[Suggestion] Add Oddish + Evolution forms to Tandor

Too much of a hassle, they say... *is silently glad that these stones are purchasable at all*
Uh, anyway, I wouldn't mind either if those stones one day are, well, "out of stock" and only available via berry-trade. My playable chara is sort of a gardener anyways, so... must be some genes from his father showing through.

What's more of a "hassle" for you then, when it comes to obtaining stones, growing + watering berry plants or changing the computer's date and rush to the Department Store, only to change it back after you got what you came for? (That's an honest question)

Both, to be honest. I never really had much use for berries, seeing as I had more than enough dosh from re-battling the various trainers to buy as much Full Heals as I could carry, on top of the Revives and Hyper Potions. Growing berries, aside from the various Stat boosting berries, Leppa's, and EV berries, is too tedeious task for me, when I could be spending my time breeding or training my 'mons. Add to that the fact the getting these berries is a tiring task indeed, and the whole prospect of berry farming is a turn off. Which is sad, seeing as I loved berry farming in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum.

As for the Department Store Evo Items, while I find the concept a neat way to get people constantly involved in the game, I find it bothersome for that same reason. I much rather would have preferred their just being multiple Evolution item vendor throughout the game, like the various move tutors before they were removed/consolidated. Basic Evo items could be found in Department stone, advance evo stones could be found in Tsukumi or Snowbank Town, while trade/Held Item evo items could be found in Veni City, just to throw a few ideas out there.

While traveling to all these different place would seem to be a hassle, in practice in would be far more covenant to do it this way. Early evo items would be available around the time you get the Pokémon that needs them, late evo items are gotten around the time you starting getting those Pokemon, and the trade/held evo item location is smack dab in the middle of the other two evo item location, making it rather easy to set up shop there for trades/EV training. It is very unlikely that you have need for everything in one place, day by day, when its faster to just zip around the map and buy all the items you need.

Its one of the reason why I dislike the removal of the many move tutors, as while it is now more covenant to find all the move you need in one place, those tutors are found very late into the game, leaving hardly any time for a person to find a use for the bloody moves. Add to it that it cost items that are rare and hard to farm, and its just not worth it use those guys. The old system had its problems, sure, but replacing it entirely just seem lazy and cumbersome to me.

Hope that explains my bizarre logic to you, my dear. I am not always easy to understand, so sometime I have to clarify my position. Tell me your thoughts about it~!

Thanks for explaining C: Uh, thoughts... Well, you know, I never really looked at the thing from that view, but now that you say it, it all makes so much sense... I never grow any berrys except those EV-reducing ones for the same reason.

Traveling to various places to gather needed stuff, like those evo stones sounds pretty neat, to be honest... Remember how in later official games the second cashier sells TMs at various places? The se could be done with evolution-items. Check which particular items you need, then fly over to the place(s) they sell it and gather all in one session. Now compare that with checking the wiki on which particular day Bealbeach's Store sells your desired item(s), change computer's date, gather your item(s), then save and change it back before continue.

Oh, and don't get me started on those shards the Move Tutors want in return... spend too much time just to get Ice Fang on that competitive Sheebit I hatched... then see that this move doesn't even get inherited to its offsprings. *cough* Never again

Ah, but on the other hand, where would the fun and actual value of some items/moves if every last thing would be easy to get and player-friendly... ヽ( ̄~ ̄ )ノ

I agree with the idea to add a Pokémon who is able to evolve via Leaf Stone.

What about Dawn stone? Wiki says there is no Pokémon who is able to evolve by it.
At least, I think each evolution stone should have at least one Pokémon who is able evolve by it.

Well, that two stones that are polla noodles, in terms of their usefulness. I wonder if the original devs planed on having more Pokémon that used these currently useless stones, or they just put them there for some unknown reason?

That might have been the case-there's one scrapped Fakemon that's flower-based.

TechSkylander1518: Why it was scrapped? (I am curious.)

Without using for evolution, they (the two stones) can be solved for money only, right?

Pretty much. Without any solid usage evo wise, all they are good for is taking up space in your bag or selling them for some dosh. Kinda a waste, but hey, ideas get scraped pre-production all the time!

there are many grass types that could fill the niche for the leaf stone, Vileplume, Victreebel and Exeggutor are the best examples, 2 are grass/poison the other is grass/psychic that's a combination not avaliable in Uranium.

for the sun stone niche there's Lilligant and Sunflora, both pure grass. i dont mention Heliolisk because its normal/electric, a combination that its already present with Kinetmunk.

for any choice this would up the pokedex to 204-205. maybe in the case the game isnt taken down, given the time, a national dex could be implemented. then it should make sense having stacked all those evo stones.

That a tall order for a game that isn't even done with bug fixing and post game content. The dev team has not even implemented all the Legendaries in the game, though they should be working hard to change that (If they are not taking a well deserved break, that is). Adding more Pokémon and a National Dex, while it sounds easy to do, runs into 3 problems: What movesets are they going to have, How is the player supposed to acquire them, and the Inevitiatble oversaturation of the game with 'old' Pokémon.

While the 1st problem doesn't sound that daughting, keep in mind that several of the old mons that made it into this game don't have the exact same movesets they do in the base games, making it a bit of a headache for devs to decide what goes on each Pokémon. There is also coding abilities and their interaction with other Pokémon, but that is another issue entirely. Secondly, where is the player going to get all these Pokémon? If the devs just liberally sprinkle them throughout the game, then each route/area would be bursting with Pokémon, making finding a specific few quite hard. If that is not the approach, the devs would have to create entire new areas just for these new Pokémon, as well as Towns/Events for the player to interact with while catching them all (In order to keep them interested/invested). Finally, adding ALL of the Pokémon from past/current generations would just completely overshadow the stars of the show: Tandor Pokémon. People would feel less inclined to explore the possibilities of each new species when they can just fall back on reliable, tried and tested 'mons. All these issues don't even take into the account of all the time and effort the devs would have to code, test, and fix these additions.

Personally, while I'm a bit saddened by some items non-usage in the game, I'm okay with it, and rather accept that then add more Pokémon to this game. The devs already have a hard enough time as it is polishing the Uranium we already have....
