[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
It's now that Machamp finally notices the extra drama that had been happening around him and Kee.  Hoopa also starts paying attention to it, looking up from the unconscious Zorua that he'd been poking after Daxter's announcement.  Karen shifts uncomfortably, not knowing what to say and looking rather overwhelmed by all the strong emotions present.

*rolls* (the results of Pyra's attempt to recruit Zorua will be addressed during the Chapter 2 timeskip)

The Zorua that Pyra had been holding is rather shocked by being dropped and Pyra's sudden reaction (or lack thereof), before scrambling for the Tiny Reviver Seed and taking it to their mother.  Upon being given the Tiny Reviver Seed, Zoroark starts to stir.

"....uuuurrrrgggghhhh...what happened?  Where am I...?"

She sits up and looks around the room, but her questions and comments stop there when she notices how tense the atmosphere is.

It's Marcus that finally breaks the silence.

"I think it's about time we all went back to the Guild.  You can work out the details of Machamp's reward for helping him later.  And anything else...talk to Floette.  She's going to have a lot of paperwork to do, I imagine."

It's not long after that Team OS uses their Adventure Badge to teleport everyone in the room back to Sahra Town, taking the solemn atmosphere with them, leaving nothing but an empty mine behind.

Chapter 2: The Coming Storm

The scene opens with the image of a thunderstorm at sea.  A small wooden raft seems to have been caught in it.

WHOOOOOOOSSSSSHH

F L A S H

"Hold on tight!  This storm is stronger than the others!"

"I know that!  Where did it even come from?"

"I don't know!  Did they find us, maybe?"

F L A S H

*K A B O O M*

"I hope not!"

F L A S H

WHOOOOOOOOSSSSSSHHHHHH

F L A S H

*C R A C K*

"AAAAAAA!"
"AAAAAAA!"

*K A B O O M*

What remains of the wooden raft floats atop the churning waves as lightning continues to strike through the air, the wind howling in an attempt to drown out the sound of the thunder.

The scene fades to black as the sound of waves, wind, and thunder continues...

---------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, back at the Adventurer's Guild on the Sand Continent, Team Omega Seekers and its former members have been busy.

Upon arrival back at Sahra Town, Marcus insisted that Team OS report to Guildmaster Delphox about what happened on the mission, with Machamp watching Zoroark in the meantime.  Upon hearing the report, the Guildmaster seemed troubled by the news, but told the team to continue with business as usual and thanked them for the update.

In the immediate aftermath, Floette was concerned and confused about the team's decision to split into two different groups, but went through with writing up the relevant paperwork once it became clear that everyone was set in the decision.

Pyra splits off from Team OS in her depression, seeking a new purpose to latch on to after feeling like she'd failed her friends utterly.  She turns to Marcus for help, asking once more if she could learn some of his practice from him.  The craftsmon was reluctant at first, but a brief mention of Team Artificers being her second choice motivated the Cubone to take the Devimp under his wing.  Pyra leaves Team OS...

Meanwhile, Daxter forms a new team separate from his original one.  Not wanting him to be on his own and wanting a break from all the drama that was overwhelming her senses, Karen elected to join him.  After some discussion with the remaining members of Team OS, it was also determined that the Rolycoly that had been recruited in the Hidden Mine would be their third member, and the rock type seemed to be very relieved that they wouldn't have to work with Kogeki.  All that remained was choosing a name: Team Night Wardens.  Despite leaving Team OS, though, Daxter can't help but think about that Plate that Darkula had been holding.  Something about it seemed...familiar somehow.  He can't quite put his claw on why exactly, but he thinks it's important.  Even if he wants to put the past behind him, he doesn't think it'd be a good idea to do so entirely.  Daxter, Karen, and Rolycoly leave Team OS and form Team Night Wardens.  Karen's Instinct increases to 3, and Daxter's Logic also increases to 3.

The day after the return of the group and its subsequent split, a message was delivered to both Team OS and Team NW by Cacturne, Delphox's right hand officer.  Despite the sneer in his tone as he reads the message to the (in his opinion) unproven newcomers, it is good news.

"By the order of the Guildmaster, both Team Omega Seekers and Night Wardens are to be promoted to the Bronze Rank, effective immediately.  Hmph.  Consider yourselves lucky the Guildmaster seems to be playing favorites.  I, for one, would not have promoted newcomers so quickly.  Go get your new badges from Floette, and know that I'll be watching you very carefully.  I hope you're ready for the more difficult jobs you'll be able to take now that you've been promoted."

