With how brutal the Wild Lands are said to be, items with that kind of power are definitely attractive for the purposes of survival. Nothing quite like bending the rules to give yourself an advantage in fights that would be otherwise much harder, eh? If you aren't required to play by any rules, any advantage you can get is fair game! Something like that would definitely be of some interest to Seddi by virtue of his own personal battle style and philosophies.
Having to pick one and only one move to use is of course a major downside (makes you predictable even if it is powerful). Not to mention the fact that it's an item, and is thus subject to all the various ways they can be manipulated, stolen, or removed/destroyed.
