[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
Not much to say or do here, apart from the EaGEr j0Y!!1 of seeing Gallade being well and up (for now) and the mAXX hYPe1! of being up against Landorus eventually. Shivering for a mere moment due to being intimidated by them, Kee's up to go ALL OUT with a sudden screech the very second Lando dares to harm any of his allies!~

Action 1:
Snarl Clash on the first damaging action Landorus takes! Now with an increased chance to work as 6XP go into the Clash Speciality, raising it to 2. And a Will Point for the extra effort put into it.

Accuracy: 2 Special + 2 Fight + 3*Clash thanks to the held SolarBattery - 2 Actions = 5d6 + (6*).
Effect: If successfull, it's 1 auto-damage for me and Lando instead of them carrying out their move.

...And for the second move, Kee's going to yank out the Blast Wand from his belongings, point the tip of it directly into the sandy feline's face, yell a fierce "Take that!!1" and feel like a wizard. A mischevious yet playful wizard.

Action 2:
Usage No.1 out of 5 before the Wand breaks. No Accuracy Roll needed here(?). Will deal 2 auto-damage to either Lando or their veil.

Unlike the last time faced a Legendary Genie Platina stood firm, though not defiantly. Instead, the shiny bird couldn't help but look upon the Great Therian with pity and resolve.

"....Nothing should so thoroughly diminish or tarnish a Legend, but worry not Landerous, for we will free You from the grips of the Dark Shadows."

Hoopa's comment gets a brief nod from her, before she quickly declared the following: "Everyone, behind the Rock Pillars if you can! We do NOT want to be Smited by the overwhelming power They're gathering!" Then, specifically to the mischievous mythic: "Hoopa, if things go poorly or you deem it fitbe ready to summon our secret weapon! The risks are grave, but I rather take them than us all being put into one!"

Gallade also gets some quick advice, all of it based on what she'd gathered from her group's fight with Tornadous. "Gallade, my comrades have the capability of dealing with the barrier, but powerful Moves or ones that can bypass defenses work to a degree in bypassing it. Helping us with whatever supportive Moves you have until the Barrier falls might be for the best too. Do what you think is best."

All that said, Platina bolts for the Cover of the Rock Pillars ASAP, then takes aim at Landerous and starts gathering her inner power. Before her ill-fated tussle with Rhyperior she wouldn't have been able to attempt what she's about to do, but now that her Instincts sharper than ever she knows she can wield more of the might of her lineage!

Orders: Give some pointers to everyone, then proceed to do the following:
1) If it takes an Action to get behind Cover, then she'll focus on doing a Dragon Rage as her 2nd Action. If Dragon Rage wouldn't have enough Range to reach Lando, then go with Magnet Bomb
2) If it doesn't take an Action to get behind Cover, then she'll do Dragon Rage as her 1st Action, and Magnet Bomb as her 2nd Action. If Dragon Rage wouldn't have enough Range to reach Lando, go with a Single Action Magnet Bomb instead.

Dragon Rage and Magnet Bomb should have enough Range to be able to be used behind Cover (or at least Magnet Bomb), so this'll be what I'll do until the Barrier is broken and Lando isn't about to attempt a Nuke Move on the whole Party. Hope we succeed and things don't go completely to pot!

Moves:

Dragon Rage
Accuracy: DEX (4) + Fight (2) + Channel (0) - 2/4 Actions = 4/2D6 Accuracy
Damage: Set 2 Base Damage
Effect: Damage bypasses conventional Resistances and Defense Calculations, Ranged?

Magnet Bomb
Accuracy: Same as Dragon Rage, or if used as a Single Action it'd be 8D6 Accuracy
Damage: SPE (1) + 2 + STAB = 4D6 Base Damage
Effect: Always Accurate Move, Ranged

Note for Above: Platina has Keen Eye, so Pain or Accuracy Debuffs should NOT affect her Accuracy Rolls.

Daxter winces as he sees the menacing figure. He warily looks at his allies and carefully weighs his options. "I think... it's Intimidating us. Just looking at it is hurting my willpower to hit the sodding thing. Be careful. If this fight is anything like the Thundurus fight, we'll have to hit the barrier first. I'll do the Ice Fang and Bubble mix again. Maybe I could even squeeze a Scratch into it. Snom, get to cover and then unleash the Powder Snow, love. This big fucker is a Ground and Flying type. The two of us have the best chance of really hitting it. Rowlet, whatever you can hit it with, do it. Rolycoly, start with Rapid Spin. Try a Smack Down if you feel up to it after that. Just try to stay conscious, we'll need all of our power to come out of this. Hopefully, we can smash the shield quickly and smack into the Landorus before it can bring it up again. Rowlet and Rolycoly are gonna struggle to hit it anyway."