The Salandit that had been attacked in the Secret Quarry regains consciousness that same day.  He can't remember who was attacking him or why, but he does remember a nickname he'd been given by someone: Skittles.  This immediately rings a bell for Kee, and the Zigzagoon offering his name rings a bell for Salandit as well.  Despite being a very young pokemon still, Skittles the Salandit joins Team OS upon being reunited with Kee.  He also comes with a Cheri Berry.  In addition, Kee's Logic increases to 3.

Zoroark eventually shows up at the guild along with one of her Zorua looking for Team Omega Seekers.  "Uh...sorry about before...I, uh...wasn't exactly myself.  Zorua here has had a talk with me about what you did and...what that fire type asked him.  He says he wants to join your team.  So that something like that doesn't happen again.  And honestly, I don't have any objections.  You take good care of him, alright?  Make sure he learns plenty of new tricks.  Shouldn't be too hard.  He's always had an easy time copying what others do.  Hehehe.  You'll see what I mean soon enough, I'm sure."  Zorua joins Team Omega Seekers!  Unfortunately, though, he doesn't seem to know much about what happened to his mom.

Hawlucha is very glad to hear that the members of Team OS (both current and former) have retrieved his Link Box when they finally get around to returning it to him.  "I'll need a little time to get my shop back in working order, but now that I have my Link Box back, you can expect me to be back to teaching pokemon how to use new techniques within the week!  I'll give you a special deal for your first lesson for finding my Link Box: I'll link two of one pokemon's moves together for free!  Linked moves are very powerful.  They're used one after the other before the opposition can even have a chance to react!  I normally charge a 500 Poké fee for Linking moves, and delinking them if you happen to not like the combination or want to try a different one is something I do for free.  I can also only link two moves at a time per pokemon.  Any more than that, and it tends to be too much of a strain on all but the most hardy of Adventurers, since using moves in rapid succession like that tends to make you very hungry very quickly.  Discuss among yourselves who you'd like to try this out on and come see me later!  And if you ever happen to get your claws on a Lucha Token from Cofagrigus's Glorious Gold, I'll be able to unlock a pokemon's Hidden Ability!  It'll take me a little longer to get my Move Tutoring services back up and running, unfortunately, but you can look forward to being able to learn powerful moves here when it is available again!  For a fee, of course."

Daxter examines the Looplet that he picked up in the Secret Quarry in closer detail at some time during the week.  On the inside of the Looplet's band, he finds a note taped to the back that says 'Property of the Dashing Wanderer'.  What the heck could that possibly mean?

The rest of the following week is business as usual for both teams.  They take jobs from the board, complete them, and collect the rewards.  It's monotonous work at times, and few pokemon in everyday business seem to have any more unusual problems in the lower ranked jobs, but it keeps everyone busy and even starts to strengthen them a little.  Though completing the lowest rank jobs don't seem to be nearly as rewarding as the slightly higher ranked ones they're now able to accept, they also find that the higher ranked jobs are more demanding on their resources, so avoiding using items isn't quite as easy as it was before.

Team Omega Seeker finds they're able to branch out and start sending out multiple parties of Adventurers at once now that they have 6 members in the team along with two members they can trust to lead each group of three (Kee and Kogeki), allowing them to be more efficient when clearing out their accepted missions.  By contrast, Team Night Wardens has to focus more on bolstering their numbers due to being a freshly created team.

The following rewards are earned from the jobs accepted by both teams during the week:
- Everyone gets 20 exp (including the recruits, who will spend it on various upgrades on their own.  Windos's new character also gets this 20 exp)
- Team Omega Seekers gets 7000 Poké to split amongst themselves/add to their group fund
- Team Night Wardens gets 3500 Poké and can recruit two of the following pokemon (alternatively, they can take 500 Poké instead of a recruit):
 > Minun
 > Snom
 > Geodude (Kantonian)
 > Sentret
 > Yamask (Unovan)
 > Rowlet
- Both teams found 2 Gold Bars each during their adventuring!  It seems to be rather difficult to find them without the aid of Cofagrigus's Excavation Looplet...
- Both teams may also pick three of these items to purchase from the Kecleon Shop at no extra gameplay cost (max one of each selection per team.  Random selections generate three or four random options, then you choose which ones to keep):
 > 1 Reviver Seed
 > 1 Huge Apple
 > 1 random common or uncommon TM
 > 1 random Wonder Orb
 > 1 random Scarf or Glasses hold item
 > Bundle of 2 Tiny Reviver Seeds
 > Bundle of 2 Oran Berries
 > Bundle of 2 random berries or seeds (excluding Orans and Revivers)
 > Bundle of 2 Looplets (has 3 notches, no innate effects)

