I know. Via "spoiling" I meant that I would find it rather unfair that he would own something that the regular player would never have, unless they'd engage in cheating. (Should have made it more clear in the first place, sorry) It would make Nep... even more of a cross-border commuter.

Ah. Well, the only reason I suggested a 6IV Duplicat in the first place was to show how obsessive Nep tends to be about IVs and breeding in general. The guy's devoted, that's for sure.

Plus, if Nep's prices for one pokemon were deemed too high, it'd be a decent compromise so the player wouldn't go broke in a day or two.

Now you have me thinking of what's going to happen to the nuclear pokemon that were caught. They will probably be kept in captivity for the rest of their lives.

Maybe even be used as evidence in a court of law after CURIE wakes up, and has her mind healed enough to be able to testify.

Hmm... I suppose if Nep had to be somewhat lawful in his intentions... I guess he could be trying to breed nuclear pokemon with a secondary goal in mind: to show the world (or at least Tandor) that stable nuclear pokemon are not only safe to have wandering the isolated area (prolly an island), but having a strong one would be valuable when the power plants have to be checked out. Not only can they withstand the strong radiation in the area (such as in Zeta and probably Omicron), but they could reliably fend off any wild nuclear pokemon in the area. Using normal pokemon would put the mons at too much risk.

Seriously, at least one of your pokemon from the endgame should have become really ill or died from all the radiation in the volcano. And that's before taking Urayne's ability into consideration.

Cons:
Purifying recently caught nuclear pokemon would work as well, though you wouldn't know how powerful they are until you catch them.
There are stable nuclear pokemon already that can protect you.
Too small a pool of people who would have legit in-game benefits from having nuclear pokemon.
Team Rocket or the like would probably steal all of Nep's pokemon.

And Nep would prolly ignore all of those cons just because he really, *really* wants that shiny nuclear Eevee.

Last thought: if you just need at least one stable nuclear parent in order to breed for a nuclear type, then perhaps Nep doesn't necessarily have to have his post near a power plant. It could be out in East Tandor, on one of the unknown islands. It would be a safer place for breeding, especially if the nuclear hatchlings were stable right off the bat.

i like the idea of adding a nuclear breeding spot in East Tandor. why? because Angelure Town is supposedly the HQ of the Pirates in the game. or something like that.

adding a Daycare there would mean you can breed nuclear pokemon without legal issues and have a breeding place without having to move to the mainland.

much like how the Sevii Islands work in the Gen 3 Games. maybe after beating the pirate questline.

While its all good debating the morality of breeding Nucmons, at the end of the day, actively making more of them is objectively a bad thing for EVERYONE. They ruin the environment, kill and/or corrupt the entire ecosystems they inhabit, are a constant safety hazard toward any non-corrupted Pokémon/human, and are just a faaaaar to tempting target for Team Rocket groups to ignore. I mean, Urayne was developed as a weapon by those very group, for Arceas shake! While I typically humor/allow some wilder idea, I hold a hard line against breeding any corrupt Nucmons, especially if it ends up making more species of corrupt Nuclears.

There are already the likes of N-Arbok and N-Gararydos mencing Tandor; do you really want to introduce something like Nuclear Beliaddon to the mix?! Bloody hell... Even if I hypothetically accept the idea of breeding corrupt Nucmons, I don't agree putting it behind several choices that would potentially bar you from having access to the service for that post-game save file. If you have to have corrupt breeding, it has to be all or nothing: either you let the player have at it with making more abominations (With or without randomized IVs), or just telling the horde of breeders "No." Otherwise, the practice is just willfully obtuse, and better time could be spent on other things than figuring out how to unlike the unholy opportunity.

Just say no to Corrupt Nuclear Breeder, please? Its for the good of Tandor and everyone's health, really...

corrupt nuclear pokemon are a result, but not a natural ocurrence so by definition they should be sterile for that matter. or able to breed, at the cost of producing a non nuclear offspring. if the nuclear corrupted pokemon was cleaned at the lab then it makes sense to allow it to stay in the day care, but it wont produce any nuclear offspring.

pure nuclear mons on the other hand are a natural ocurrence of the nuclear environment. you cant get them from any other place for that matter and some of them have a low chance of appearing (xenomite for example) so it makes sense that breeding them and producing nuclear offspring is fine, at least, compared to corrupted pokemon.

its still sounds like a shady business so im still on the position that unlocking nuclear breeding must be something related to East Tandor which is more of a lawless place compared to West Tandor which is under constant scrutiny by the Pokemon Rangers. maybe, just maybe, it could be presented by the hand of scientist working for Interpol, studying pure nuclear pokemon so it can report more info on the matter to the international organization.
