In hindsight, might need to get something that more directly protects Seddi from Confusion at some point, cuz a 3d6 - 1 success check for that is yikes.  Any pain at all and he's almost guaranteed to fail those checks.

Usually Iron Leaves serves as good enough (great, even) Mental Defense for Seddi, but if she's taken out of action or is forced to deal with other matters....well, you just saw what happens. Hmm....you're in the city to go hunting for Status protecting Items and equipment, though getting something good that doesn't take up an Item slot or have some sort of pesky caveat to its use is going to be hard and/or expensive to get. Alternatively, I could envision a Surprise! for Rabsca that confers Passive Confusion protection to itself and X number of Targets in and out of their Ball, but that in of itself is a pricey path XPwise with or without Drawbacks to it. 

You could also get in the habit of having him Hold Persim Berries, but that comes with its own set of drawbacks.
