[Game Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows

As more and more drops of water fall from the ceiling, Kee STAAAARES at them in awe and tries to catch one with his tongue just because his inner curiosity about literally everything makes him want to do so. He himself hasn't taken any damage, but he still manages to FEEL that healing and comforting aura of the thin film of water on the ground. It makes his finr black-white fur stand on their ends!

With Klink being cared for and the tension that's been lingering in the room slowly lifting itself, the coloful and furry raver slumbs down onto his belly for a well quick breather to recover a little from the sitiation and rush of adrenaline. Huhhh, that's kinda been something, adventurous and exciting for sure! And tiring, but Ziggy Kee's loving it.

Oh and when Pyra starts to look around whether the defeated Pumpkaboo have dropped or left behind anything, he opts to quickly join her and starts to sniff and claw the ground for potential materials to take along and/or sell and /or bring to Markus later on.

When the drops of water heal his wounds, Kogeki feel better. His wounds close and he felt rejuvenated. When the others was able to convince Klink to join them, Kogeki begin to search the room and see if there something hidden before taking the lead again.

Kogeki decided to get closer to Pyra and ask her. "Hey Pyra. Are you okay?"

Dax just waits around for the group. Karen's trick with the water was mighty impressive, and just being near the it seemed to renew his drive to push on. Recruiting Klink was a nice touch too.

When the drops of water heal his wounds, Kogeki feel better. His wounds close and he felt rejuvenated. When the others was able to convince Klink to join them, Kogeki begin to search the room and see if there something hidden before taking the lead again.

Kogeki decided to get closer to Pyra and ask her. "Hey Pyra. Are you okay?"

 
After Klink was unexpectedly healed and Recruited, the lil' fiendess was in a.....subdued mood. It was hard to tell, as she still sported that cheerful and silly smile of hers, but anyone with a keen eye (no, not that Keen Eye!) or sense of Empathy could pick up signs of tenseness and discontent from her. Moreover, her movements were off too, with her just walking around the Room looking for Items and such stuff with little fanfare. Not even finding more scrap metal in the form of 1 Unit of Metal Strips seemed to lift her spirits, though she did smile a bit more as she saw it and packed it away in her Bag. Another worthy prize for her collection, and at the cost of a foe that dared to harm her ninja friend - perfect, really.

Speaking of them, apparently Kogeki was indeed perceptive, for his comment on Pyra's mood was quite spot on. She went still as she contemplated it, before quietly answering.

"....I don't know. Karen's compassion and good grace towards Klink.....it is vexing and mystifying to me. Klink did not deserve such kindness and generosity. Was foolish and risky, unwise and most gambling to share her healing power with it too, yes, for it's future cooperation with us was not yet due. Still yet, it was her right to do-be a caring soul, and it is my duty and purpose to fulfill and uphold the wishes of hers, yours, and everyone else. So I should be fine, should be okay with how things turned out. But I am not... "

She goes silent for a few thoughtful seconds, until she abruptly says "I do not believe or agree with her decision, no no. But it is hers, so I must uphold and abide by it. No matter my feelings, nor my considerations. Such is her will, so be it mine."

And that's all she has to say about this. If no-one has anything to say about that (She was speaking loud enough for the group to listen in, if they wanted), she'll resume her watch and follow diligently in whatever direction Kogeki choose to lead the group in (Reminder: check the Map for heading, mate!) .

Kogeki give Pyra a punch in her shoulder when she said her feelings and considerations doesnt matter. "First, dont diminish your opinion. Your feelings and considerations are important to this group as everyone else. You are member of this party and have the right in say and express what you think and feel."

"Second:..I agree with you to a certain degree. It was pretty much dangerous since that Klink could might attack us like the other enemies we faced so far. However...you and I know. Our job is help the group, and in the future battles against the darkness as you mentioned, individual strengh will not be enough. Having allies with us to counter each member weakness to certain missions is important. A blade is a powerful tool, but without someone to wield it, its just a harmless piece of metal. This is something I learn from my training as a ninja."

Kogeki then put a hand in her shoulder. "Relax. We will end this mission very soon and then return to the town with gold in hands. And a possible ally to our cause." Then Kogeki take out his hand from Pyra shoulder. "I just gonna drain a bit the Aura from those Pumkaboo and then we can explore the next path."

