A Shiny Compendium
#21
@Bobbie

I would think it only took about less than 50 resets, but keep in mind; this was after a very long period without meeting shinies, including several Pokeradar hunts, Masuda method egg hatching and wild mon grinding which all in all ate up at least 12 hours. Therefore, I reasoned to myself, after these many failed attempts, my chances of soft resetting a legendary would be higher.

The overworld sprite does not change. So yes, you must keep engaging it in combat.

Man I wish I had your luck in shinies. I have a good variety of shiny pokemon but I really want a shiny Seika however the game keeps trolling me. I found a shiny male Sponee right before the fight with Seika and then the Seika is shiny! After that, I found another shiny male Sponee, a shiny male Smore, and a shiny male Tricwe..... Cry  I'm so close to calling it quits...

At least you have a great shiny bug team Smile

Wow, shiny Seika :/ That's probably up there amongst the unfortunate shinies you can't catch collection.

I guess, I now have three shiny male Sponee, one shiny male Tricwe, and one shiny male smore.. One more and I can have a team of these guys..
http://imgur.com/yrpDc3L Here is the image of the shiny Seika.. Didn't know how to screencap at the time so forgive the quality. Felt so wrong to kill it. I've encountered my shinies in the official games but this the first time I ever had to kill one.. and it felt bad.  Cry

A new shiny!

...Well. To clarify...

A NUCLEAR shiny.

Hard work pays off, bois and gurls.

Now named after Shimada Haruka.

...Er... any good movesets for this guy? I mean, these are meant to be tanks, but with a Nuclear typing....

Nooooooooooo, that's even worse because shiny Arboks are one of the coolest out there....

I've actually gotten pretty lucky, caught two shinies so far (a Baashaun that is now my Baariette in my primary team and a Unymph that I evolved into a Harptera), and I've only failed one (A nuclear Tancoon in a double-battle style encounter. That really did hurt...)

This is one of the many reason that I hate Nuzlockes, but if you want the challenge that badly, go for it~

I don't think I would ever be that good in Nuzlocke mode because for me I like making my Pokemon faint in the regular mode anyway and it helps me find out a trick to beat certain gym leaders for me. Some people do the Nuzlocke way without hitting the Nuzlocke challenge mode anyway.
