For a good hot minute or so Bern responds nothing, there's only silence as he just rots there in self-pity. It makes him look like a broken man and at least ten years older. He's missing his home - the Mageocracy - his personal alchemy lab and his private quarters, aaand the comfort of his own bed where he can completely bury himself beneath the covers and pretend that he's not there and not available (happened a few times already). His life has ALWAYS been eventful, but rarely has it been that eventful.

Seddi's consolation helped ease the pain a bit, it's much appreciated indeed, even if Berhard does not show it nor directly respond to it. 

He's grateful for the change of topic, aka the topic of the timeskip! And immediately jumps to it: "You met...someone who is, or has been, affected by it even MORE than we are, you are saying? Their fate changed entirerly...? How very peculiar and curious... Please elaborate."

"If I might allow to ask, given how badly dear Muse reacted to that...skip, how did your own most unique and special partner take that skip? If what- or whoever caused it is able to knock down such mighty Pokemon like my Muse or your Leaves, it must have powers and skills much beyond our imagination. How WISE it is to look into that matter I naturally do not know, but my interest in finding answers to the 'how' and 'why' of the skip is as great as yours. If it is no trouble for you, please do keep me in the books shall you find out more - I would do it myself as well, if I weren't that...busy already." He lets out another deep sigh.

"Right... Furthermore, Muse had THIS at herself upon me waking up from that timeskip" Berhard teaches into a pocket of his Scimitar robe, pulls out the enigmatic Card with a single silver star on it, and places it in front of Seddi onto the table. "Have you ever seen something...similar before?"

"At the current moment, I think it'd be better if you talked to them yourself.  They said they've met ya previously, but their phone got lost or destroyed somehow, so they gave me their new number to give to you.  Don't have much reason to distrust that, given Myra was accompanying them.  They mentioned they needed to talk to ya about your newest partner rather urgently."

Seddi doesn't really want to be playing coy with the details, but he's not taking any chances with Ralice being the middleman!  Middlerat?  Middlegirl?  Hmmmm....anyways...maybe Bernhard will catch the subtle hint that Seddi is skipping on the details on purpose for some reason. Maybe not. For now, moving on...

As for how Leaves faired, Seddi shakes his head.  "Worse than Muse I'm guessin'.  Was unconscious all day yesterday, and hasn't been able to speak today without doin' literal psychic damage to herself.  Hopin' that migraine clears up tomorrow, though I have an experimental remedy handy if it does not."

And the card?  Well, assuming a spooky, magical apparition of the card suddenly appears for him to look at...well, this probably needs some GM input (@Lord Windos), as I doubt it's quite like the star logos that Seddi is familiar with back home.  If it is though, that'd be quite the surprise...

After looking at the card, though, Seddi sees a good opportunity to further something else he's been wanting to ask.  "Strange card, that's for sure.  Mind if I ask Muse some questions?"