Move 1: Bubble
Acc: 3d6 Dex + 3d6 Fight + 2d6 Channel = 8d6
Dam: 3d6 Special + 2d6 Power + d6 STAB + 0d6 Torrent = 6d6
Added Effect: d6 for -1 Dex, Spread Move

Move 2: Ice Fang
Acc: 3d6 Dex + 3d6 Fight + 2d6 Brawl + d6 Dog Collar - d6 Accuracy = 8d6
Dam: 2d6 Strength + 2d6 Power = 4d6
Added Effect: 2d6 for flinch, 2d6 for freeze

Move 3: Scratch
Acc: 3d6 Dex + 3d6 Fight + 2d6 Brawl + d6 Dog Collar - 0d6 Pain = 9d6
Dam: 2d6 Strength + 2d6 Power = 4d6

Orders for Snom
1) Powder Snow
2) Find Cover

Orders for Rowlet
1) Up to him

Orders for Rolycoly

2) Smack Down

VS Shadow Therian Landorus Round 1

Kogeki zooms ahead, launching himself at Landorus before darting underneath him to deliver a blow from the opposite side!

Feint 1

The shroud of shadows and sand absorbs most of the blow and takes 1 Plot Device damage!
Total PDD: 1

Despite Kogeki's feint landing true from an unexpected angle, his attack is unable to pierce the all encompassing barrier and barely able to do more than scratch the Legendary pokemon.  Such is the absolute power of this creature.  He does not seem to care about idle threats.

Knowing he can't effectively attack right now, Gallade starts by immediately disengaging from Landorus.

Gallade Finds Cover 1
He runs behind one of the rock pillars and starts contemplating what his next move should be while his back is against the rock.

Landorus silently glares at everyone as he gathers more sand around himself, his paw planted firmly in place on the ground.

Landorus Charges 1

Platina follows Gallade's lead, darting behind cover.

Platina Finds Cover 1

Daxter leads his team on an offensive in a bid to try and do as much damage to the barrier and Landorus as they can.

Rolycoly bounces off of the barrier and does no damage, but his Dex increases by 1!

Rowlet, analyzing the situation tactically, opts to try attacking by throwing sharp leaves at Landorus to see what happens.

(5)(5)(2)(2)
2* + 2 + STAB - 3 - 2 Shroud = 2 - 2 = 0
(-)(-)
Predictably, Rowlet's attack fails to do anything to the Legendary pokemon.  He makes note of that.

Braixen braces herself as she prepares to attack.  "I've come this far.  This is no time to be afraid...even if he is very Intimidating..."  She takes a deep breath, points her stick at Landorus, and...

Total PDD: 3

Kee prepares himself, waiting for an attack to happen.  But Landorus keeps charging his attack instead of using it.

Karen brings her hands together to pray for everyone's safety and summon healing water from the ground below with her psychic powers.

Karen, Kee, and Kogeki are recovering slowly with Life Dew!

The shroud nullifies the secondary effect!

Landorus turns to face Snom briefly and snarls.  She utters a small 'eep!' before scurrying away to try and find some cover.

"Didn't like that ice, huh?  Well, let's see how well you stand up to this!  Face the wrath of your own kin's western winds!"

Hoopa throws two rings so that they're facing Landorus from his eastern side, and then summons a powerful, frigid wind from them to batter Landorus!

Hoopa's Bleakwind Storm 1
(6)(2)(5)
Hoopa's portal attack ignores Landorus's shroud completely!

Landorus takes 1 damage! 57/60 HP
(6)(2)(2)
Landorus is Frostbitten!
The shroud takes 1 PDD! Total: 4

Landorus braces himself against the winds, but to little avail.  The biting cold leaves traces frost on Landorus's whiskers, and the big cat's attention is now squarely on Hoopa.  Even in a primal rage, the Legendary pokemon can recognize a threat when he sees one.

"There's more where that came from!  Just you wait!"

"Maybe avoid taunting the very dangerous Legendary pokemon that's about to unleash whatever it is he's charging.  Friendly advice."

Gallade ducks back behind the rock between him and Landorus and begins chanting.

Platina briefly pokes her head out from behind the rock to breathe dragon fire at Landorus!  Just what kind of a bird pokemon is she?!

Dragon Rage 2

The dragon fire blasts through the barrier, dealing damage directly to Landorus!
Landorus takes 2 damage! 55/60 HP

(6)
Landorus takes 1 damage!
The shroud takes 1 PDD!
Total PDD: 5

Landorus's shroud of shadows and sand is frosted over and shatters!
Landorus looks really pissed off now.  He growls menacingly at everyone as the sand swirling around the paw embedded in the ground begins to speed up, creating a veritable hurricane of sand.

Almost everyone that can still act dives for cover.

Rowlet Finds Cover 2

Braixen Finds Cover 2

Kee's still waiting for that attack to land.  Still nothing though.

