[Meta thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure : Celadon City Vandels

Phew...that took awhile to type.  Whatcha guys think, @Lord Windos and @Spiritmon?  I've been looking forward to typing something like that up for Kingdra for a good, long while, and I didn't think I'd get to do so during the course of this campaign.  And as an FYI, I've actually been trying to flex some of my own storytelling capabilities with the whole Reiner and Taylor backstory thing, in order to practice for my own campaign stuff when it kicks off.  I've been happy with how it's turned out so far, but I definitely would like to hear some overall thoughts on how I've been doing, what with my test campaign looming on the horizon.

And ooh boy, am I looking forward to seeing how Taylor reacts to Hope...



BTW, outta curiosity, Spiritmon, what do you think of the concept behind the Legendary Volchik's design?  I personally quite like the idea of it, given how thematic it is.

To be honest, you have improved quite a lot as much I can tell when joined in this Pokerole thing. You way of tell the scenes and the action of your chara and his pokemons its quite impressive and the way you tell his backstory its quite impressive too.

Also I also like quite a lot the concept begind Legendary Volchic. Yatagaryu was already one of my favourite Pokemon in Uranium and is very much powerfull. Now being daughter of the Dragon King itself? Even more better! I also curious to discover how the Elder Council was able to find a way to breed a Pseudo Legendary with a Legendary Pokemon like Rayquaza? Legendary Pokemon as much I can tell its unbreedable. Well, except for a few exceptions: Lugia baby in the Pokemon Anime, and Phione who is a child of Manaphy with a Ditto (who the big N dont even explain why this).

Also @Lord Windos this post its the hook for the meeting with Zuryk. Since Zuryk have better conection to Arial via dreams, thats the best solution to our little problem to Riza humanity. Prepare for the meeting god of darkness.

just realized something ironic: because of the effects of the Mysterious Air Currents that Typhoon Weather has, Hope will never be able to hit Flying types super effectively with her souped up Electric attacks.

Good thing Thunder EX and Hurricane EX do +1 damage regardless of type while Typhoon Weather is active, I guess?

I also realized that as she is currently, Hope has exactly 0 easily exploitable weaknesses while Typhoon Weather is active.  Her Flying type makes her immune to Ground, and the MACs nullify all of her existing weaknesses, leaving only resistances and immunities.  That won't be the case when she's a Legendary Yatagaryu, obviously, as Dragon is still weak to Ice, Dragon, and Fairy, but that's still pretty dang impressive, having so few exploitable weaknesses.

Not now, anyway. When she's fully grown, she'll be able to take more.....liberties with her Plot Devices. She embodies a fraction Mega Ray's might and Legendariness, so that logically entails she'll gain more control over it and expand its capabilities as she growns older and/or stronger.

Yeap! All comes with having a Plot Device for an Ability, and it/her being partly Legendary at that! Gravity can still fuck with her, though, as can Unconventional Damaging Moves, Type Changing/Adding Move, Ability Changing Moves (Oh hey, Kingdra has access to a Plot Device now....as do other Skill Swap/Skill Swap EX Pokemon/Trace Pokemon. Hm...) trapping her then waiting for her Ability to expire, Disabling/Flitching/Sleeping her......

Point is, she isn't invincible (Yet....maybe) but she's a pretty dang hard nut to crack regardless.

I think at least of the only few things who could stop Hope would be Nuclear moves, but even that could not even that powerfull against her. Unless of course you want make a almight Legendary Nuclear Yatagaryu. The slightest though make tremble in fear. ...I don't think they literally bred Lucy with Rayquaza...they were probably only trying to experiment with ways to augment the species's natural power over Thunderstorms...and then by some miracle, it ended up being far, far more successful than I think anyone would have imagined IC...

In a way, I guess Hope is technically a daughter of Rayquaza, though?  At the very least, she is in a more spiritual sense, given she literally has Mega Rayquaza's emblem emblazoned on her chest...

Indeed. Imagine the power Hope gonna acquire when she become a adult. We could even give a name to this form...Yatagaryu Queen Dragon Form? Or maybe Dragon Princess? Dont know, I open for suggestions. And also, a Pokemon who literally have the emblem of the Dragon King in the chest under the command of Reiner its the most perfect and fitting symbol of power and respect to make Reiner someone to take serious to lead Blackthorn. After what those Elders have done they dont deserve the power they hold: Give a dangerous Cursed Arm to Reiner Counsil/half-sister, blackmail Lucy and Taylor, exiled a child in his own luck. They done more damage than good. Time to someone put them down. Who problably gonna be Reiner, Hope, his Pokemons and also...another ally.

How considerate of you, puppeter! But wholey unnecessary in this case, as I have the means to 'get in touch' with mortals outside of The Dream World! Can't forget my oh so delightfully personal introduction to Reiner, now can we? I certainly can't, heheheheHA!

Still, for the newly formed lover, I can be a bit more.....flexible in meeting with him. Doesn't matter how we get togther, its only a matter of when, hehehehehehehe......

And Kyubi too. She would do anything for Reiner also. And Weavile, Arbok, Kingdra, Yang, Metagross, Rhyxemplar and all his Pokemons in his side. No chance in hell they gonna let him fall.

I very aware my dark friend, but lets not fright the lovely couple. Lets wait until they are sleeping. That way they will be having a more cool head and ready for our meeting. No need to scare Riza and ruin the romantic moment they are having no?
