[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
Dax followed the group into the next room, and took a startled step back. All three of these Pokemon were bad news for his moves. Until now, he was great against every opponent because everything just... Rolled over to water moves. An actual challenge was a welcome surprise. Dax stretched his neck. Time to get started.

Action: Bubble on all three opponents and Scratch on Klink

Bubble Accuracy: 2d6 Dex + 2d6 Fight + d6 Channel - 2d6 multi-action = 3d6
Scratch Accuracy: 2d6 Dex + 2d6 Fight + d6 Channel - 4d6 multi-action = d6
Bubble Damage on Pumpkaboo: 3d6 Special + 2d6 Power + d6 STAB - 1 NVE = 6d6 - 1
Bubble Damage on Klink: 3d6 Special + 2d6 Power + d6 STAB = 6d6
Scratch Damage: 2d6 Strength + 2d6 Power +1d6 Dog Collar - 1 NVE= 5d6 - 1
Other: 1d6 for Dex drop for all opponents

Just curious, wanna see whether it has any effects..." (And whether the Pearl 'reacts', as in 'responds' to her psychic skills in some way)

"Um, okay?"  Karen reaches out and touches the pearl...
...and nothing happens.  Karen looks questioningly at Kee.  "...was something supposed to happen?" (...)

Ziggy Kee responds to her with a non-chalant smile and ©'It is no big deal'-gesture with a claw of his. "No idea whether somethin' was s'pposed t'happen or nat. I just wanted to try, thanks for yar heeeeelp!~❤" Back into his guitar bag the Pearl goes. It's pretty, it's shiny, and it's big! Betcha two brothers in particular may be interested in it, hehehehe~

Quote:(...)...oh, actually, there's one other thing in here...
More wild pokemon!  A Klink and two Pumpkaboo all turn their attention towards the party as soon as they enter the room!

Moving onwards to the next tile brings Ziggy Kee back to 4HP all naturally.
How neat and convenient!...

...Especially once they're MOAR battling and fighting ahead, he's super-hyped and thrilled to bits about having gotten into yet another challenge! This time it's against two pumpkin-like spectres and a metal-y gear-mon. He immediately gets into a ready-to-pounce stance and starts growling at them lowly, daaaring them to come at him!! ( ÒωÓ)و☆

As long as he's still, uh, 'fairly young' in terms of Pokemon, he's going to trust in a skill of his that lets him do what he can do well: MaKInG sOme nOIse!!1!

Accuracy Roll Kee's Snarl: 2 Dext + 2 Fight + 0 Channel - 1 Inaccuracy + 2 SingleAction Bonus = 5d6
Target: Pumpkaboo A & B
Damage Roll: 2 Special + 2 Power + STAB = 4d6 +1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: Soundbased, will autolower the target's Special by 1. Will hit both pumpkin-mon.

Due to his Typing, he's compltely immune to any Ghost-Type's attacks they may launch at him.

Initially Pyra had a light smile as she saw the latest mob of the M.D. raring to fight her and her friends as they entered the Room, eager herself to teach the denezins a lesson in respect. More Fights = Greater Self-Improvement for all, after all, and punishing those foolish enough to court trouble with her friends always cheers up!

However, the lil' fiendess was quick to pick up the Pumpkaboo were Ghost types , and her smile immediately flattened into a straight line as she stared menacingly at them. Oh, more spirits have come to harass herself and those she holds dear. Very well.

A second later, Pyra bursts forward towards the twin gourds, leaping at the nimbler of the two with her jagged teeth beared and an expression of cold, cold malice at odds with the trails of sparks coming from the corners of her mouth. Her message was clear: Begone, or be destroyed. Intimidate triggered: - 1 STR to All Foes!