Machamp finishes construction of both of the bases outside Sahra Town that were requested by Teams OS and NW.  They're able to move into them by the end of the week.  The night of the bases' completion, though, there's a storm.  Thunder strikes, wind howls, and everyone appreciates the sturdy roofing that's over their heads, because they'd be getting very, very wet if it broke on them.

---------------------------------------------

It is now Day 12. (everyone gains 1 heartbeat exp and 1 Will)

After a week of little of note happening, everyone's been settling into a normal routine.  No major crises occur, there's surprisingly little trouble with the other teams at the Guild, and criminal activity and outlaw jobs seem to have a hit a low.  It's quiet.  Almost a little too quiet, considering Darkula escaped with the Dread Plate.

Until Sandshrew and Hippopotas, two of the town's local children, come running back to town one morning after going out to play, that is.

"Sheriff Flygon, Sheriff Flygon, there's a pokemon passed out on the beach!"

"A pokemon?  What kind of pokemon?"

"We don't know!  It looks like some kind of bird pokemon, though!"

"Alright, show me where they are so I can assess the situation."

Later, Flygon carries the bird pokemon, who sparkles like a Shiny pokemon and looks unlike any bird that Sahra Town has ever seen, into the guild and requests that Floette finds a room for them, and for Audino to administer medical aid.

----------------------------------------------------------

@Lord Windos, your character wakes up in a room with an Audino gathering berries in the corner.  It's a strange and unfamiliar place, the temperature is strangely cool compared to what you're used to, and you feel sore all over.  It doesn't take long for Audino to notice that the metallic bird laying on the straw bed has woken up.  "Oh, you're finally awake!  That's great!  Here, eat this and don't move.  I need to examine you for injuries still."  Audino offers you an Oran Berry to eat.

----------------------------------------------------------

(@Spiritmon, @PhantomUnderYourDesk, @no one)

For both Team Omega Seekers and Team Night Wardens, their day starts like any other.  They're still getting used to their accommodations outside of the town, but visiting the guild to look for jobs is slowly becoming a familiar routine, so it isn't strange for them to head to the Guild first thing in the morning to pick up some jobs before visiting the various other facilities to prepare for the day's work.

What is strange, though, is the crowd gathered in front of the Guild that morning.  Sheriff Flygon seems to be watching the door while many of the town's residents discuss something among themselves and pester the sheriff with questions he doesn't really want to answer.  Looks like if you want to get into the guild, you'll have to either go through the crowd and get past the sheriff or wait until the crowd disperses.

Once done, they went right back to staring at Audino for several second longer, until they finally deigned to speak.

Daxter had been busy during the whole week. He readily took Rolycoly in to stop Kogeki from messing with him too much. His team was small, so he and Karen started to expand it slowly during their adventures over the week. A Snom and a Rowlet were recruited due to either his or Karen's interest in them or their interest in his team and settled into the Night Wardens' base. As the week passed by, Daxter couldn't stop thinking about the Dark Plate. That Darkula fellow was still out there and he couldn't figure out why that plate looked so familiar. Thinking about the plate jogged his memories a little, however. He stares down at Buddy's collar, straining to remember something, anything from his old life. Suddenly the letters and symbols just clicked together once again. He could read! B-U-D-D-Y! This was useful. This meant that he now had a way to make notes that only he would understand. A great way to make sure he could get some privacy.

As for the items that the Night Wardens had picked up during the week:
- 2 Tiny Reviver Seeds
- 2 Random Berries
- 1 Random TM
Just gonna let Dragon roll for the berries and the TM

Daxter also felt himself getting stronger in other ways during the week. He was finally able to get some regular contact with water thanks to the pool that Machamp had built into the base so that meant that he also had a very comfortable area to sleep. Daxter uses 20 exp to increase his Health from 2 to 3. He also finally gets used to his new body, and starts forming his facial expressions a little better which helps him get his point across more easily. Daxter uses 12 exp to increase his Contest by 1 and Intimidate by 1.

