“Hope, huh?” Oz smiled at those words. Something she thought she had lost a long time ago, but it apparently still burns within her. She didn’t answer Bern's remark, but by her body language, it can be deduced she appreciated those kind words.
Oz thought about Bern’s words for a few seconds, absorbing everything he said. He is clearly not comfortable with that topic, as she imagined. She looks away for a few seconds, and then after a while, she speaks once again. “My grandfather used to raise Ghost and dark types. And my grandmother raised Fairy-types. I helped both of them to take care of Pokemon of BOTH of those types. Complete opposite of each other, and yet so similar. Paradoxal.”
“Like the human heart. I probably had lived a shorter life in comparison to yours Mr Samsara, but…I dare to say I lived long enough and was able to see a lot of humanity…And I see humanity's wretched side. How much humans can be greed, violents, hateful and discriminated against others….But at the same time also capable of bravery, kindness, peace, love and empathetic towards others.”
“Humans are paradoxal beings. Capable of the most hideous acts of evil…But also the greatest acts of kindness and love.”
Oz holds Bernard's hand. “Mr Samsara, my words have no intention to judge the Scimitars, nor you. Good and evil always existed in the human heart, even more the existence of Magi. Humanity always tries to oppress others before magic. Both with Pokemon, magic or any other methods.”
“You are kind and a gentle person Mr Samsara, and I can see that now. You listen to the words of a person you barely know, and help me when I fall into despair. And helped a family to surpass a curse. You are an amazing person Mr Samsara.”
She then looked at the horizon. “I guess…this is what I try to achieve. Be kind and good to other people…Maybe then that way, my sister will feel okay, she knowing I okay.”
