Typically speaking, status moves are better than Ghost Curse, unless you have very specific strategies in mind for its use (Such as forcing switching, punishing Tanks for staying in too long, or as a dying action [AKA: You are going to die next turn, so why not do yourself in while harming the opponent?])
Also, while I did not add this to its original moveset, its absolutely doable to run status and/or Curse on the Physical moveset. I just don't consider it the most optimal setup, since if you have multiple priority STABs and great coverage/main moves, why waste a slot on status? Especially after a SD, since you have a good chance of OHKO or THKO your opponents. Wil-lo-Wisp is the only exception I see to this, since it does some much damage to Phys attackers that its worth running on that principle alone, if you don't have any other Pokémon capable of burning something.
