He'd promise to run if things got too bad, after everything else he survived and with his friends this wouldn't be the end of him. Dealing with her newfound care for him would prove to be interesting.


He did feel bad for Gloomtail. If even *she* was scared of that being he could only imagine what he must have felt. Walking over to the dragon and placing a hand on his leg. (if only he had aromatherapy lol)

Cosmic would be returned to Ross, a shame he couldn't be of too much use but it could also be a good sign that his services weren't needed. ''Guess you won't see Ecclesia in action after all, maybe we can arrange something some other time.''

With saying his goodbyes to one dragon there comes a positive though, withdrawing Lani so she could be present at the main event.

You get the mental equivalent of a slap upside the back of your head at your blatant manipulation (YEOUCH!), your Patron not at all pleased or tolerant with the cheekiness after what h a p p e n e d . You dare try to make light of THAT or use her interests so shamelessly? The nerve!

Still, despite her now immense reservations about this quest of yours and your 'antics'  the Lady of Poni would eventually be won over after making several promises about prioritizing your safety/Her Wishes and much groveling on your part.  Even then she promptly left you alone in a huff and a stinging spiritual poke between the ribs (yeouch) , with further attempts at inquiries meet with cold, frosty silence. 

Omph.....didn't your mother ever teach you never to invite a lady's scorn or make light of her worries? The Tranquil-Cold One has been might patient and accepting of your quirks and antics thus far out of aloof interest and not putting much stake in you yet (as much as that pains you to acknowledge that), but not that she cares, even just a little....expect the leash to be tightened every now and again. Such is often the price of good relations, which is magnified even more so for a Legendary Fae as Her.

As for your attempts to Comfort Gloomtail...

....It doesn't seem to cheer the Big Gloomy Dragon up all that much, but neither does it seem to offend or piss it off either. You simply got a somewhat annoyed *huff* and a sullen but still ardent [F I G H T , PROVE MIGHT AND AUTHORITY] feelings at it eye you with tired, lofty arrogance. Your newfound Insight and mild familarity made it easy to see this was a front for the 'Legend' , as it was still very much nervous and shaken. Less so, thanks to your efforts (though more because you roused its EGO than it being all that comforting) , but lingering never the less. 

You interactions with such a TITANIC and POWERFUL Dragon draws several intrigued and curious stares from the people working at the camp, but they were too busy organizing and salvaging things to bother you. Good thing too, or your ornery drake might have utilized its [Authority] to cow them, or worse treat them as pests to be squished or snacked on. 

Cosmic does seem a bit down at not having a chance to really [i]woo the gorgeous leviathan, but your comment does get a hopeful look and a snort from their Trainer. Maybe if you survive such a 'playdate' could be arranged.

Lani is initially confused about getting withdrawn for the upcomming Fight, but once your explained things (and possibly the Foresight Plan) she lights up and pounds both her clawed fists together with a jingly-jangly *CLANG!* Once more she gets to prove her Might and hone her prowess against a True Threat that will push her to the limit! If she keeps getting into Challenges like these she'll Evolve in no time flat![/i]
