MAJOR PROBLEM.
|
|
I really only have 2 suggestions left.
Thing 1: Try running the patcher one more time to ensure the patch was applied properly. Thing 2: Start fresh and install Uranium again, making sure you're running the most updated version of the game. This has solved similar problems in the past and will not affect your save in any way

As for the first one we're trying it right now,if it doesn't work we'll reset, kevlar isnt too far away. But thanks cody! Best administrator N/A.

Delete Uranium entirely from their computer, reinstall and repatch (don't forget the neocube.ini), and start from sratch. If that does not work, then something on the computer is causing the save to corrupt. In which case, their is not much you can do at that point, but find another computer to play on...

If you're worrying about how hard it would be to help them, I can think of 2 ways: 1: redirect them to @ttgjailbreak installer on reddit; and 2: use TeamViewer, which give you control over their laptop for a short period of time so you can see what's on there and do it yourself instead of having to tell them what to do over Skype.

I'll see what i can do. But thanks!

Teamviewer is a great tool! After downloading and installing it, Teamviewer will give you a temporary ID and password. You share that information with the person you want to connect with and that lets the person take remote control of your PC. If for any reason you wish to terminate the connection, you just close Teamviewer and the person can't Re-connect EVER unless you give them a new ID and Password. Super convenient, super safe.
If that's not the path you want to take then as Monkey stated earlier you would be best deleting your Pokemon Uranium Folder (Or simply installing the game in a separate location) and try updating to the most current version again. Essentially what we're trying to do in using these steps is determine 2 things. 1. A corrupted file in your Uranium Folder is throwing a false error before your save is loaded, causing the Corrupt save error Or 2. The save is actually damaged and can't be used.

Ok, I think it'll be best resetting by deleting the folder and redownloading it. But i want to ask 3 things: 1.If i choose to download it, do i delete patcher.exe? because @ttgjailbreak 's link seems not to contain it, and that caused some problems for us last time. causing us to download uranium 1.0 in addition to the updated version provided by the link. 2.If i was to try and find the folder, do you have any suggestions as to what i should do to find the folder? like a specific set of instructions. Because i have no idea where to look. 3.Which here would be the best choice of action, repairing or simply redownloading?(Remember that progress isn't much of an issue, she's at kevlar, so it takes 30 minutes tops to get there. So losing data is no problem if the way to do it is easier.) And also, though it's a bit too much to ask, could i have a set of instructions on redownloading/what to do if it doesnt work. Because i have downloaded uranium on two computers, but this is new to me because it never happened before. Again, sorry to ask so much. |
