*Peeks into the forums*
Oh dear, my absence yet again is inspiring the wrong sorts of feelings. Alright, update time!
First, the reason for my silence is twofold - I've have been rather busy IRL with my job as well as job hunting, and until recently I was still sorting out how to get my internet to work properly once more. Between those two things I haven't made much more progress into brainstorming the immediate future of the campaign, and not helping is how tiresome the whole process of.....everything is as of late. When it rains it pours...
So, I didn't feel the need to inform you that things were going nowhere fast in terms of getting the campaign the swift kick in the rear it needs. I apologize for that - keeping in touch with people is one of my most poorly developed skills, especially when I'm antisocial enough that I forget that people tend to worry when you go silent for awhile...
*Claps Hands* Enough of the dreary, though, for I have good news: I'm FINALLY getting my internet fixed soon! Turns out the issue was a odd interaction between faulty wiring, overlaping signals, and a few old glitches here and there that have been hamstringing me and them for so long, but now that they got things nailed down I'm expected to have full access with the next few days! Huzzah! As for what the update schedule for the campaign will be like, I'll try to be brisk, but given the different time zones and respective challenges we all have right now in our lives I expect things will be slow going regardless. Hopefully I'll get this whole Super Boss thing done soon....though that depends on feed back from you guys.
Other than that, not much else for me to report personally, so let's move onto other matters. To start is the matter concerning Dragonstrike's prolonged stay of leave from the forums. Considering my own track record in overly long stays of leave from the forums I have no place to criticize him for taking a sabbatical of their own. However, I'm still rather worried, and I only have the vaguest notions and ideas as to why that is the case since they have not personally given me anything in regards to why they have left. You guys seem more in the loop on that matter, but I won't ask you share if the details are too personal. All I just wish to know if they're okay, and if their is anything they want me to do on my end of things.
Until I hear from them however, and as much as it pains me to do, I will suspending Dragonstrike's involvement in my campaign until such time they get back in touch with me and we work out the details thereof. As much as I want to keep waiting on them - and as much as my own problems IRL have only made said wait easier and necessary - that isn't fair to the rest of you guys. The show must go on, even if one of stars has seemingly shot off into the grand yonder.
Because of this, I'll be counting all the votes/decision that have been made so far and make a final decision on where to go. Only Iron hasn't weighed in on their opinion, but given how they've all but detached themselves from the campaign I figure they won't care how the vote goes, only so long as its done and the story can move on in the first place.
....Which is a problem, as with Redstone's latest decision to go with Retcon has...complicated things. 2 Votes for Retcon (@PhantomUnderYourDesk and @Redstone), 1 Vote for Fight It (@Spiritmon), and 1 Vote for...anything, but mostly either Fight It or Bow Out (@Mikaruge108 - they never really clarified WHICH they favored more by the time I'm taking count.) . Oh boy, another split vote! History sure likes rhyme, eh?
*Sighs* Typically, I would aggregate Mika's option into their next most preferred option and carry on the vote from there - their is a term for this kind of voting, but it escapes me now - but considering the would lump them in with Spirit that would only lead to a Deadlock in the vote. So....I'm going to go an alternative route - I'm counting their Vote into halves for both Fight it Out and Bow Out, considering those where the option the specifically listed out as their preference. This will in effective give Fight it Out 1.5 Votes, Bow Out 0.5 , and lastly Fae Retcon for 2.0 .
In short, based on the vote Retconning things is the Final Outcome. As a olive branch I'll do my best to incorporate your desires for glory and gratification for your PC, Spiritmon, while I still got that sequence to finish with you Mika. Hopefully you'll like what I can cook up, but if not....that's the way the Lava Cookie crumbles sometimes, and I'll find some way to make it up to you guys later.
ETA on that will be in a couple of days or so - maybe sooner or later, depending if my time permits and my internet can be fixed ASA I Like - so once more I have to ask you wait warmly while it all comes to fruition.
And, as always, If you have any questions or things to discuss feel free to let me know!
