For where Seddi stands on this, his goal with this mission was to save as many people as he could by engaging the enemy. This offer is implying something that would be impossible to replicate is being offered:

That implies not just defeating the Malefic Monstrum, but restoring the Masked Wolves, the Land Whales, any fallen comrades or wounds of ours...
...but most importantly, the lives of the 50+ people and pokemon that had been killed or converted by the creature and its minions.
Seddi can still fight. He and his pokemon are battered and bruised, but not beaten. He has strong, healthy pokemon, enough resources to heal some of the injuries his team sustained.
But an offer like this? It's worth considering for saving the lives of those that would be beyond saving normally.