Action: Aura Drain from Pumpkaboo and then follow the path to the next room. This one:

There doesn't seem to be much else in this room.  It's quite empty.  Despite that, Kee manages to spot that there's a shiny, blue orb sitting on top of one of the torches.  Doesn't seem like it'll be difficult to Pick Up, either.

Upon Picking Up the orb, Kee can see an image of arrows (like this: >>>) within the sphere, and he somehow instinctively knows that this is called a Quick Orb, and that all he has to do to activate the effects is to break the sphere.

+1 Dexterity for the entire party for the remainder of the current dungeon floor when used.

Karen will walk up to Pyra, hearing the conversation.

"A little kindness can go a long way too, Pyra.  At least, that's what I think.  These wild pokemon probably have it really rough, living in these mystery dungeons.  And...I'd honestly rather not feel responsible for causing another pokemon to...you know...anyways, I figured it'd just be the nice thing to do, since I don't think that was done on purpose.  It wasn't, right, Kogeki?"

Kogeki saps the energy of the two pumpkin pokemon.  Karen can't help but shudder involuntarily when it happens again, even though she's not looking and doing her best to ignore it.

That feeling of growing power is fleeting, but it feels so good while it lasts.  For that brief moment, Kogeki feels like he could take on the world.

As for progressing, that side path that splits off of the main one is very clearly a dead end, and there's nothing of note there.  Not much progress to be had by traveling in that direction.  Gonna need you to pick a direction that leads to a different tile, @Spiritmon.

"Hmm...that Orb looks like the Orbs those Kecleon show to us before. This one might be useful to keep with us for now. Can you carry that orb with ya Kee? If you dont have enough espace with you I think I have some to spare from my Adventure Bag."

Kogeki nod his head. "I suppose...But remember Kee, we must balance kindness with survival of our group. There gonna be moments you cant always save someone life." Involutuary Kogeki touch his scarf, and feel...sad. But he doesnt know why. "You can always loose someone you care about because of kindness. The only thing you can do is become strong and powerful. And sharp your spirit as a blade." Kogeki grab his Kunai and look at his own reflection in the blade. "...Thats what a ninja can only do."

The brimstone imp is astonished by Kogeki's (to her) unexpected admonishment, so taken aback it caused her jaw to drop and her to take a half step back from them. Their were many things she could've expected for the phantom brave to say, but that? That? Not at all, not one bit. She was the group's caretaker, servant-defender, and wish maker. Her purpose was to [u]always[/i] protect them and follow their Will without fail, without consideration of her own. In all that, through and through, what she thought and felt ultimately didn't matter. That was the simple truth.

To hear someone say otherwise, especially Kogeki, whose's sense of duty and own code so closely mirrors her own.......it was stunning. Confusing. And so very, very unnerving.

His next few responses almost flew over her head, so deep was her shock, but she still nodded a couple of time to him, showing she was still listening to the spiritual ninja. Once he was done, she eventually closed her mouth and looked towards the ground, claw on chin and deep in thought. He's given her quite the revelation, indeed he has. One she needs ample time and peace to fully process, and then to make her own conclusions upon. If it was Kogeki intent to distract her moodiness, he succeeded outstandingly.

.....Until Karen waddled over and gave her the reasoning behind her kindness, which caused the lil' fiendness to snap to attention and whip her to them so fast it almost gave her whiplash. For an uncomfortably long time she just stared at her empathetic friend, her gaze disturbingly deep and contemplative. A full half minute later she broke her silence, speaking to the sparkling fae frankly but not unkindly.


".......I understand, but I do not accept what you say. For I see no reason to be kind and compassionate to those not my friend, my kin, or our allies, no. Nor to care about, care for, invest care in, and feel for others-them, yes indeed. And I have all the reason to loathe-dismiss and feel-not for ones that dare hurt whom I respect, adore, and love."

She takes a moment to pause, and after a short bit of thinking figured that her opinions might raise some question from them, and so decided to elaborate on them, this time in a conversational, caring tone, waving her claw about to emphasize her points.

