[Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands

Flashback-scenes and -reactions incoming! These are meant to occur somewhat inbetween having returned from meeting Fayette and announcing Bernhard dropping out of the Encounter.

Bernhard and Nox: 3 + 2 + 26 + 10 = '41' ; 20 XP (shared) for Bern and Nox, split remaining 21 XP between Bern and Nox however you wish (pool). Zephy gets 7 XP from your shared bond.

+20 XP to Bern, +20 XP to Equi from the shared pool. +7 XP to Zephy from the bond. +1 XP to Bern and +20 XP to Equi from he pool.

Hidden Power (the move) added to Bernhard. Trait: Harmonious Touch of the Shepard! added. + 1 Empathy for him too, the first point on his side.

Citrine takes one look at the mess, a tired and haggard expression on their face, before turning to everyone and holding up his broken Gauntlet to all and says: "I'm done. Without my Gauntlet any further contributions of mine will be minimal at best, disasterous at worst. And, frankly, I've more than done my part in handling this crisis. I'll stick around the camp and offer what aid I can, though - I am not heartless, and that much is not beyond me now."

" *Looks to Bern* Consider the debt between us Fulfilled, Master Bernhard - I am open to further deals and any assistance you wish to provide me in the future. You've amply proven your considerable reputation tonight, and I would be honored if we could continue to support one another. *Sighs* Just - and please forgive me for saying this - please don't call for my aid in matters of similar caliber to this one. At least not without me advancing my own Understanding and Mastery of the arcane arts and suitable compensation..."

The Scimitar gives everyone a bow of respect, then departs, making their way further into the camp.

.....It's barely visible on Bernhard due to his stoic nature and everything, but he is absolutely distraught and distressed at the sight of Citrine's Gauntlet. To him, with his own insight and knowledge on ths precious magitech, it kinda looks well beyond repair unfortunately. Feelings and thoughts of 'what did you do down there to break it that heavily' come to Bern's mind, but not in a scolding or upset manner - but much more with an honest appreciation and ample respect. After all, it was just them and Decidueye against that massive Sand Whale. Perhaps - or rather, most likely - Citrine was more capable than Bernhard initially thought.

*Long pause* "...Very well then, dear Citrine. Yes, let us...stay in contact please, you likewise have AMPLY proven your strengths and capabilities, you indeed have. *bow of respect* And for your aid, you have my utter and deep gratitude. May we indeed support one another in the future -  much muuuucchhh preferably in less dangerous situations than...*cringes mildly*...this one, yes.  Pleasure to make business and have the help of your Fraction."

*in an oddly empathic? tone of voice* "May Acrowl's and Miss Fortune's blessing be with you on your path ahead."

Bernhard's gaze longly follows the Water Scimitar as they make their way further into the camp.

Next was Equinox!~ With the damage she/they have taken (4 extra-lethal damage to be particular), she didn't look TOO well, but also not that brutally mauled. Thankfully. Given that Masked Wolf literally jumped at her for being alluring~, things could have been.....much MUCH worse indeed.

First up she gets that extra-lethal damage threated via Bern: With 3 Super Potions to be particular. (4 x 4 = 16 points needed to eliminate the extra-lethal damage, then 4 points to bring her back to the full 16/16 HP. First Super Potion restores 8 HP, second Super Potion restores another 8 HP, third Super Potion restores the missing 4 HP. Unless their Regenerator Ability already healed up some HP?). Or rarther, no Healing Items needed, Bernhard watches in awe how the extra-lethal damage basically...heals itself in real time after Nox licked over the wounds a few times. No Healing Items needed anymore, instead upgrading Regenerator to full Wild-Lands-Modification for 50XP here - happy now, that was so worth it. And will continue to be worthy, if Bern can now harvest body samples from his chimeramon. Perhaps the lab Equinox escaped from would want to have some for further research...? (this briefly reminds him that he STILL hasn't contacted Sylvia about Equi's origin, but oh well, no time because of Major Encounter)


With that done and out of the way... Nox would receive a hug from Bernhard around her/their neck! Not an overly close or tender one to not give her any ideas~, but still one that shall express how pleased and proud he is with that chimeramon. 

Eventually Bernhard would break the hug, and follow up with appreciating headpats. "Well, aren't you a MOST ALLURING~ creature indeed, haven't you done GREATLY~ and SPLEDIDLY~, dear Equinox. You more than earned yourself any praise - *hesitates, then continues in a more quiet voice* ...as well as a GoodTime™ with that swordslady from previously if you still want and desire for that. ...LATER, and IN PRIVACY, though please. Given she...makes it out alive in the first place, given she fell in the ongoing battle unfortunately. Ah, but please do not worry, my dear Equinox - The fight is not over just yet, there is still hope..... She is being cared for at the moment."

Then Bernhard would stop the headpat and directly meets into Umbrelong's gaze with a stern, somewhat sad, yet also confident and trusting gaze of his own. For quite a while he would just look her/them into their face, pondering about this and that, remember that fateful Foxy Event from Main Street as if it just happened yesterday [when it actually DID happen yesterday]..... "Do listen to me now please, dear Equinox. ..... Due to particular circumstances, you will have to march into this final battle without me. I will not be present to give you any orders, nor will I be present to directly heal you shall you become a target. *pauses* However, I am CONFIDENT that you can do without me. I am CONFIDENT that whoever of our group will receive the Pokeball containing you for this battle, will also make use of the Healing Items with your name on them that I will hand alongside your Ball."

