Well we have their IP address, which is what Cody used to up security.

WAIT. I have an idea, if you have their IP adresses, check if referred users and the bot's IPs match! That way, if the bots are being sent from the same place as the IP we can determine the user helping it! (Possible flaw is that they thought ahead and the bots are from a different IP adress, or if they chose a random name. Another thing to try isperhaps blocking the IP adresses??? If that's possible???)

But wait, even if that were to work, would banning the source even do anything? I mean, anyone could just sign up

We made it so there's a limit on how many accounts can come from one IP address, so that will reduce the chances of someone shepherding an army of bots from one computer.

You know, thinking about all these spambot made me realize something: Their rampage was the most active the forums have been for a long time, if we discount the hype that is always generated by WT Events. Kinda sadly ironic, really...

It's a weird thing, indeed, my dear. Just as I was a bit gloomy over the Forum - a place I began to really enjoy - being almost inactive if putting aside Iron's RPG, the activity raised again. First in general, the the SpamBot Attack happened.

You know, thinking about all these spambot made me realize something: Their rampage was the most active the forums have been for a long time, if we discount the hype that is always generated by WT Events. Kinda sadly ironic, really...

Hmmm, to be honest i feel like it's because we don't have new burst! Something to renew the feeling of excitement, I remember the roleplaying as pokemon forum was really good (I personally enjoyed rp'ing on it very much) But at least two of the people who participated near the middle dipped out. And that isn't counting those at the begining.

A good example of something that made everyone hyped is the new pathfinder rp on the roleplay forums. But i suggest that if we want more activity, we SHOULD try to make more creative projects.

That would be great, but we would have to find a way to get member from either the Discord chats or newbies into the forums, and inspire them to contribute to the forums. The only idea I have is to keep hosting Pokerole games or DnD style game here based on Pokémon, or pay for artists to drum up some publicity! However, if the forums become TOO popular, it risks being spotted by the Big N, and we all know what it does to fangames of its IPs...

I believe he means possibly drawing some art that would make people want to joing the forum in exchange for some money (or hugs.). For example: lets saaay a bunch of trainers chilling in a nice calm room with their laptops/phones open on te forum while their smol starters are sleeping

I was thinking more along the lines of hiring professional level artist to draw artwork specifically for Uranium and the forums to draw attention, then either hold contests or tournaments to see who would win a commission from them (Paid by someone else, not the winner, obviously). Creative Pokémon and Pokémon fans will be drawn in by the art, and are more likely to stick around and make their own works themselves!

Another things that might breath more life is the game being completely updated and fleshed out, and being advertised as the 'Enriched Uranium' version, like what the did with the mainstream Pokémon remakes. Given that is a long time coming on that front, its going to take awhile before we see anything like that happening!
