Ahm - evening, everyone. Or morning. Whenever you do read this.

I, ah- I have to leave.

I'm struggling with screen addictions again, and it's bad. I mean, it's always been bad, but- I just finished my first year of college, and I'm gonna be frank - please excuse my language, here - it fucking sucked. I made it suck. Between Youtube, Pokemon Go, and a number of other vices - yes, including these forums, I've checked them far more than is healthy since we picked up again - I made no strong friends, went to no social events, procrastinated the sh*t out of all my work, and several other failings besides, and I feel absolutely terrible about it.

I've had and am having conversations with my parents and my therapist, and... it seems the best action is going to be a restart. A full reset. Completely disengaging myself from everything internet and returning only on an absolutely need-based basis until I can prove myself able to handle it.
(Will I be able to prove that? I don't f*cking know. I'm not optimistic. I don't exactly have a good track record here.)

What that means is, leaving here. Leaving you all. Not in the Sylvia-is-still-a-background-character-for-an-eventual-return way, as it was last - I need to, fully, leave. I need to tell myself that I'm never coming back, and I need to believe it.


This- this is very hard to write. Very hard. I want to thank you - all of you, very very much - for accommodating me. I want you to know that you've done nothing wrong, nothing at all, and quite to the contrary. It has been an absolute joy to write with all of you, and to get to know you as much as an internet forum allows.