Briefly, Bernhard would show Equinox that his gauntet'ed hand basically got severed. "That is the Masked Wolf's doing, yes. ...A V E N G E   ITS MASTER FOR ME. SEEK  V E N G A N C E  IN MY NAME. Drastic violence is ABSOLUTE   F A I R  GAME. ...Do  N O T  hold yourself back - yet be careful to not loose your head in a frenzy and get yourself in direct danger. Play is hard, but also smart. Make use of your unique ability to synchronize. Our journey by each other's side has just begun - it would be quite a shame if it ended here, now would it not? Would it not be a shame and quite the loss if you would leave your prefered mate (Zephy I guess) hanging and all alone?"

"....Do you...understand? Do you agree? ...You READY to march on and show that hateful enemy the true power of nuclear radiation, how devasting and powerful it can be if being put into clever use?"

Next up is Steelene the Mawile. I take Bernhard would have gotten word one way or the other about Lunn's....fate, either by directly seeking her out/asking around or through the grapevine.

Using his remaining and and several magical passwords, Bernhard would summon that fairy - and prompty treat all her 6 points of extra-lethal damage with a Max Potion from his Inventory. (6 x 4 = 24 points needed to eliminate all the extra-lethal damage, the Max Potion heals all HP but does not bring back the missing HP [unlike a Full Restore]? Leaving her at 6/6 HP [12/12HP if the Max Potion does restore these lost HP too])


Bernhard has a thoughtful gaze and expression for that unique Pokemon. For quite a while he says nothing, and awaits Steelene's reaction towards him.... If she allows, gentle pet her too, very careful to not irritate the false maw in any way.... 

Then, he hangs his head. "I failed you, now didn't I", he'd quietly tell her. "You wanted to prove yourself in this fight, agreed to being linked to my Gauntlet, and YET it didn't get that far that I could make use of your outstanding abilities as I wanted to."

".....And for that, I am very sorry, dear Steelene." Silence reigns for a while, as Bernhard awaits the Pokemon's reaction towards him. It feels somewhat degrading to him, apologizing to a Pokemon out of all things. But he feels like this is...necessary and justified in this case.

"Please and regardless, may I ask you to...stay with me for a little longer please? *heavy sigh, hesitates* I do have....news for you, I indeed do, but that is neither here nor now. These shall be reseved for a more...private and secure time and setting."

Aaaaand next, last but not least, comes Nirix! That magical galarian unicorn likewise gets summoned from his Luxury Ball via making use of the magical passwords of his Gauntlet. Ugh, Bernhard HATES that he has to make use of these, he was certain he would never have to do that, but he didn't calculate in Miss Fortune's, Lady Luck's and FatherFate's plans with him (again, that is, current mood is feeling like their most beloved chew toy). .....But in this special case there is literally and absolutely no other way around it. Oh woe is Bernhard~ (._. )

Upon having initially reassured his trusted steed that he is relatively fine/according the circumstances, Bernhard would just stay there, gently petting Nirix's snout, waving his hand through the colorful mane, enjoying the vibe of MYSTICAL PROTECTION it/this whole trusted magical partner of his is giving off.

"You have been with me for quite while, now haven't you, my dear one.... I do vividly remember when you approached me there in the wild, being a small Ponyta still. How you evolved and grown under Acrowls' training alongside me. How you made clear to me that you did not find any evil within my heart that fateful day we've met..... I am most proud of you indeed."

"...And for that reason, for me trusting that you can do it, I do have a REQUEST for you."

Just like with Equinox, Bernhard would briefly show Equinox that his gauntet'ed hand basically got severed. "The doing of a most foul and evil creature this is, yes..... *flinches a little, then a bitter giggle* Within mere seconds, one of its underlings has rendered me useless, pointless, as vulnerable as I never hoped or dreamed I would feel... It's bitter, it is sad, it is painful indeed, my dear Nirix. *holds the steed's mighty head close to oneself*"

"....Now, 'what is your request to me', you might ask and wonder. My plea for you...it is to go out there, to  j o i  n   f o r  c e s  with the others who will bravely march into battle against that hateful being in my name, and  a v e n g e  what one of its underlings has done to me. Redemption and Vengance is what I seek... This Hateful Being should have   n  e  v e r  been born in the first place. Please help purifying it, banning it into the abyss where it truly belongs... Not anymore it shall cause sorrow and take innocent lives of Pokemon and Man alike."

"This is your CHANCE, dear Nirix - to prove your bravery and purity. To show how powerful and potent the healing properties your kin is - to prove that despite the battle has been lost, one might still win the war if one only displays to courage to move onwards without fear.

"I will not give you direct orders - do what YOU think is right and is justified. What I will give you along the way however are several Healing Item, places in the hand of my comrades with a request to heal you shall you become exhausted."

Another long break, in which both Bernhard and Nirix just dwell on each other, enjoy the closeness they share.  "....Do not worry for me, dear Nirix - be BRAVE, be COURAGEOUS. Do it IN MY NAME I will display utmost care and caution in going my way, seeking amends for what that Hateful Being has done to me - Myra is with me, Spritzee is with me, Zephy is with me. I do have to admit that it pains me to give up on your protection and aid for my side right now - though in this particular case, I do believe the others need your help MORE than I do."

"Do you...understand, dear Nirix? Do you agree? You READY to go on despite all odds, to NOT loose hope in a moment of utmost darkness?"