"Klink was a enemy. I did not care for it, nor its fate without us. I felt nothing for it. I did not care if it lived or died from the Kogeki's sharp knife-blade wounds. Had you not healed and made our group's newest member-future friend, the only thing I would have given it would be a merciful end, or left it to the mercy of its fellow denizens here in. That is all the should've been owed to it. For again I say, Klink was a enemy, and enemy to us all. To give anymore-anything to it, to those like it.....it is unnecessary or risky, without good or grave reason."

Again she pauses, before smiling softly and kindly to Karen and stepping closer to her.

"That is, that was. Klink is now our ally, so I shall come to care for-about-in them in time. So worry not about an hostility to them from me, verily. Though I disagree with such attempts, I shall not stop you from trying to be friends to those our own. Kogeki's words have merit, after all, and friends of my friends become my friends, that-too. So, once more I will say: worry not about an hostility to them, and to also maybe-future-others from me. Okay?"

Saying all that, the fiery demoness concludes her statements by reaching over to pat them on their head in a sympathetic, caring, and almost indulgent way, trying to further reassure the smol fae there would be no trouble or mischief from herself. Hopefully what she said clears things up between them and brings them some comfort! Hopefully!

To Kogeki's second response, she once again nods, this time firmly, encouraging, and with a great big smile. She doesn't really get the whole 'Let's be unconditionally nice enemies/unproven strangers' part of it and Karen's attempt at reasoning it with her (outside of a pragmatic and pseudo-utilitarian sense), but the rest of it is something she can 110% get behind! There are times to be merciful, and there are times to be not. More so the later than the former, but that's just her opinion.

(Whew, that took forever, but it's done and ready for everyone's enjoyment! Now ready to move on whenever, mates!

....GAAAAAASP, the moment Ziggy Kee spots that shiny blue orb on top of one of these toches, he becomes a black-white whirlwind and literaly SWEEPS that orb off the torch without a second thought. He starts to paw and gnaw it in eager curiosity and amid joy, his expression screaming 'Yeeeee I found something interesting!!" And when Kogeki asks whether he's got space to carry it along, the furry crittercoon grins wiiiiidely and instantly packs the orb away deeeep into his guitar bag. "Got 'nough space, it's mineminemiiiine, hehehe, what a handly lil' aid this Quick Orb gonna be for us!~☆"


Concerning the whole conversation happening, he himself listens attentively while licking his paws and using them to clean his face like a cat does. Kogeki's words of one not always being able to save someone's life cause him to involuntarily cringe as a sudden and razor-sharp pain rushes through his whole body. It comes with a wave of sorrow and disappears as fast as it came - where this reaction comes from and why is something that's lost to Kee, but he has the strong feeling that it must have to do with his former human-life. Hmmmm.

Pyra's words... Well, these kinda shocked him at his very core, before a tidal wave of relief washes all of it away. That means, she...would have totally put that Klink o-out of their misery if given the chance?! Ugghhhh.. *cold shivers* Thankfully it didn't come that far, and there's nothing to worry now sincethe steely Klink was one of THEM now. How interesting though how, uh, a Devimp thinks... It's so different from his train of thoughts, which is pretty close to Karen's. Battles and fights among fellow Pokemon are fun and thrilling, but violence and cruelty towards the beyond these battles... NOPE, Ziggy Kee himself will either help and stand up for someone, or suffer massively trying, even if it may cost him some of his own safety.

"It's also hard to make friends if you don't make an active effort to do so.  At least, that's what I think I remember someone telling me a long time ago...hmmmm...who said that to me, again...?"

Karen becomes a little lost in thought as she tries to remember, and thus drops the topic for the time being.

Moving on, it's finally time for the group to reach the location of their first mission objective!  Hooray!

A large pile of those seed scraps sits at the base of the wall to the team's right as they initially enter this tile.  More vexing is that the trail of seed scraps and red fur seems to end there.  Monferno was definitely here, but where did they go?

The corridor continues past the end of the trail, and it seems to become a large set of stairs a little further along.

Karen walks up to the pile of scraps, looks at it for a moment, then presses her hands against the wall it's next to.  "...okay, so...what do we do now?  The trail seems to end at this wall..."