Snom Finds Cover 2

Hoopa Finds Cover 2

"I see you managed to take down the barrier, though I know not exactly how.  Regardless, it would be remiss of me to not take advantage of this opportunity!"

Gallade extends a bladed elbow, focuses, then very quickly slices through the air, creating a blade of psychic energy to strike Landorus with from a distance before ducking back behind the safety of the rock!

Landorus takes 3 damage! 52/60 HP

Landorus roars, but his concentration is absolute!  The sand swirling around his paw speeds up even more, going so fast that it starts glowing red hot!  Shadowy energy begins mixing with it, only adding to the volume of the attack!

...and then it explodes outwards, blasting everyone who isn't behind cover with red hot, burning sand glowing an ominous black!

Kee yells back, but not even he can hold off the full power of the Legendary pokemon's corrupted signature move!  He can only protect himself and one other random individual from the attack.

*rolls*

Kee and Landorus both take 1 damage from the Clashing energies, while Daxter is protected by Kee!
Kee: 3/4 HP
Landorus: 51/60 HP

Kogeki takes 2 Not Very Effective damage! 3/5 HP -1 Pain (3)(1)(6) ...and is Burned 1!

The rock pillars are destroyed by the attack, and they can no longer be used as cover!

Landorus pulls his paw out of the ground and roars at the now exposed pokemon that dared to attack him!

But what Landorus didn't expect was one of the pokemon he blasted to still be standing, completely unharmed!  And very much still capable of attacking!

Scratch 3

Landorus takes 1 damage! 50/60 HP

Landorus turns and snarls at Daxter, the pokemon that's been a consistent thorn in his side.

Landorus bellows, his claws extending as he prepares to attack more directly this time.  He stares at Hoopa, Gallade, Kee, Snom, and Daxter in particular.

The four standing stones of the Seasonal Shrine may also be used as cover from ranged attacks, but are only just large enough to protect one pokemon at a time.

Braixen looks to the group for some advice.  "Should I try hitting him with my Fire attacks?  I can do some damage over time with it, but it'll probably defrost him if I hit him with Fire."

VS Shadow Therian Landorus Round 2
Gallade: Healthy, Life Dew

Kogeki feel the sandstorm hit him hard. It was burning in his skin. He was not able to avoid get the burning effect.

And yet, this will not stop him in try his DAMN best. Kogeki after receiving Landorus attack, he was beside Daxter side. He look at the Aquarian Charmander and tell him. "Just in case I dont survive...I sorry. For everything. I wish I act different back there." Kogeki didnt formulate better his words, since he must be quick. He run towards the big enemy. He pass close to Platina and tell her his words.

"If I not survive...It was a honor to be a member of this team."

Kogeki knows nows his powers i not strong enough against Landorus. It was not strong enough before. And now is problably not enough to not even dent.

"Lets hope this works...BULK UP!"

Kogeki then flex his muscles, focusing the power of the aura though his skin, bones and muscles.

After (hopefull) increasing his strengh, he decided to go out with full power, trying to surpass Landorus with pure speed. With a classic combo of Quick Attack+Shadow Punch.

(Oh whoahw, that clash was successful!! Even if I managed to 'only' protect Daxter, it's still amazing to me that it worked be because of the imaginative visualization. Must have looked really cool, the soundwave Kee's emitting clashing with the red shadow-y sand Lando let loose.)

With an (exaggerated) disgust Kee shakes off some remaining shadow-y sand from his monochromatic fur, then immediately he's back at his determined stance. And he smiles, wildly so, menacingly. Whatever may come up, he's set on being one of the last ones - or better, the last one - to fall. He continues to do what he can do best - being loud af, delivering headbutts, and being a furry wizard. He doesn't seem to care whether he gets hurt, he's
1. counting on the blessing powers of LifeDew (he notes to give Karen his thanks for that later on).
2. set on pushing through to escape this odd Mirror World.
3. having some Reviver Seeds as the ace up his non-existant sleeve.
4. doesn't especially hang on himself, prefering for his people to be safe.

Platina, so focused on making sure she could actually utilize her legacy's Power and keeping her eye on the very scary Legend, ignored any reaction her Dragon Rage caused. She'll 'answer' any questions about it later, but now is the time to subdue a the Sand Dijn before it scours them all away!

For similar reasons Braixen's own efforts on the Wind Barrier is overlooked for the moment (Though it was interesting, no doubt), but their query gets them a quick look and a shake of her head. "Nay. We wanted the Great Landerous's Might weakened more than any small amounts of damage. The party is assault is fierce enough as it is too, and if need be our own Djin can unleash our own 'Hidden Power' . Feel free to use your own judgement as you like, though - you know your own Power better than I."

The shiny bird, though not the most attentive in the world, still has Keen Eyes, and could easily spot The Furious Therian ire-filled gaze upon her allies. She the had an idea, one that momentarily unnerved her, but with a shake of her feathers she mustered her Resolve and glared right at the Sand Genie.

