[Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels

But now the situation became very much complicated. Her pokemon can attack and dodge the same time?! This is somehow very much powerfull. For now I should focus in another kind of strategy. Could I return Baltazar to the pokemon and bring Sekmet? Or order him to dodge the next attack them dodge the next attack of Flyer? Half of HP was already be drain. This complicate things...

Also Windos, I will make my post only tomorrow about my strategy. I really need to think about what to do.

Only Fryer can do that, due to having the move Acrobatics EX as a trained Surprise! (Along with her + 4 HP to her Base!), so its not all that bad. She still has to beat the dice roll of her opponent in order to hit, and ties just have her dodge out of the way without dealing damage!

For the second question, yes you can, but you would forfeit the A.P. boost on Baltazar, and Fryer could deal nasty damage unresisted damage against Sekmet with her Arcobatics (especially if she just decides to full on attack instead of attacking and dodging with the move). Baltazar's Flitched in his first Action next round, so he's not doing anything until that's over. However, he stands more than a good chance of surviving a Aqua Tail, and Acrobatics EX is not a killer dealer move against him, so its probably the safer move to keep him out to soften up the basic bird.

Take your time planning things out mate, and post when you got everything in order!

No, it doesn't.  The book says the move raises these Attributes: Strength, Dexterity, Special (which is non-existent in these campaigns for simplicity), and Defense, which is influenced by but separate from Vitality.  Increases to Vitality mid-battle are almost non-existent (the sole exception to the rule might be a Power Construct Zygarde, since that's the sole exception in the games).

Wow. The dice have decided to have mercy on Arial...amazing. That Archeops was probably going to trash his entire team if Baltazaar didn't take it out...

These dice really do feel like they're loaded with a whimsy of their own making, don't they?

Whoosh! Thanks God the lady luck was in my side this time! Man, Arial really have luck in his side! Many (1)s in one roll from the foe? Never in my life I would expect this type of thing! Now I aware that Electrike might take down Baltazar in one attack, but its kind dangerous to bring another pokemon now. I need to least cause damage, or see what kind of move he have. Lets hope Wide Guard can protect from part of attack and survive enough to him use a power Confusion. At least I hope. So that way, Sekmet or Empirilla can finish the battle. At least I hope.

@Lord Windos

Don't forget to account for Zapper's -1 Dex as well.  That's a total of a -6 accuracy penalty after -1 Pain.  That second Thunder only baaarely hit.

And the confusion shouldnt have make Electrike hit himself with confusion? Or it serves to reduce the dex of the enemy?

Confusion inflicts a -2 accuracy penalty. Completely separate from other debuffs. If a Confused pokemon misses an attack or its dice pool is reduced to 0, they take 1 damage. There are two ways to cure Confusion without an item. One: switch. Two: spend an action to do Insight checks. Accumulate 5+ successes across all the checks, and you snap out of Confusion.

Skull Ruins uses the Confusion rules from a prior version of the game, so it works very differently there. (Roll Insight -2 at the start of the round. If the check fails and the pokemon misses an attack or its dice pool is reduced to 0 in the round, they may hurt themselves at GM discretion. Switching cures it, but it also wears off on its own after a few rounds)

Regardless of the iteration, it's REALLY dangerous.

Windos, don't forget Sekmet's Aftermath again! It triggers in two different ways this round! If all 3 extra damage dice are successes, Zapper faints! And because Zapper also KOed Sekmet with a contact move (a Strike in this case), it does 2 damage when Sekmet faints as well!

Alright, I'll take all that into account, but I'll likely make it so that the Full Restore won't be used until the Burn Procs, which will come after Aftermath and Rad Damage is calculated. As for the Aftermath Explosion contact damage, Doh! That'll teach Zapper for not being paranoid.....presuming she survives the Aftermath of Xenoqueen's move, that is!
