[Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands

The mechanic is genuinely very fun and creative.  But man, do top level singles players have mixed feelings on pokemon being able to flip their type matchups on a whim...(VGC players don't mind it at all though)

I find it really funny that some folks complain about the silly hats, suggest a bunch of smaller details to identify the type changes, and they're all details that are already implemented alongside the hats (a crystalline sheen of the type's color and particle effects swirling around the pokemon's model being the big two).  The hat just gets the most attention because it's the easiest thing to point at (which is entirely the point of it being there at all).

Seddi could have started the game with access to Windos's version of Tera, so using it ourselves is definitely a possibility down the line.  It's absolutely a mechanic I want to play around with too because of both the potential it has and the flavor of Seddi being Paldean.  Off type teras are normally pretty rare without special circumstances or outside intervention of some kind though, so expect to see a lot of default STAB Tera types.

I am actually one of the people who doesn't like Tera very much. Call me a edge guy, but they to much silly to my taste too. The crystal sheen I actually like though. It's a really cool concept the idea of changing types via a transformation, but I prefer the mechanic of mechanic of mega because there more of a strategy factor since you need to think what Pokemon you gonna choose to be use as your main one. Not mentioning not all Pokemon can access Mega Evolution, so it gives value to such power. And some of the Mega desights I really like it, although not ALL Mega Pokemon are created equally, and some of them does have lackluster desigh at least in my eyes. *Looking at you Mega Manectric*.

And as someone who was raised watching Digimon, the power to go BEYOND its limits, even if its temporary, is so much anime. 

I not shitting on Teras though. It is a really powerfull mechanic, and can be very game changing and have a important strategy. Specially if you change a Pokemon with a horrible typing to another type who can benefit of such typing. Finally can make use of Ice types with lots of Defense, like Avalugg into a Steel type! Or make Aggron into a Full Steel type!

...Just wish there are a toggle option to removed the hat and keep the Crystal Sheen skin. I think it would make things better for my eyes. That way Nintendo would keep the two sides happy: The ones who actually enjoy the hats. And the ones who don't. And it's not even a difficult change. Thats just my opinion.