Orders: Pyra will attempt to Bite Pump. A , then follow up with an Ember on it if its still conscious the next time her turn comes around. If Kogeki uses Bite as his first Action on Pump. A and it Flinches, however, transition the Bite onto Pump. B instead to try and Flinch hax both the Ghosties, then Ember on either Pump. later (Priority goes to the faster one) or the Klink if both of them are Fainted. If Pump A. is KOed by Kogeki's and Kee's attacks before Pyra can get to it, she'll focus fire Pump B instead with her Actions (or Klink if [i]both Pumps get cleaned before her first/second Action). That should do it, so let's slice and mince up so more Ghosts and Steel types!

Moves

Bite
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (3) + Brawl (1) - 2 Actions = 4D6 Base Dice
Damage: STR (2) + 2 + STAB + SE = 5D6 + 1 Base Damage
Effect: *Flinch 3*

Ember
Accuracy: 3D6 Base Dice
Damage: Same as Bite
Effect: *Burn 1 [1]*

While Kogeki was been guiding everyone, Kogeki was been thinking about some of his memories in his old life. The way he swing his blade. The feeling of a weapon in his hands. And this kind of thing. Trying to remember how he was a human capable of fight a few Pokemon. His old techniques.

While those memories flourish little by little in his mind, Kogeki see some enemies in front of him. Two Ghosts and one Steel Pokemon. As by instict Kogeki quick grab his only blade at the moment: His Kunai. With both of his hands he grab the kunai, and try to remember how it was the feeling of the grab. He take a deep breath, closing his eyes for a second, and putting right his tight the blade. He then open his eyes, and launch himself into battle! He put his own Will with that Blade Strike!

Guess its time to raise some of Kogeki old sword techniques. I raising Kogeki Weapon speciality from 0 to 2 using 12 XP (6 to raise from 0 to 1 and another 6 to raise 1 to 2. 6+6=12 XP).

Action: Bite on Pumkaboo A and a Weapon strike on Klink. If Pumkaboo A be still not fainted he will use the weapon strike on Pumkaboo A.

Bite: Dex(2)+Fight(2)+Brawl(2)-Actions(2)=4D6
Damage: Power(2)+STR(2)+SE(1)=4D6+1

Kunai Strike: Dex(2)+Fight(2)+Weapon(2)+Will Point (1)-Actions(4)=2D6+Will Point(1)
Damage: Power(2)+STR(2)=4D6
Effect: Can be used both as a range or melee weapon.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

Wild Pokemon v2 Round 1

Kogeki and Pyra both lunge forward with fangs bared, ready to chomp on the wild pokemon before they can act, and hopefully keep them from acting!

Bite 1 on Pump. A
(6)(4)(4)(4)
(6)(5) Pumpkaboo A takes 3 damage! 2/5 HP -2 Pain
(6)(1)(3) ...and Flinches!

Bite 1 on Pump. B
(5)(5)(1)(1)
(4)(3)(4) Pumpkaboo B takes 3 damage! 2/5 HP -2 Pain
(6)(1)(3) ...and Flinches!

Meanwhile, Klink's two gears spin around each other, generating static electricity to blast Kogeki!

Thunder Shock on Kogeki
2 Dex + 2 Fight + 0 Channel + 2 Action = 6
(6)(2)(5)(6)(5)(2)
2 Pow + 2 Spe - 1 Sp Def = 3
(6)(4)(2) Kogeki takes 2 damage 3/5 HP -1 Pain
(1)

Kee keeps repeating his same old trick, intent on knocking out both ghosts in one fell swoop.

Snarl on Pump A and B
(4)(1)(1)(4)(5)
(5)(1)(1) Both Pumpkaboo take 1 damage 1/5 HP -3 Pain
-1 Special for both Pumpkaboo

...but the Zigzagoon's snarl echoes around the empty room, dampening the effectiveness of the attack.  The first Pumpkaboo still recoils from both the force of the earlier bite and the shrill sound assaulting its ears.

Flinch A 1

Daxter sprays Bubbles again!  The Pumpkaboo don't look particularly worried at first, but Daxter's reserves of Special power fill the room with many bubbles, and the sheer numbers overwhelm all three opponents!

