Vernon hands the Wide Lens over without a thought.

You can see an emotion in his eyes when he spots the Prism Scale - not a covetousness, though. "Ah, that brings back memories. We used to find Feebas on the farm back home, just every now and then, when they'd swarm in the irrigation ditches."


For vehicles:
"How many people can fit in one vehicle? Is there something Wilds-capable that can handle a whole party on one set of wheels? Can they outspeed dangerous Pokemon? Can they withstand a first attack?"

For firearms: 
"All I'd like to know about is the kind of firearms that would have a chance against unusually powerful Pokemon. Anything useful in defense against Pseudos or stronger?"

Seddi looks a little confused at first when Vernon just gives him the Broken Wide Lens, but then shrugs and puts the item in his bag.  He'd only intended to tell Vernon that it was probably worth keeping ahold of the item.  If Vernon doesn't want it though, who is he to object?

"*Bashfu1* ...Prices are not cheap, though - bare minimum you can spend on transportation here is about $10000, and that's if you get the most bare bones option, and that is NOT what I wou1d recommend. Why? *Frowns* 'Cause, franx1y, it'd be p1ain stupid to cheap out on this. *Sighs* Not that many Tourists be1ieve me or that they can do 'fine' out in the wi1ds with on1y their Mons and grit, but a11 the missing persons reports and severe Wounds says it a11 - the Wi1ds of Suta1or are dangerous. Extreme1y so - you Foreigners have are Fortunate to have most1y Tame Wi1ds, or your worst parts secu1ded from the rest. Here? It's b1eeding EVERYWHERE, even creeping into our Sett1ements from time to time! Why I heard that a F1utter Mane was spotted by some beyond Fortunate sou1 - most peop1e don't get off so easy catching their attention. At a11. 

"*Huffs* Point is, Suta1or is not for softees or those that can't afford the hardship it gives away as if they're party favors. The Wi1ds ho1ds bounties and treasures with no equa1 to anywhere e1se in the Wor1d....but so too are its threats. They don't ca11 our Region 'Insane' or 'A Death Wor1d' for no reason, those wusses.

"*Sighs* Anyway, if you want to get between any of the Sett1ements in Suta1or safe and fast as you can - and trust me, you do un1ess you are prepared for weex 1ong trecxs between p1aces - then you HAVE to get some form of Transportation. Ah, and if you're wondering about F1ying or Te1eporting, that stuff ain't happening un1ess you have SUPER powerfu1 Mons. The distances between cities and towns are so vast, and the 1and so charged with mystica1 mumbo xumbo, that most Te1eporters are SO1 or run the possib1ity of fragging themse1ves doing 1ong hops, whi1e F1ying....

The guide grimaces. "...1et's say that the atmosphere and air are home to some right nasty critters that don't p1ay so nice1y to intruders. Un1ess your F1yer can trave1 at sub-sonic speeds or is stronger than a roided out Gyarados, don't do more than short 1ow atmosphere f1ights. Trust me on this. 

"We do have a Te1eport Networx estab1ished - big o1' thanxs to the Scims for he1ping with THAT! - but it's hiddeous1y expensive in terms of Cost and Energy it guzz1es down. It's pretty much in the proto-type stages right now, and is on1y used by the super wea1thy Riss - Tourists , by META or AEGIS Agents needing fast ro11 outs, or for rapid transportation of materia1s for those that can afford it. You guys don't appear SUPER rich, so I can't recommend that way of trave1ing."

The woman *C1aps her Hands* , a11 smi1es once more!

"Now, are any of you interested in seeing what we have to see for Transportation and Firearms, or wou1d you prefer to save that for another time?"

Huh.  Word seems to get around fast.  Either someone else also saw Vernon and that Flutter Mane last night, or they were also waylaid by the crafty creature.  Seddi's gonna need to keep tabs on this...

So many different ways to not travel around Sutalör...noted.  Bit of a shame that a standard Teleport wouldn't work between major landmarks here though...