The $3500 that the team isn't as much as Daxter hoped they were making, but this was in part of Karen's shopaholic tendencies (taking a few liberties with this one since Dragon mentioned that Karen is a shopaholic over dms) so Daxter began restricting her access to the team's money.

"Sorry, love. We can't have two bad spenders in the team. I think a chap like me being in charge of the money is bad enough. Both of us together? That'd leave us with nothing!"

Karen will only have access to $1000 of the money that the team made over the week. "Don't worry, I know you'll probably burn through that lot fast enough. You'll get more as we earn more."

On the morning of the twelfth day, Daxter gets out of the pool and streches, shaking the water off. Out of the comfort of the water and into the heat of the desert, then. He walks to the places that Rolycoly, Snom and Rowlet are sleeping and shakes them awake gently.

"Oi! Wake up! Come on! Long day ahead. You three doing alright? Liking the place? This place isn't too hot for you, is it, Snom? You three can get going. Get some food in Kangaskhan's place and I'll meet up with you there after I grab the jobs for today. You know the schedule. I take two of you with me and the other does some training with Karen and Poliwrath. Go on. Get some breakfast in you."

Daxter then turns to Karen (wherever she may have taken residence in the base). "Hey, love. I'm heading to the guild to get some jobs for us. You coming with, or you gonna get some breakfast instead?"

Regardless of her answer, Daxter pushes on towards the guild. The commotion isn't anything like he's expecting, however. He stares at the crowd in confusion. He pushes his way through the crowd, squeezing by with his amphibious body and manages to reach the front door. "Uh, sherrif? What the bloody hell is going on here, mate? There a celebrity in town?"
I'm no one special. Also, here's a pupper pic:

Onwards to the Guild Ziggy Kee zigzags this morning, his smol big heart heavy from dear Pyra's departure yet overjoyed from having found what he BELIEVES to be one one of the Pokemon he cared for in his prior human life. Heck, it'll be fun for sure to be on eye level with that poisonous lizard and go on adventures together, hehe!~ And for Pyra.. Well, it's not farewell forever. He can still see her if he goes to visit Marcus, or can he...? Maybe. Kee hopes so.

That crowd and Sheriff Flygon up there at Delphox's Guild abruptly stop the furry crittercoon's train of though however, causing him to huff a little at the unexpected obstacle. But small and agile Kee is, he starts to make his way through the crowd and straightly towards Sheriff Flygon, *coughing* to catch their attention when he's as closest at the guild's door as he can be. "Good mornin' there, sheriff!~", Kee salutes, "May I enter the Guild I'm member of to pick up some neat jobs to complete t'day please, or is there good reason for it bein' off-grounds this mornin'...?~"

Audino nods and starts talking while examining the little bird with the feelers on his ears.

"You're currently in the Adventurer's Guild in Sahra Town, on the Sand Continent.  Some of the local kids found you passed out on the beach this morning and told the sheriff.  He carried you here and asked for me to examine you."

Audino curls his feelers back up and takes a step backwards from the bed.  "It doesn't seem like you're majorly injured.  Looks like you're just a bit bruised and have a few singed feathers.  Now it's time for me to ask you some questions.  Do you remember what happened before you woke up, what caused those injuries?  I'll need to write that down in my report."

Team Night Wardens's Supplies Purchases:

Berries and Seeds (pick two):
- Pecha Berry
- Sitrus Berry
- Lum Berry
- X-Eye Seed (inflicts the cross-eyed status on the consumer)

TM (pick one):
- Draining Kiss
- Rock Smash
- Steel Wing

Karen pouts somewhat when told she's getting a smaller share of the money due to her shopping habits.  "Oh come on!  You can never have too many Tiny Reviver Seeds!  And we needed all that supplies I bought the other day to get through that last Mystery Dungeon, didn't we?  And we've recruited a pokemon that's able use that TM I bought now, right?  Can't I have a little more than this?  Just a little?  No?  Okay..."

--------------------------------

(Snom and Rowlet have been added to the recruit list)

Snom does not seem to be enjoying the heat at all.  She's complaining very loudly about it.  "Ugh, why does it have to be so hot here?  I can barely keep my snowcones frozen when we're inside...I appreciate the opportunity to join your team and all, but I really hope we can visit someplace a lot cooler than here.  Preferably frequently.  *sigh*...I miss the Snowy Cave Depths..."

