Idea for a way to add in Zephy (SPOILERS)

Oh maaaan, tho, I could go one for about 8 trillion years about all my Cameron headcanons. Whenever I'm given a character that isn't elaborated on very clearly in a story, my analytical side eats it up heehee! (...I won't talk your ear off tho bc I know they're all trash xD)

That was sure a good joke, and I am sad to see that their is no Thundering applause. Oh well, it sure was Super Effective on me, since I find pun to be positively Electrifying . If any one starts to hiss and boo at you, just ignore their Dragonconic attitude, and you will find Fairy quickly that their attacks are Not Effective at all~! I don't know, I agree that Zephy should not be a mystery gift pokemon. I think the punks would be something Cameron would be more likely to give up. The pokedex entry stats its the inspiration pokemon and according to the wiki its placeholder held item is a stardust or starpiece so I think they way you should catch it should relate with the stars or wishing.

Okay so, bear with me because this idea is really ridiculous and I should be put in jail for it:

I was sitting around wondering how exactly you would incorporate Zephy into the game, and it kinda dawned on me. The end game is pretty empty at the moment, Theo doesn't say much to you after you beat him for the Championship, the side quests are mostly short and simple, and then what does that leave you with? Completing the Pokedex, obviously. But, as it stands right now, the pokedex simply cannot be completed, as many of the legendaries have yet to be added.

But then I thought, what if to obtain Zephy, you had to win a battle? A really hard battle that you would have to train for to win? It would be a lot more satisfying to receive instead of just a mystery gift and then, you get (one of) the pokemon you need to complete the dex. But who could possibly have that pokemon?

What about Cameron? Like... He was apparently an incredibly powerful electric-type trainer. And much of his history is left intentionally obscure (...though I have my theories ehehehe). He could be a battle similar to Red or Steven in the canon games, where you really have to prepare to fight him. And his team could be something like Yatagaryu, Stenowatt, Haagross, Theriamp, Zephy, and Mega Ampharos. Or something similar. And, if you beat him, he gives you Zephy. The levels could be something like 85-90 or 90-95, and his Pokemon could be given competitive items like choice items, leftovers, life orbs, and rocky helmets. 

I dunno, ehe, it's a dumb idea, but what do you guys think? I would personally love the option to take on Cam and his OP as heck Yatagaryu xD

I thought about that as well, but the reason why I disagree that Cam would be someone to offer the punks is that, to put it bluntly, his character is portrayed as stoic and wistful. That's not someone you would expect to give you Pokemon based on Daft Punk. Also, winning two Pokemon from a single fight seems a bit unnecessary. I feel like earning the punks would be better done as Pokedex completion prizes, or, perhaps, a prize for completing a Nuzlocke challenge (gives people more motivation to challenge themselves with Nuzlocke mode).

Well it could have been one of those you pick your reward battle between the two punks encouraging trading or replaying the game for the other. My idea for the punks is for it to be put into the ranger missions, you do ranger missions  saving nuclear pokemon in the postgame. After doing a certain amount of ranger quests, the rangers entrust you with a mission to go inspect the opening of a solar plant, to show a transfer from nuclear power more eco-based power, on behalf of the rangers. During the open ceremony, the plants entire operating system gets highjacked by  Neopunk and Praseopunk so you have to go and stop them. All of the ranger missions could maybe repeatable and you can still access the solar power plant through the rangers if you beat it but no new Neopunk or Praseopunk will spawn there making it a somewhat one time only mission. That was my idea for the punks.
I could maybe see Cameron being a battle not exactly having Zephy but protecting Zephy. Maybe like a Victini thing where Zephy is stored away in a building and you have to battle Cameron to get the right in order to go into the room and fight it I guess.

I really like this idea! I've been dying to see Cameron get a team to battle the player with, and including Zephy as a reward is a great way to integrate both plot points! (There's also an interesting parallel with CURIE-both specialize in a certain type, and after defeating them, you receive a legendary of the type they specialize in)

Eh, I would just be fine with Zephy being available via Mystery Gift, either directly from it, or getting an item that would allow you to access where it is located. Whether or not the Mystery Gift should be available post game only is another question that needs to be asked as well...

Hopefully, my opinion is not too Polarizing.