Vehicles:

“That depends on the kind you want, and what tech they have. Smallest are our one person cycles, the two man cycles or Forestress Buggies, then 4-Man Scizor Jeeps and Escavaler Convoys, and lastly Durant Class All Terrain Transports! And those are only the standard models - we got more specific designs for speed , defense, or pure firepower. All the vehicles themselves can survive a heck of a lot of abuse, with the best dapple of tanking Hyper Beams without chipping the paint! *Winces* Though if you go with more budget options that protection is more focused on the vehicle itself, if you catch my drift. Same applies to cycles, but they make up for it with speed and mobility - these are the ones to avoid about anything if you can afford to spare on protection. Lastly, our more advanced models of vehicles have Pocket Room Tech - more space on the inside than out! Better ones could fit a whole household, gym, and mini Center! SUPER expensive, but between all they offer and the immense amount of protection they have their is no safer option to travel Sutalor!”

Super Guns:

“*Sharply Raised Brows* Why in the world…? You don’t fight those sorts of critter unless you have a damn good team and/or Military Grade Hardware. You hide, you run, or you do every you can to get it to spare ya - or only take you, if all else fails. Avoidance is a stronger deterrent than any fire arm or Mon - the powerful monsters tend to make themselves KNOWN in an area. Diplomacy could work too, if you are someone like Queendim Killer or Shiva the Redoer, though I don’t recommend it unless you can afford to.

“*Sighs* …We do have some guns that could put up a decent fight against Pseudos, if you truly insist. Mostly Shotguns and Single Shot Rifles, but we do have an Beedrill Uzi and Broken Butterfree Magnum in stock we managed to snag from so professional mercenaries looking to trade up. None of them are cheap, and the kind of Ammo you need to do more than diddly is just as pricey or hard to make - or illegal outside of Military use, like Uranium Rounds or Dire Bio Buckshot. Don’t make those things, or at least don’t do it anywhere near a settlement. Or if it’s used to saving and defending lives - eyes go Flash blind if it’s for a good cause, having stuff you really shouldn’t.”

Bigger on the inside, huh?  "I take it Dodger likely got his vehicle from here?  Certainly big enough on the inside to make me wonder how he fits all that furniture in there."


As for the employee's comments on the guns and 'turning a blind eye'...

"So theoretically, if someone needed a weapon to, say, help save Bayahama, you could sell them something that would help do just that.  Not that I need a weapon like that while I've got my friendo Goodra here!  Could probably fight off all but the most powerful or mystical critters basically all on his own!"

Seddi might be talkin' a little big about Goodra there, but he's also trying to keep any commentary he has on the more serious topics less obvious to a casual listener.

As for getting a closer look, Seddi would be interested in looking at the vehicles a little more closely.  He's probably going to need some reliable transport for when he really gets his research going.

The mention of the Dandy Man has the guide sigh dreamily again, though she does snap out of it soon to shake her head.

"Oh no, that's a custom model build in a collaboration between the Acceleration Workshop and Uxie Corp! Heard it cost a fortune for him to get 'The Star Dragster' made to his liking, and that it had a LOT of experimental tech put into it, but the results speak for themselves!"

Her eyebrows dart up at your somewhat subtle questioning, but a little playful twirl and jiggle of delight from your Gooey drake soon has her laughing.

"Hahaha! Goodra, stop, 'fore I get dizzy! *Looks at you with a smile* Oh, and maybe? Usually that sort of thing is more along the lines of 'better to ask forgiveness than permission' , were some bloke gets caught with conraband or stuff without the proper clearances, but they're helpful enough to put up with that if it doesn't become a BIG problem. Outright asking is Strange, since that can land someone in big trouble if they don't have a good reason to be making such lofty requests. Still, there is precedent for someone asking for a Soldier's Assault Rifle to clean out some dangerous feral sheep Mons and getting it without much fuss, so if the reason for what you asking for is like that then yeah, I can see the law being Lax."