Bubble 1
(6)(6)(1)
(6)(3)(3)(4)
Both Pumpkaboo take 1 damage and faint!
Klink takes 2 damage! 3/5 HP -1 Pain
(2)

As both of the targets that Karen could have dealt meaningful damage to have been defeated, Karen changes tactics and focuses all her strength on the last one.  Unfortunately, this isn't a good matchup for her at all, and Klink just shrugs off the attack.

Confusion on Klink
(6)(3)(6)(5)(5)
(6)(1)(1) No damage.
(4)

Out of actions, however, Klink finds itself in a very similar situation to the Magnemite from the previous room, as half of the party begins moving faster than it can react.

Kogeki slides a sharp blade between the two gears, leaving deep scratch marks on the metal.  When he really focuses on how to strike with his weapon, some of the basic techniques do come back to Kogeki's memory.  However, it's only the basics, and the marks left by the blade are jagged and a little clumsy looking.

Kunai Strike 2
(6)(6*)
(5)(6) Klink takes 2 Lethal damage! 1/5 HP -3 Pain

And Pyra focuses her fire breath into the palm of her gloved hand, then throws a small flame at both of Klink's faces!

Ember 2
(6)(3)(2)
(5)(2)(1) Klink takes 2 damage and faints!
(3)

Everyone gets 3 exp for defeating these wild pokemon!

*rolls*

Upon their defeat, Klink baaaaarely manages to hold onto consciousness.  One of the gears clearly looks like it's passed out, but the other uses its one good eye to silently stare at the party from the ground, waiting to see what will happen to it now that it has been defeated by these adventurers...

Karen kneels down in front of the wild pokemon, a little worried after seeing how merciless the attacks Pyra and Kogeki used on it looked.  "...are you okay?"

Klink just silently stares at the shiny Ralts, however.

"Hang on, I...I think I can heal you.  Just...give me a second.  I need to concentrate..."

Karen brings her hands together in front of her, as if in prayer, and begins focusing.  What does everyone else do?

Dax just watches as Karen does her thing. He hoped that she could fix up the Klink, because he didn't like the idea of being responsible for such a needless death. There's no need for more violence. They had a fight, and they won. No harm done. Everyone can move on.

Kogeki while the battle started with a perfect synchronized attack, move quickly with Pyra, bitting hard one of the Ghost Pokemon, making sure it will not escape.

Then the gears from Klink came to life and a electric volt fly towards him. He try to defend the attack with his Kunai trying to minimize the damage, but remember it is metal and the shock simple travel in the blade and make him receive the attack.

He closed his eyes for a second but quick open them when he hear the Snarl from Kee and the Bubbles from Daxter finishing off the Ghost Pokemon duo.

Karen try to use Confusion and failing in cause damage, and Kogeki rushing forward his Kunai in hand. He still didn't remember everything but he knows the basics and makes sure how to hit hard. With a hand in the cable and the other in the end he jammed the Kunai where it could be the throat of the Steel Pokemon. The technique is not perfect despite be deep and the cuts is jagged and clumsy.

"Kurayami Arts: Anubis Pierce!"

Kogeki said some words and then tell Pyra while holding Klink in place with the blade. "Pyra! FINISH HIM!"

And he quickly get of out of the way while Pyra Ember burn the left energy of Klink.

Kogeki then hold the Kunai in his hand and with the other hand touch Pyra shoulder. "Excellent work Pyra. We did a perfect sync attack in flinch those Ghost Pumpkin. And you people, perfect sync in finish them. That Snarl/Bubbles combo do the finished move we needed."

Kogeki wince in pain in his abdomen still feeling the leftover of Thunder Shock. "Still need to recover from my wounds, but it's not that serious as before in the previous battles. I just need to walk."

When he see Klink fainted with lethal strike and Karen going to help him, Kogeki still hold the weapon in hand. "I don't know if even can heal him Karen. He is not exactly in shape to receive lot of healing. However...I guess there is nothing wrong in try to help. If you can hear me Klink don't try anything funny to our friend or else…" Kogeki said those words pointing in the direction of Klink.

