Looking a bit more closely at the info packet you got on it, you find it'll accept Type Gems to get a quick burst of power if passive/active generation from its hydro/mist Drive is not sufficient. Also can let it siphon electricity off the grind, though it is very reluctant to do so unless 'starved' or desperate for power.
