[Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery
I'm tired and will leave now, so I'll just be quick and say that I don't like the idea of these Blind Initiatives, as I prefer to make informed decisions for orders and my chara's not the most speedy nor vital one that a bad outcome due to lacking information can be laughed off like nothing. Especially since we can't use a move more than once per Round, so every info matters for me. I rather wait for the Init being set and shared instead of typing up a lot of conditional orders, it already takes me some time to type up orders. Simply splitting up things the way it was at the lake fells like a better choice.

WAIT: Does that mean that if I order a move that will affect the whole battlefield, I'll hit Ran's/Karen's/Kogeki's Pokemon as well? :O That completely messes with what I wanted to do in that Encounter.

Mmhm.  It does indeed.  If you want to change who you send out, feel free to do so.

Reasonably? Why can't you do it unreasonably, then? Unless you designed this Encounter to specifically tackle/be tackled by the Group as a whole (as in it's a hard on requirement, rather than how you designed the arena and place the combatants in it), you could still just section of parts of the Horde for One on One Battles with us, even if it doesn't make logical sense for it to happen that way. Convenience > Logic should be the dynamic of a tabletop game, unless it just breaks the rules or given scenario entirely.

For the sake of agreeing to do the Encounter logically but still conveniently, though, one way of doing what I proposed in this instance is if the horde of Alolan Sands were radially dispersed around the four characters in four clusters (1 Alolan Sandslash and 3 Alolan Sandshrews per Chara), and each cluster focuses on one chara, forcing them to only fight against them unless they want to get overwhelmed. If the cluster would be too weak that way, just bump up their Stats to compensate, give them stronger Moves, or other bonuses (Like Icy Terrain giving + 1 DEX to grounded Ice Types like them, instead of them not suffering a penalty, since they're experience working on this Terrain). Does that sound feasible?

I more up to know initiates. That way, we know better how to make our next move.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

Also I am kinda on a dilemma: I am thinking in bring Ralts to the battlefield and use Misty Terrain. That way, we will not be worry with Ice Terrain. Or maybe bring Gama and make him change types and spread moves, or maybe Susano'o, since he is basically Kogeki strongest Pokemon.

*Shrugs* Guess my idea is a no go then. I personally think Blind Play is not as big of a deal as it would seem, but I can understand and accept why you both don't find it a savory idea to indulge in.

Ralts is Disobedient, seems to have the same 'problem' that Belladona does when it comes to following Orders (IE: Loyalty still has to be rolled against Disobedience, even if Loyalty is = or > than Disobedience), is a pretty frail Pokemon disregarding its Moves, AND the Alolan Sands are part Steel type, so sending them out to battle against the Horde sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. Gama would be a nice choice for the reasons you specified, but Mega Susano would be a bulky nightmare the AS's would be able to deal with well. So, either Gama or Susano is a fine choice, imo.

This encounter is designed for the whole group to be tackled all at once, yes.  It's part of the challenge in this specific encounter.

The snowshrews are indeed dispersed like that, actually.  Because you guys are all bunched up like this, that means you can either focus on the groups that are immediately in front of your characters or assist other characters as necessary if you're confident you can stomach some hits from your own group of enemies.

It also means that AOE attacks hit EVERYONE, which is a big, big wrench in anything when it comes to trying to split up the encounter into separate battles should an AOE move be used.

Not necessarily.  That was rolled mostly because that Mightyena was REALLY scary for a young pokemon, even if they are part Fairy type. Cleffa rolled Loyalty in that instance as well.
