed up Wide Lens - completely unrepairable and useless, but perhaps it could be used to make something else. Burbling laughter seemed to echo at your catch - de ja vu, da ja vu... Pwee, if out, gives you an affronted look. Turtwig simply sighs....
Akamu: Since you already have 2 Water Mons, I'll just have them search for an Item too with their own deluxe Rod! They + 1 of the Type of Item they get, and it won't be Trash by default unless you Roll a 1 on the D20!
Type: (4) + 1 = 5! That's something good! , Rarity: (19) REALLY good!
You fish up a Sparkling Prism Scale! Sells for about $3000 Poke, can be used to Evolve a Feebas into a Milotic that Sparkles (Not Shiny) when Traded, or can be used in Crafting to make a Beautiful Item out of it! When Held, 2D6 to ignore Chance Effects and Reflect them back on Target.
Seddi: More or less no modifiers for him - he caught Velzuna himself, but he's no much of a fisher in general and is more focused on exploring the land than Water
Type: (4) Not bad! , Rarity: (15) Not bad at all!
You end up reeling in a bag of High Quality Water Rations (3x Units) ! Any Water Types that eat these rations once per day gain 1.5 XP in 2 Encounters they participate in on the next day (Give it as Dinner -> 2 Encounters the next Day for more XP!) ! Also boosts Happiness of Water Pokemon that eat it too, though by how much varies.
Once that was done and you got your goodies - and anything else from the 1st Floor, the Guide gives you a decision - 2nd Floor (Offices and Bounty Hunter/Explorer 'Office'/Hangout, Basement (Big Hardware), or 4th Floor (The Holding Facility and Rescue Area). Which grabs your fan?
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
