[Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels
Well, I like to think it could be used as a Mega Evolution. Not ALL Mega Evolution need to be a drastic change in the pokemon form. It can have some slight changes to keep simple but at the same time keep cool.

Electruxo per example don't change to much from his base form. He only get a few orbs around him along with a few Sparks. Its not a huge transformation. Sabbleye is more or less the same thing. His gem become bigger but the rest of his body don't suffer a huge change (only a few details).

In some cases Mega Evolution can be only a boost of power without drastic changes.

I have no idea how you want to change a Mega Stone full of minerals and a little bit of special energy via DNA Splicing or Breeding (can energy have a genome?), but Pokemon Science follows its own rules anyway.

Forget about the Dragon Type, I want 10 of these because it's so hilarious. *Meow*

Well, it's just a idea. Maybe they could make a artificial Mega Gyarodosite with Dragon Type essence? Or maybe a never see Mega Stone who can trigger another Mega Evolution? The possibilities is almost limitless. Even more in a roleplaying.

I want 20 of these Slug Gyarados! Or should I call Garyrados? Don't know but still funny Big Grin

*Meows harder* You'd have to have the matching MegaStone at first though before you can dabble in 'editing' it, creating one yourself feels near impossible if it's true that they're Evolution Stones irradiated by Xernear or Yveltal.

You right...a Mega Stone who came to life from Xerneas or Yveltal it would be impossible to make with Artificial methods.

Only the GM can determine if there is any chance of such Mega Stone and Mega Evolution exist in the campaign. It is because I think a Mega Dragon Gyarados would be better instead of his Dark Mega. 5/6 weakness is awfully to deal with. A Dragon type would great reduce such type weakness and increase Gyarados power potential.

Besides, Gyarados belong to the Dragon egg group, so a Mega Dragon would be awesome. And we don't have Water/Dragon Pokemon except Palkia (who don't make any sense).

We're having Kingdra as an official Water/Dragon Type and several good Fakemon of that Type-Combo!~
I'm still not much of a fan of the concept of Megaevo though.

Oh yeah Kingdra is also Water/Dragon...but it is the only no-Legendary Pokemon with such type since it's a good defensive type. And combine that with the offencive power of Gyarados.

Now that I think about it I can understand why Gyarados don't become Dragon Type. Unless he fight against Steel, Fairy or other Dragons, that thing would be tremendous powerful...

*stares at Gen 1, when Water/Dragon was only weak to Dragon...and the only Dragon type attack was Dragon Rage*

That's the most common theory for why Gyarados was not a proper Dragon type.  It wouldn't have had any weaknesses at all originally.

Water type combine with certain types make a excellent defense typing. But it's power depends in the hands use it.

What your opinion in that topic @Lord Windos?

*Shrugs* Don't really have one. Gyarados is a Water/Flying type, for whatever reason Game Freak ultimately decided. Wish it was Water/Dragon, but that aint happening.