Action: Let Karen do her healing thing. If Klink try anything funny like attack he will use a Clash action using his Kunai to finish off Klink in a no-lethal way.

Old trick or new trick, smol and furry Ziggy Kee kinda started to really really enjoy his Snarl Move. What a nice way to tell other wild 'Mon to not mess with him and the others! ~ The fact that he's appearantly too young still - POKEMON-WISE OF COURSE! - to have a versatile and 'secret ace up his sleeve' bothers him still during quiet moments, but he's confident that he'll grow and develop if putting enough eager and determination into it. Which he OF COURSE will!!1! ( ÒωÓ)و☆

The battle ends relatively quickly and uneventful, yay!~ But given the blatantly SHOCKED and STARTLED glimmer in his deep-read eyes, he's not very pleased over one detail; and it very quickly becomes apparent which one as with a hearty leap fueled by his thrill of the fight he's right next to Karen and uses his full furry body to shield the defeated Klink from further slashes dealt via Kogeki's kunai. But he pays no attention to the delta-doggo of a ninja, and instead prefers to fully focus on damage control: These..marks left on Klink's metal body are kinda serious- and painful-looking, he SHUDDERS over them looking lethal. Thankfully, their metal body shows no spilled blood.

While dear Karen does her thing, Ziggy Kee does his very best to silently be there by her side and provide a calming and reassuring presence. He even goes so far to talk them through/encourage them, as well as gently lick over their kunai marks (not the move). (If this could add a bit to Karen's attempted healing action, it's be very appreciated.)

Dax too decides to try and convince it to go back Sahra Town so that it doesn't have to stay weakened for other opportunistic attackers.

Action: Try to use Tough to convince Klink to join the group if Karen doesn't succeed in healing it.

Karen spends 28 exp to permanently learn a new move and increase her Survival to 1.

2 Special + 1 Survival + 0 Nature = 3
(5)(6)(1)
Karen spends 1 Will Point.

As Karen is kneeling in that prayer-like position, a single drop of water drops down from the ceiling and hits the floor next to Klink.

*drip*

...and then another one hits the floor next to Kogeki.

*drip*

Then the wet floor begins to glow with a soft, comforting glow that envelopes both Klink and Kogeki, and several more drops of water fall from the ceiling in rapid succession, covering the floor around both in a very thin film of the glowing water.  The glow seems to cause wounds to heal a little more rapidly than normal, and before long, Kogeki has recovered from all the damage he took, while Klink's Lethal wounds have been healed.

Kogeki recovers 4 HP over the course of 4 Rounds worth of time, and Klink's Lethal wounds are fully healed in the same amount of time.  Karen has learned Life Dew and leveled up to Level 9.

The metallic pokemon is still struggling to stay conscious, but the compassion from Kee and Daxter does seem to have an effect on the wild pokemon...

I'm thinking this will be an Insight and Empathy based roll, as both Kee and Daxter are concerned for Klink's safety due to Kogeki's attacks.  Karen also happens to agree with the both of them, and decides to throw her metaphorical hat in the ring as well.  "If you get hurt again, I think I should be able to patch you up without much trouble.  And it's safe and warm at the guild, too!  I'm sure this dank, dark cave is a nice place and all, but it must be hard to survive here..."

Daxter: 2 Insight + 0 Contest + 0 Empathy
(6)(4) 2 successes
Karen: 2 Insight + 2 Contest + 0 Empathy
(6)(5)(4)(4) 4 successes!

Kee: 1 Insight + 1 Contest + 0 Empathy + 3 Help = 5
(6)(4)(3)(6)(1) 3 successes
Will: 4
(4)(3)(3)(1) 1 success

The barely conscious half of Klink looks at Karen in particular, a thankful expression clear on its face as it passes out.  Karen takes her Adventure Badge, which is now glowing slightly, and uses it to teleport Klink back to the Guild.

Klink was recruited!

The water from Karen's healing move dries quickly as the dark ruins fall silent once more, lit only by the flames of the torches on the walls.
