Soul Sacrifice - Hope and Future on the Same Page (Instrumental)
Oz could feel it…the ancient power she years not used. The second time in her new life, she called upon that power. She felt…alive. More alive than she was in years.
When she fell to the ground, she felt extremely exhausted. Almost like a little bird who was learning again to fly, and fall from grace.
In a way, it's exactly that.
With Seddi words and Fortuna helping her, Oz little by little returns to reality. She looks at everyone's faces, seeing each one of them and trying to analyze their faces.
Oz tries to stand up, even to the point of refusing Seddi hand in case he does offer it. “...There is nothing impressive about this.” Oz sit down, looking at her own hands with sadness…but almost hatred of herself. “...Many people when they see my people's display of power a few things come to mind: Wonder. Marvelous. Jealousy. Ambition. And when my people see their reactions, they usually go like this: Pride. Wisdom. Authority. Guidance. A blessing.”
“This power only brought a few things only, and these things only: Sacrifice. Pain. Suffering. A duty that I never wanted. Training to the point of almost falling unconscious. Anguish. Loneliness.” Oz looks at her side. “... Nightmares…And a Curse.”
Oz then looks at the ground, remembering her old days. “Despite all of this…Despite all the pain I had to endure…I wanted to make a difference for the world. I wanted to show the people that despite our incredible powers, at the end of the day…We were the same. That we Scimitars have the same feelings as humans: We could cry, laugh, love, and feel the same pain. That even if I didn't have the same power I have, I can still help the world. That I could help save people even without powers…Even if I was aware what my people did to the world caused suffering.”
“Yes, the Scimitars did help save the world against Primal Deoxys, and make a change to the world…but many Calamities was also caused by our interference: The Ascension of Enigma and their Shadow Pokemon. Their take over on Unova. Terra Betrayal to the other heroes. The death of many Legendary and Mythical, causing an enormous imbalance in the world, making the legends more and more giving up on humanity and Pokemon…And the increase of many ambitious Magi to take over control in the power over Pokemon.”
Oz then put her hands together one after the other, feeling the heavy burden in her shoulders. To be able to finally speak after such a long time it's…a relief, no matter how painful it is. “...I am a Scimitar Seddi…A Sky Scimitar. Just like Mr Samsara…but I never felt free like the Sky I should represent. I feel…shackled…like a bird who was trapped inside a cage, incapable of escaping my fate…Cursed to be shackled by the chains of the past..."
Then she looked again at Seddi's eyes. “...And a wretched creature who left those who put their trust on me behind…”
She could see in her vision: Their faces. Torn to pieces, destroyed. Their maws turn to shreds. But eternally looking at her, blaming and hating her.
The Dark Cursed Witch…
“...But…that's not all the story…not at all…It's only the tip of the iceberg.”
“...You will know my name…MY real name. The name I left so many years ago. The name I forsaken after my greatest failures happened on the same day.”
“The day where I betrayed my friends. My companions who put their trust on me…The day where they died…The day where Glinda died…”
“...”
“I…”
Oz lips get sealed…she…she couldn't bring herself to return to spell that name. The name who brought so much pain to her life…But…now she can't turn back now.
She tries to ignore the hatred the eyes keep looking at her. With a heavy sight, she reveal her name…Her original name.
“My real name…Is…Isobell. Isobell LeFay. The Black Witch. A Sky Magi…”
“...And the Betrayal Evoker.”
Seddi listens quietly as Oz describes her feelings, her motivations.
He doesn't interrupt, merely indicating for her to continue her tale. He has some opinions on what's been said so far, but he'll save them for after Oz finishes.
