Here's a little Christmas story, for the festive mood.
A remake of the story of the Grinch, but it's all good.
Typing like Seuss has buggered all my lines.
Now everything I write I end in rhymes.
Every Tandorian in Tandor liked Christmas a lot...
But MonkeyKing,who lived under a rock north of Tandor, did NOT!
MonkeyKing hated Christmas! The whole Christmas season!
Now, please don't ask why. No one quite knows the reason.
It could be his fur often itched with rash.
It could be, perhaps, that he wore a tight Focus Sash.
But I think that the most likely reason of all,
May have been that his heart was two sizes too small.
Whatever the reason, His heart or his Sash,
He stood there on Christmas Eve, hating Alola Ash,
Staring down from Lathanite Cave with a sour, Tubjaw frown,
At the warm lighted windows down Nowtoch town.
For he knew every Tandorian down in Tandor well,
Was busy now, hanging their Soothe Bell.
"And they're hanging their Bells!" he snarled with a sneer,
"Tomorrow is Christmas! It's practically here!"
Then he growled, with his Monkey fingers nervously drumming,
"I MUST find some way to stop Christmas from coming!"
For tomorrow, he knew, all the Tandorian daughters and sons,
Would wake bright and early. They'd rush for their mons!
And then! Oh, the noise! Oh, the Cheer!
Cheer! Cheer! Cheer!
That's one thing he hated! The CHEER!
CHEER! CHEER! CHEER!
Then the Tandorians, young and old, would sit down to a feast.
And they'd play! And they'd play! And they'd PLAY!
PLAY! PLAY! PLAY!
They would play Ninja-surfing, and catch the rare shiny Duplicat.
Which was something MonkeyCat go full Zubat!
And THEN They'd do something he liked least of all!
Every Trainer down in Tandar, the tall and the small,
Would stand close together, with Soothe bells ringing.
They'd stand hand-in-hand. And the Tandorians would start singing!
They'd sing! And they'd sing! And they'd SING!
SING! SING! SING!
And the more MonkeyKing thought of this Christmas Bing,
The more the Grinch thought, "I must stop this whole thing!"
"Why, for three years I've put up with it now!"
"I MUST stop this Christmas from coming! But HOW?"
Then he got an idea! An awful idea!
THE MONKEYKING GOT A WONDERFUL, AWFUL IDEA!
"I know just what to do!" The MonkeyKing laughed in his throat.
And he made a quick Santy Claus hat and a coat.
And he chuckled, and clucked, "What a great Tikiki trick!"
"With this coat and this hat, I look just like Saint Nick!"
"All I need is a Kiricorn..." The MonkeyKing looked around.
But, since Kiricorn are scarce, there was none to be found.
Did that stop the old MonkeyKing? No! The MonkeyKing simply said,
"If I can't find a Kiricorn, I'll make do with what I've got!"
So he called out his Chimaconda. Then he took out his Destiny Knot,
And he tied a big horn on the top of his head.
THEN He loaded some bags and threw out the old china,
On a ramshackle sleigh And he hitched up old Chima.
Then MonkeyKing said, "Giddap!" And the sleigh started down,
Toward the homes where the Tandorians asnooze in Nowtoch town.
All their windows were dark. Quiet snow filled the air.
All the Tandorians were all dreaming Sweet Dreams without care.
When he came to the first little house on the square.
"This is stop number one," the old Monkey Claus hissed,
And he climbed to the roof, empty bags in his fist.
Then he slid down the chimney. A rather tight chimney.
But, if Santa could do it, then so could the Monkey.
He got stuck only once, for a moment or two.
Then he stuck his head out of the fireplace flue.
Where the little Tandorian stockings all hung in a row.
"These stockings," he grinned, "are the first things to go!"
Then he slithered and slunk, with a smile most unpleasant,
Around the whole room, and he took every present!
Choice Specs! And Bicycles! Everstone! Eviolite!
