[Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery
I'm pretty much share Mika's opinion on whether or not spend another Day in Snowpoint; I don't especially want to do so, but if we end up doing so anyway because the others wish to, I'm fine with that. Can always find stuff to spend Encounter Slots on, and maybe change my mind about challenging Candice.

I'm going to finish up the discussion between our characters in my next post, dear, so you may want to choose an Encounter for Kee to do (if any) and post which is it in the meantime (either in the Game Thread or Meta Thread), so that everyone can get started on their next Encounters when they are ready.

Okay, I'll do that and then I'll head to bed.

Rarity.  While the encounters themselves are technically always 'rare' as far as Sinnoh is concerned, I'm rolling to see how rare the things they've got are in their region of origin.

Difficulty will of course influence the quality of the rewards as well, for obvious reasons.

I'll have to get to rolling VS Vicky Round 1 tomorrow, Windos.  About to join my irl friends for some Twitch streaming tonight, which is going to take up the rest of my free time tonight.

A little question people around Sandstorms: Since Sunny increase the power of Fire moves and reduce water moves, and Rain Dance is the reverse, is Sandstorm along with the buff of defense around Rock types plus damage per round, is someway increase the power of Rock type moves? Since one of my strategy is around weather change this is important.

Sandstorm doesn't really do anything but gives + 2 Special Defense to Rock Types (Which may or may not be stackable with Move/Item Buffs) , does chip Damage, and triggers Sand Abilities. There are no Moves but Shore Up that benefit from Sandstorm, so unless one of your Pokemon has Sand Force/Sand Rush you're not going to get much from Sand but the benefits I've already listened.

In general, it seems that Rain/Sun and Sand/Hail are balanced enough, with the Non-Damaging Weather giving Buffs/Debuffs to their respective Type targets and getting a few Moves that benefit from them, Hail doing chip Damage to non-Ice Type and buffing Attributes directly and making Blizzard/Aural Viel usable, while Sand gives Rocks + 2 Special Defense and hurts anything but Steel, Ground, and Rock types, which means a more balanced/diverse can be built around the Weather. Still, I do wish their was a Move that benefited from a Sand, but its not strictly speaking necessary for it to be good.

Well, don't have Sand Rush or Sand Force. The weather I mentioned it's a Cocancer. He has all three types of weather moves: Sunny Day, Sandstorm and Rain Dance. It was one of the strategy I build while making my team, since I was trying to balance with the core types: Fire(Antarki), Water(Daikatuna/Greninja) and Grass(Cocancer).

He has Harvest, Sand Veil a Chlorophyll. My strategy with is set the weather I need most to increase one of the types. Or do chip damage with Sandstorm. He has Giga Drain and Absorb as STABSs/Restoration moves (regards of the fact he has more physical power than special). And since I guy who value moves to counter weakness, I give him Stone Edge to counter Flying/Ice types.

Unfortunately he lacks of stronger Physical grass moves or Ground STAB. Kogeki strategy is adaption. Is around have more than just one type of strategy: Types change with Protean. Deceiving and protection with Light Screen/Reflect with Dramsama. Pure power with Sheer Force. Prankster shenanigan's with Antarki. Weather change with Cocancer. And so long. A ninja must adapt depending of the situation and I try to be loyal to that as possible.

That's why I asked about Sandstorm. A buff in Rock type moves could make up for the lack of STAB moves, or at least grant +2 Accuracy in Rock moves, like Rain Dance give +2 accuracy to Thunder and Hurricane.

But that's just a idea.