Rowlet is a lot more composed.  He's a bird of few words.  "Ready for my assignment."

Rolycoly just nods without saying anything while looking around a somewhat nervously.  He's still adjusting to his new routine and life.

Karen mulls over Daxter's question for a bit.  Her room in the base is decorated with various knick knacks she's picked up from shops around Sahra Town.  "I'll go get some breakfast with the recruits, so I'll catch up with you later, Daxter."

Quote:Alrighty, we have everything we want for Team OS from the Keks (TM, Scarf/Glasses, and Wonder Orb)...

Team Omega Seekers's Supplies Purchases:

TM (Pick one):
- Rock Tomb
- Infestation
- Sand Tomb

Scarf/Glasses (Pick one):
- Rawst Scarf (prevents the holder from getting Burned)
- Tight Belt (the holder doesn't get hungry as quickly as they normally would)
- Fickle Specs (increases critical hit rate when using a different action order than the previous Round)

Wonder Orb (Pick one):
- Emera-Up Orb (increases the number of notches in a Looplet by 1 until the current dungeon is left.  Looplets can have a maximum of 8 notches)
- Stairs Orb (reveals the location of the stairs to the next floor)
- Trapbust Orb (if there's an untriggered Trap in the room, using the Orb safely disarms it guaranteed)

Flygon looks away from the crowd for a second and down at the pokemon addressing him directly.  "Ah, Omega Seekers and Night Wardens.  Good timing.  The Guildmaster has called an urgent meeting.  All teams that are members of the Guild need to send at least one representative to attend.  That, and the fact that the local kids found an unconscious pokemon on the beach this morning that nobody can identify seems to have gotten the whole town in a bit of a stir.  You should go in. We're just waiting on..."

Flygon's interrupted by the sound of one of the townsfolk in the crowd yelping in surprise.

"Hey, watch where you're going!"

"Oops, sorry!  Didn't see you there!"

*B U M P*

Another pokemon cries out, but they sound a bit angrier.  It's clearly one of Machamp's Machop workers.

"Hey, watch it!  Or are you trying to do this on purpose?!"

"Whoops, sorry again!  I'm just trying to find the local guild!  It is this way, right?"

"...*sigh*, what is it now?  Move aside, everyone, move aside.  NO.  FIGHTING."

The crowd parts to let a pokemon through to the front of the guild at Flygon's command, though some of the townsfolk seem to grumble about it.  Flygon peers into the crowd to see who is causing all the ruckus.  "And you are?  You're not here to cause trouble, are you?"

The pokemon is tall, yellow with black stripes on his neck and ears, he has a tail with a red orb on the end, and he's wearing a badge (though it's a different shape to the Adventurer Badges).  He walks forward and waves hello.

"Oh, goodness, no.  I'm here for the emergency meeting.  You may already know me as..."

He strikes a pose!

"The Dashing Wanderer!"

The Dashing Wanderer!: Wandering Ampharos - Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon

Flygon just gives the Ampharos a skeptical look.  "Uh huh.  And how do I know you're here for the meeting and not just bumping into everyone you see?  Or rather, don't see."

"Oh, do I really have to spell it out for you?  Fine, fine."  He points to his badge.  "I believe my second in command is already here.  She should be wearing the same badge as me.  Steel type pokemon.  I assume she probably told you I was coming?"

"Well, now that you mention it...yes, there is someone here who fits that description.  Though all she told me about her superior was that I would 'know him when I see him.'  *sigh*...alright, you can go in.  Omega Seekers and Night Wardens, you should head inside too.  Make sure this Ampharos gets to where he needs to go."

Ampharos looks down at the small pokemon nearby.  "Oh!  I didn't see you there!  Silly me!  Are you members of the Guild here?  This is the Adventurer's Guild, right?"

Flygon facepalms.

The Shiny Bird carefully held still as the healer did their check up, though that didn't prevent them from letting out a thoughtful *hmm* as they answered.

"Mm....well, I will have to find them all later and repay them for their kindness. Goodness knows I could have been worse off without rescue, and I hate leaving Pokémon unrewarded for great deeds or a job well done. May I have their names, if you know them, healer?"

Once Audino was done and gave their prognosis, the metallic avian looked over the aforementioned damaged feathers and grimace, looking a bit pained to see their wonderful plumage marred so Ghastly. Nature shouldn't have despoiled her Beauty like it did, oh no no no! They'll have to preen themselves later, and won't that be a chore.

