With that, unless I'm forgetting something, Darren's encounter is (almost) done
as he's leaving the room, he presumably bumps into Oz (@Spiritmon) as she is talking about adopting Dite.

"Oh, fancy seeing you here." Darren thinks for a bit, not feeling super empathetic about her plight, but he decides to help anyways. "If possible, I'll adopt, Dite was it, for the lady here." to Oz: "For a favor later, battle or your skills, your choice"

After the adoption, Darren gently passes Dite to Oz.

Oz grab the Pokeball with Dite inside and look at Darren. "Thank you Darren! Trully!" Oz give Darren a big hug. "I promise to battle you or help with something else my friend. You did me a big favor! So I help in whatever you need friend!"
