Its the impression I got from when I asked him and received his answer about the direction my campaign went, but I'll let them speak for themselves now to clear things up if they wish.

Honestly, if I'm continuing a story with Reiner or someone related to his story, I'd want it to be free from the Cursed Arms. There are story points outside of Celadon that I would find interesting to explore, but I really wouldn't want the burden of such an intrusive plot point interrupting things.
I'm fine with fast forwarding to a later point after the NRF is exploded for expediency's sake.
If you want to continue the Cursed Arm plot, Spirit, I won't stop you (nor really have any right to as a player). Mew, however, would prefer it if we destroyed ALL the Cursed Arms we have on hand.

Well, maybe I will. But Arial journey defenitely ends. He gonna have well deserved vacations with his new girlfriend Riza. Welp, I was trying to make a surprise when the new journey comes, but I didnt know if you would continue in the campaigh or not. Going on a solo adventure its something lonely in my opinion. But if you dont want to continue and only want to watch, thats perfect fine too. No spoilers since I dont want to say anything more.

On my end, its a fair bit more complicated than that, and new chara has their own skeletons to sort through, but that's one way they can be added to the story.
As for the Cursed Arm Plot line.....well, its honestly verging on becoming the main one, and the only reason it hasn't is because that one is strictly speaking about the Flower Festival and how the Rocket Grunts (IE: Reiner and Arial) navigate it, and deal with all the crazy stuff that goes down. I had a LOT of stuff planned out for that (Cursed Arms), while I've haven't given much thought to building onto Reiner's own personal quest until I was recently informed how much I fucked that up. Right now, the only thing left I have for Reiner specifically is him making a grand return to Blackthorn someday to deal with THAT tangled mess, along with Clair's resurrection and how is he going to navigate the various lingering drama from Celadon, but its ill defined atm and I'm not too sure if he'd want to go back their (Blackthorn) to begin with, after his mom warned him of all the trouble and his own feelings about the place.
Arial pretty much revolves around Reiner's plotline, due to his own being rather tightly woven given his subordinate status, but then Riza came along to give him a solid purpose outside of that, and his friendship with Nelly is an interesting avenue to explore potentially. What happens to him will depend on the......outcome of what they end up deciding to do about Spirit's proposal, though, so I don't really want to plan out anything more for him until that is decided....

I'm not sure what Reiner will do eventually. Right now, I'm just focusing on what's about to happen and not worrying about much beyond that.
Well, there is one thing that's certain about what Reiner wants to do, and that's to try and free Lucy, wherever she is. How things develop during and after that...I guess we'd have to wait and see.