"Tsk.....most regrettable, *Sighs* but I suppose I can endure my Beauty being temporarily tarnished over more.......substantial injuries. *Nods* My thanks for your treatment."

If they has their Bag on them, they would then take this moment to rummage around it, before pulling out $75 Poke and offering to the Audino. If not, ignore the following:

"Here. Repayment for the Oran used to treat my injuries, and a little extra for looking after me so well. I insist you take it, and use it however you wish, healer."

Finally, the waylayed fowl got around to responding to the pink medic's inquires, tilting their head this way and that as they recalled what happened.

"Hmm.....I believe I was struck by lightening during on the sea. I was traveling with my faithful compan - "

Aburptly they stopped as their eyes widened in sudden realization as they once more looked at their surroundings, this time much more frantically. Not seeing what they were looking for, the metallic avian's attention immediately refocused on Audino, and with a harried flapping of their wings they began to shout.

"Where's my companion Ray?! He's.....kin of mine! Did the children and sheriff not find him too?! Is he being treated elsewhere here in Sahra Town?! Answer me!"

If the commotion from within/outside the Guild is also becoming audible to the PC, they'd also say: "And what's with all this Thundering racket?! I know I can attract a crowd, but I didn't imagine I would stir up a commotion in these distance lands! At least, not without proper efforts!"

He had not very much to say about Daxter and Karen departure. What he feel he already said. But he doest felt a bit hurt with Pyra decision, but respect her decision and at least a bit better since she didnt join Team Artificer. She hug her and wish her good luck in her journey.

Since the others doesnt say much the Link Moves, Kogeki decided to be the first one in be the first person in try such thing. He want to link Quick Attack and Shadow Punch as his first Linked Moves.

He also didnt said much to the new members joining to the team or the new medals. Not exatcly in the mood for such events.

Kogeki did what he does best: Training. He likes very much the new of the group. He train with a piece of wood his martial arts, trying to focus in getting stronger.

He could still feel the darkness inside of him, trying to eat his essence and soul. But for now he need to focus in help everyone.

Kogeki try to keep up with Kee speed to reach the Guild too. "Sheriff." Kogeki give the autorithy a salute of his head too, but doesnt say much. He is clearly not in his best mood, but he try to stand polite. Its the only thing he can do.

When he see the strange Ampharos and him asking if they are adventures and if this place is the Guild, Kogeki simple point his own badge and tell him with a annoyed tone of voice.
"A big group of Pokemon gathered in one place. The sheriff telling to go inside. Said Pokemon carrying badges like these. Either someone is offering a discount in Oran Berries and everyone want it, or is this Guild indeed. I guess the answer is pretty obvious dont you think Ampharos?"

"Lets just enter and end this already. We have a lot of job to do."
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

"Ah, of course.  The children who ran across you were probably Sandshrew and Hippopotas.  They're practically always together, and they spend a lot of time on that beach outside of town, so they should be easy to find.  And the sheriff is currently standing guard outside the guild's main entrance.  He'll be even easier to spot, what with his badge and those large wings of his."

Audino pauses his note taking and declines to take the money.  "I'm just doing my job, miss.  The guild provides the funds for my services, so you need not worry about me."  He goes back to scribbling notes, muttering to himself.  "Lightning...storm at sea...hmmmm..."

He looks back up, somewhat startled by his patient's sudden outburst.  "Calm down, calm down.  You're still recovering from your current injuries.  We don't need you hurting yourself even more now.  You were traveling with someone?  I'm afraid the children only found you this morning, miss.  I can see if the Guild can send out a search party soon, though.  Maybe your companion washed up elsewhere nearby."

The majority of the guild's rooms are based underground (not that your character would know that), so the crowd outside the guild wouldn't be audible from here, but there is suddenly a commotion as several sets of footsteps clatter past the door to the room.

"Ah, that'll probably be one of the Teams on their way to the Grand Hall.  The Guildmaster has called an emergency meeting with the local Teams.  I don't know why exactly, but she stated it was very urgent and that every team needed to be sent notice to send a representative to the guild ASAP.  I had to deliver the notice to Team Slink this morning, in fact.  That was right before you were brought in by the sheriff.  Hmmmm..."

Audino walks over to a side counter and pulls a drawstring hanging from the ceiling, ringing a bell somewhere.  A moment later, a Drilbur burrows through the wall!

