Give Pufluff a 2nd ability

(I was expecting this to happen) I can't believe I've been breeding this mon for a week (Or 2) only to find out that when I evolved it into Alpico, it had this ability instead of Technician.



I am so enraged right now. I IV hunted for the correct IVs to make it HP Fire and now, I started breeding my Pufluffs. And seeing as how it has the other ability instead of the one i'm aiming for, I am suggesting a 2nd ability for Pufluff. So I can make IV breeding with the correct ability for this species much easier. Perhaps Fur Coat could work as Pufluff's 2nd ability. I'm not sure why the original creators didn't come up with this.

Well, I can get higher chances of finding an Alpico with Technician in Lanthanite Core, but I don't want to catch Lanthan and trying to catch a Pokemon with a partner is tough.

I'd love for this to happen. But do you?

I see no problem with it at all. Anything that simplifies breeding and make it more covenant is a good thing in my book~!

Pufluff is not only pokemon who can cause this problem (surprise with HA, HA is really secret or really hidden).

Por exemple:
Tonemy - has regular ability Levitate, no HA
Tofurang - except regular ability Intimidate can have HA Moxie

S51 - has regular ability Levitate, no HA
S51-A - except regular ability Intimidate can have HA Analytic

Although I don't like changing pokemons during progress (including types, stats, abilities, learnable moves etc.) I did not clearly undestand how these realy hidden abilities works in breeding and when the are genereted (when pokemon is caught or when it evolved).

If it is neccesary add an ability (It would make understanding HA passing clearer.), why to Pufluff only? I doubt it is such a huge difference in comparison with pokemons who have not branch evolution.

Now that you said that, having some indicator that a Pokémon has the 'genes' for a HA would be a rather nice thing, if they normally had only one ability in a pre-evolution, but have the Potential for a HA in latter ones. Its... annoying to have to grind a female to see whether or not they actually have the 'gene' for the HA,,,,

About grinding ... I think male can pass HA with duplicat too, don't they?

Yeap, they can. Its just far easier to breed with HA females than it is with a HA male and a Duplicat (Even if it is a good one).

20% chance, but some people have gone through over a box without a single HA before... So it's a pain... For them, I mean, last time I bred HA with a M, I got a HA F within 5 eggs...

Lucky you, Monkey. Let's see whether I can fulfill my aim for a full HA-Eeveelution-set, though. Or rather, how many bredjects I will have in the end.

Why would you be doing that? Just for fun? Cuz HA Eevee is only good for Sylveon and Espeon, and MAYBE questionable for Flareon/Jolteon... The rest are better off with their normal ability

I could see Ice Body or Hydration being useful in certain weather sets. They aren't really in vogue right now in Uranium, but someday they might be.