Stardust! Hard Stone! Expert Belt! And Drillganite!
And he stuffed them in bags. Then the Monkey, very nimbly,
Stuffed all the bags, one by one, up the chimney!
Then he slunk to the Berry Pouch. He took the Whos' berries!
He took Aspears and Wacans! He took those that looked like cherries!
He cleaned out that pouch as quick as a Mega Inflagetah.
Why, that Monkey even took a copy of Pokemon Uranium beta!
Then he stuffed all the items up the chimney with glee.
"And NOW!" grinned the Monkey, "I will stuff up the tree!"
And the Monkey grabbed the tree, shoving with a scowl,
When he heard a small sound like the coo of a Splendifowl.
He turned around fast, and he saw a small Tandorian!
Little Spiritmon, standing there in exclamation.
The Monkey had been caught by this tiny Uranium-er,
Who'd got out of bed for a cup of Fresh Water.
He stared at the Monkey and said, "Santy Claus, why,”
"Why are you taking our Christmas tree? WHY?"
But, you know, that old Monkey was so smart and so slick,
He thought up a lie, and he thought it up quick!
"Why, my sweet little tot," the fake Santy Claus lied,
"There's a light on this tree that won't light on one side."
"So I'm taking it home to my workshop, my dear."
"I'll fix it up there. Then I'll bring it back here."
And his fib fooled the child. Then he patted his head,
And he got him a drink and he sent her to bed.
And when Spiritmon went to bed with her cup,
HE went to the chimney and stuffed the tree up!
Then the last thing he took was the Charcoal for their fire!
Then he went up the chimney, himself, the old liar.
On their walls he left nothing but hooks and some wire.
Nothing was left in the house anymore,
Save a crumb that was even too small for a Smore.
Then he did the same thing To the other Tandorian's houses
All the while grinning like the evil-lest louses!
It was quarter past dawn... All the Tandorians, still a-bed,
All the Tandorians, still asnooze shen he packed up his sled,
Packed it up with their presents! The Pretty Ribbons! Their pennies!
The Spell Tags! The Mega Stones! Their badges! The Shinies!
Three thousand feet up! Up the crater of Mt. Lathanite,
He rode with his load to the tiptop to ignite!
"PoohPooh to the Tandorian!" he was evilly humming.
"They're finding out now that no Christmas is coming!"
"They're just waking up! I know just what they'll do!"
"Their mouths will hang open a minute or two,
Then the Tandorians down in Tandor will all cry BooHoo!"
"That's a noise," grinned the Monkey, "That I simply MUST hear!"
So he paused. And the Monkey put his hand to his ear.
And he did hear a sound rising over the snow.
It started in low. Then it started to grow.
But the sound wasn't sad! Why, this sound sounded merry!
It couldn't be so! But it WAS merry! VERY!
He stared down at Nowtoch! The Monkey popped his eyes!
Then he shook! What he saw was a shocking surprise!
Every Tandorian in Tandor, the tall and the small,
Was singing! Without any presents at all!
He HADN'T stopped Christmas from coming! IT CAME!
Somehow or other, it came just the same!
And the Monkey, with his monkey-feet ice-cold in the snow,
Stood puzzling and puzzling: "How could it be so?"
"It came without Pretty Ribbons! It came without Spell Tags!"
"Every Shiny, item and Mystery Gift is here in my bag!
And he stood there confused, for three hours or more.
Then the Monkey thought of something he hadn't before!
"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a Pokemart."
"Maybe Christmas...perhaps... simply comes from the heart!"
And what happened then? Well...in Tandor they say,
That the Monkey's small heart grew three sizes that day!
And when his heart expanded he began to run,
He whizzed with his load through the bright Morning Sun
And he brought back the toys! And the food for the feast!
And he, HE HIMSELF! The Monkey carved the roast beast!
As for my request, it's a Shiny for me, of course.
And in return, I can spare a pretty pink little horse.