"Trying to focus on my comrades, are we? Well, let's see if you can."

With a quick flap of her wings Platina rockets forward to Landerous, getting so close as to be right next to Their Head

Then, she screams.

"PAY. ATTENTION. TO. ME !!! "

Orders: Platina is going to use a Will Boosted (+ 1 Success) Metal Sound on Landerous in the most annoying and irritating way possible to try and draw their aggro, before spitting out another Dragon Rage and hitting them with a Steel Wing. The avatar of seasons might get one attack off on somebody, but they'll be paying for it big time.

Daxter doesn't spend much time dwelling on Kogeki's words right now.  "Just focus on getting through this.  We can talk about that later."  He then quickly issues basic orders to his team as the situation looks like it's about to get a lot more chaotic.  "Snom, Rolycoly, find some more cover and hit Landorus from there if you can!  Rowlet, let's go on the offensive and try to Flinch him!  We need to try and interrupt him!"

VS Shadow Therian Landorus Round 2

Gallade immediately steps out from behind the rubble of the rock pillars, defiantly standing in front of Landorus as the cat-like pokemon snarls menacingly.  "I won't let you harm them!"  He begins focusing his psychic powers, preparing to intercept Landorus's next attack!

Gallade holds back many of the rocks with his psychic powers, the Lucky Chant and Wide Guard protecting everyone from the worst of Landorus's attack, but a few rocks slip through the defensive wall, and he appears to be struggling as the barrage threatens to make him lose his concentration.  "I can't...keep this up...forever!  If you're weak to Ground...or Rock moves...get to cover...now!"

Platina, not needing to heed those instructions, flies right up to Landorus and screeches directly into his cat-like ears!

Homebrew Mechanic: Pokemon inflicted with Frostbite are twice as likely to be Frozen (roll a 5 or a 6 on the chance die).  This removes the Frostbite effect, and the target cannot be inflicted with Frostbite again until they are no longer Frozen.

The little Riolu flexes, preparing for the ultimate wombo combo!  Meanwhile, Snom scurries behind the only pillar she can hide behind: the one shrouded in shadows.  Unpleasant, but she doesn't exactly have a choice, and Landorus is still giving her the stink eye and being very Intimidating.

Landorus roars as Karen's psychic power assaults his mental defenses, his concentration absolutely destroyed by Platina's screeching.  The wind begins to pick up as sand starts to swirl around Landorus once more.

"Rooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!"

The roar changes to a much more common sounding yell as Landorus's form begins to change, the sand obscuring him as his silhouette shifts from that of a feline to something more humaniod.

And then the sand explodes outwards, accompanied by the familiar sound of breaking glass (or is it just the ice shattering?), sending everyone reeling and interrupting their remaining actions.  If there was any doubt that Landorus was more powerful than Tornadus and Thundurus, the very force of that explosion should leave little room for any.

The sand continues to blow through the shrine, carried by a sudden wind as the black storm overhead increases in intensity.  And barely visible through the sudden sandstorm, the party can see a much more humanoid Landorus trying to fight off the dark energy crackling up and down his body.  He convulses and twitches, screaming in rage and pain!

And then the screams stop, and he's suddenly surrounded by a massive amount of sand crackling with that same energy.  He refocuses on the party, his eyes darkened by a shadow that's paradoxically visible through the shroud.

Gallade recovers from being staggered first, defiantly facing off against the Legendary pokemon, a hand holding a bracelet on his wrist.  His words are inspiring.

"In times of crisis, humans will always come to this world's aid.  All of you, stand up!  Today, we fight!  And today, we will win!"

Gallade pulls a rainbow colored gem out of his bag, slams it into his bracelet, and is enveloped in a rainbow colored light!  It breaks mere moments later, and standing before them is not just a mere Gallade, but something more.  A flowing cape, a heroic white coloration, two large red arm blades...

He's transformed into Mega Gallade!

All negative buffs on Landorus are reset, all positive buffs on the party are reset, and a Sandstorm begins to rage!  Landorus gets -1 Strength, +1 Special, and +1 Dex when he changes form. He is also no longer Intimidating the party, as his ability has changed to ???!  He does not recover any HP!

Gallade gets a huge stat boost from his Rainbow Emera and Mega Evolves!

End of Round effects do not trigger when Landorus changes form!

Life Dew and Lucky Chant have been canceled, as well as Rolycoly's Dex buff and Kogeki's Bulk Up.  Landorus is no longer frozen and his lowered stats have returned to normal.  A Sandstorm is now raging.

Hoopa quickly evaluates the situation, looking up at the black storm and then back to Landorus, then asks the party a question.

"Okay, I think we're out of the mirror world now, and I think we might have also made Landorus angry.  So, time for my special trick?~"