"What?  Can't you hear we're busy, doc?"

"My apologies, but can you inform the Guildmaster that our guest wasn't traveling alone?  They were apparently at sea when a storm separated them from their traveling companion.  We may need to send out a search party to look for another pokemon."

Drilbur salutes.  "Roger that!"  Then they disappear back into the wall, filling the hole behind them.  A few minutes later, they return, looking somewhat flustered and out of breath.

"The Guildmaster...wants to see you and your patient immediately...Audino...phew...you all are going to kill me one day with all this urgent back and forth message delivery..."

"Thank you Drilbur.  You know where the restoratives are.  Take two of them, and no more.  Well then, it seems we have been summoned, miss.  This is somewhat unexpected...I needed to give my report to the guildmaster anyways, though, so I suppose this works out.  Let me escort you to the Grand Hall.  The guild can be a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around."

It's somewhat fitting that Kogeki's the one to receive the free Linking, as he's the one who was holding on to the Link Box before it was delivered!

"Alright, just follow my lead.  If you want to use those two moves in succession, you must first strike swiftly, then hit your opponent where they're least expecting it immediately afterwards!  Like this!  Hiya!  Ya!"

Hawlucha suddenly strikes at his student with two moves in rapid succession!

It doesn't affect Kogeki...

"Just like that!  Now then, you try!  Not on me, though.  Use the targets in the back of the shop.  Make sure to practice regularly.  Using Linked moves can be very tricky if you aren't used to it.  It can throw off your rhythm in a battle if you're only used to using the moves individually."

Kogeki has linked Quick Attack -> Shadow Punch. (make sure to note this down in that exact order on your sheet)

---------------------------------------

Ampharos shudders.  "Ooooo, icy reception.  Remind me not to wake you up in the morning.  And I thought our astronomer was a real grump if you catch him on the wrong side of the bed.  Well, never mind that.  If you could just show me where the emergency meeting is, I would greatly appreciate it.  I have the most terrible sense of direction if you couldn't tell."

"...oh, we can tell.  We can tell.  Meeting's in the Grand Hall.  Just follow these two teams, and try not to get lost on the way there."

Both teams head into the guild, with Ampharos following closely behind.  Just what kind of news awaits them?

After the doors close behind him and Ampharos is out of earshot, Flygon mutters to himself, "...that pokemon has the worst sense of direction I have ever seen..."

(Feel free to react to anything prior if you haven't yet, everyone.  Wanted to get this out of the way since I'm feelin' the groove atm.  The emergency meeting itself will be a separate post.)

"*Happy chirp* Thank you very much, healer! I'll search for them post haste....once I fix my bedraggled appearance, that is. First impressions are worth their weight in Poke, and I want mine to be priceless to my heroes!"

The metallic avian good mood was somewhat spoiled by the medic refusing their patronage, looking a bit irritated they did it so easily, but they bit back their rebuke with a *Sigh* . Well, if he wouldn't accept due compensation for healing them, they'll have to take up the matter with the Guild itself. Hopefully the organization wouldn't be so churlish to reject their gratitude and a chance to repay the debt to them.

The pink healer's demands at first made the Shiny Bird bristle and ready to start making some of her own, but his swift reply to them concerns quickly quelled their irritation with him. Their worried energy only abated somewhat, however, yet they tried their best to mask it with an imperious look and a Cool/charismatic tone.

".......Please see that you do. If the Guild need further incentive to do so quickly and thoroughly, tell them I'm willing to......expedite things with some Poke or favors. He's......important to me, so I want him found quickly."

From there things happened in such quick enough succession that the flustered fowl couldn't get in another word edgewise, until they last the chance to do so when the Audino sent off that....Drilbur to contact the Guild Master of this place. Those minutes the mole was away were a tad bit tense, as they wanted the search for them companion to happen NOW, though they did take the opportunity to try and do their best to preen and clean her dirty/damaged feathers to look more presentable.

Once they came back with word that the Guild Master wanted to see them the metallic avian immediately straightened up in surprise, before they coughed and recomposed themselves.

"*Ahem* .....Yes, I didn't imagine I would get the chance to meet them so sooner either. Right then, lead the way healer."

Looks like they're getting a meeting with the local Leader here early, though they wonder what difficulty has riled them up enough to mobilized their followers and entreat vagabounds to deal with it in mass.....
